The best tea

published

Had been searching for years to find a black tea that has some flavour as other brands just seemed to have zero taste. When I tried the Diplomat, I was so relieved to have finally found a tea that I can taste. I drink it every morning and find it refreshing, with a lovely fragrant tea taste without the blandness, bitterness or smokeyness of other brands. Just perfect English breakfast tea taste. My only complaint is that it is often in short supply.

Really good tea

published

Tried this tea from Aldi and was really happy with it. Certainly more than your average black tea with other flavours evident. And excellent value for money. Would definitely keep drinking this one.

Gah! Disgusting taste.

published

Had this at my parents place. Presumed it was Twinings as the colour/styling is almost identical and I didn’t read the label - just saw that it was English Breakfast. Taste was revolting. I can’t put my finger on it. Weak stale taste and seemed to have taken on the chamomile/earl grey taste from the teabags it was stored with. Won’t make that mistake twice.

Not my cup of tea

published

Brought the brand Diplomat tea from Aldi. Not a nice flavour of tea. I find it very bitter tasting and the tab on the tea bag always falls of the string.

Purchased in September 2022 at Aldi Nambour .

Musings on the Earl Grey

published

The Earl Grey is a life affirming concious expanding cup of existential possibilities. It's bold aromas and poinetly exentuated flavanoids are a delight to the palette and leave all other teas in its wake as the snivelling sichophants that they are. It's also well priced.

Purchased in March 2022.

Perfect tea bags

I bought Diplomat tea by accident and so glad I did. So much more flavour. Other products pale in comparison

Weak tasteless tea, pathetic copycat of Dilmah Tea!

published

I can't believe Aldi is getting away with making copycat brands of all the foods and drinks we grew up with.
Cheap tasteless tea, not worth spending your money on. Please buy the original tea brand instead!

Weak as and terrible taste Aldi teabags

published

Enough said its rubbish don't waste your money, the flavour is terrible it is as weak as pee. I wouldn't even give a one star rating.

mmm
mmm

The reason it tastes terrible is that it is boxed with Earl Grey tea and the teabags are not sealed with foil so the Earl Grey permeates the English Breakfast

mmm

Still haven't changed the packaging so still permeated by the strong Earl Grey flavour yuck!
