Dear Jim, to cut slate you would use a diamond blade. They come in a range of sizes and you get one the same size as the cutter discs. Check that you have a good fit at the spindle so that the blade doesnt wobble. Most blades come with a bushing to ensure a good fit. Be sure to wear a face mask as the dust is nasty. Cheers.
