Can't live without it!!!
I love lemon scented Earl Grey above all else and am so dissapointed that I cannot buy it anywhere anymore, such a shame. So glad I'm not the only one but am totally amazed that such a great product is no longer available, obviously there is a market for it with a dedicated client base. This needs rectifying!

Why can't I buy it anymore
Hi... I have been drinking Only this tea for 33 years and now it's vanished from Countdown and New World in NZ... Nor is it in Paknsave or Fresh Choice... I was very upset with the 30 down to 20 sizing but recovered from that... But I don't know how my tea drinking life will ever be the same.... Seriously I Love this tea!
So I have bought Dilmah and am putting a squeeze of lemon in it... My second cup at the moment... Its not the same and I am mortified that I can no longer drink this tea from Twinings... A 7 cup a day habit!.... Please help me?

Bring back the lemon.
I have been drinking lemond scented tea for over 30 years, what the hell is going on. Why change it, as it's so tasteless and yes I have tried many times thinking it might change back but it's still same and know I have to find something else to drink which is sad. First you change the size from 50 to 30 in a pack then you took the taste so please don't change things that are not necessarily. Bring back the old tea or you will loose us as your customers.

Twinings Lemon Scented tea
I too have been drinking this tea for 35 years, absolutely love it and make a special trip to Woolworths only to buy this tea x 4 boxes at a time. You are all right the flavour has changed. I am now concerned about the plastics in tea bags that are not biodegradable or should be added to compost [according to Twinings] I now will be trying to find loose leaf tea to buy - somewhere in the world.

Love the tea, hate the packaging
3 out of our last 4 packages have had the tea bags stuck in the packaging so that when we open the packet the tea bags that are stuck, rip. Not happy with the new packets.

Can't find lemon scented tea
I can't even find Twinings Lemon Scented tea any more. I have been chasing it in Woolworths, Coles any supermarket I pass in the hope I can fine it. A shame, they seem to be losing a lot of business. Glad to read there are others out there who like it and miss it.

glad I'm not going mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All these reviews reflect my experience with Twinings and their Lemon scented tea over the last few years. Especially the black tags!!! I'm frustrated that Woolworths is the only place you can purchase now, and YES the flavour is not what it used to be!!! We should bombard Twinings with complaints!!!

Lacks The Original Flavour!
I have been drinking Twinings Lemon Scented Tea for as long as I can remember and did think the lemon flavour was lacking over the last year or so, but wondered if it was just me and that my sense of taste was the problem. Today I was cleaning out a cupboard and came across an old picnic case in which I found some Lemon Scented tea bags in a plastic container. The bags were individually wrapped, but in a paper cover that you tear open and the yellow flimsy tag tears away from the bag. It's not like the plastic type of individually wrapped tea b...Read more
ags you get these days where the bag is separate to the cover and it has a harder separate black tag. I was nearly going to throw the tea bags away thinking they would be old and would have lost their flavour, but I'm so glad I didn't because the flavour was SO much more lemony and it made me realise I don't have a problem at all with my sense of taste. WHY OH WHY has Twinings changed the way this tea is produced! :( Very sad indeed!! Like others, I can only purchase this tea from Woolworths now, but seriously thinking of giving it the flick!!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

They wrecked it!
Why is Lemon Scented Tea so tasteless now? Why don't Twinings admit to the change in production? How is it possible that so many people think the same thing about the quality and taste change but Twinings won't admit and change it back? It makes me so sad...

The only tea I drink.
I love this tea and I am worried it's not going to stay in production. It is so difficult to find now.

Only tea to drink
I have drunk this tea for 30+ years, in Australia you can buy it in Woolworths only. The flavour of the tea did change when the packaging changed, I wrote to Twinings and they said it was an error and would be fixed, (taste only) which it did.
I am living in the USA now and having my family send me care packages of tea and vegemite. :)

Bad production runs in 2014 over, back to good "yellow label" version
If the batch expiry date is in 2016, dont buy it, 2017 and on seems to be back to normal. This is a great tea and I can drink 3 mugs a day - something I cannot do with any other tea. My biggest problem is supply, the local Coles only has the 50 bag boxes and recently they seem to have abandoned those as well (not even a slot on the shelf for them). Still, I have 10 boxes in the cupboard so I can wait a couple more months for them to restock ;-)

Over 200 Terrible Tasting Tea Bags!
Sharyn - We've noticed this too!! My husband and I have been drinking Twinings Lemon scented for more than 24 years and recently noticed a change. At first we thought it was the milk (yes, we drink it with milk!) and threw out 2 cartons before realising it was the tea. My wife wrote to Twinings who at first provided excellent customer support, offering to replace the tea and send some "extra goodies" too. The tea arrived shortly after (minus the goodies) and tasted just as terrible as the first lot. We have written to Twinings on 2 occasions si...Read more
nce, and their delayed reply was like a form letter and referred mainly to the black tags. The terrible tasting tea we complained about, and sent back to them all had yellow tags! We had not even raised the issue of tags. They did not refer to the flavour change other than to say "Our master tea-blender Mike Wright has also tested these batches on his visit to Australia late last year and found them to be well within standard. We have listened to our consumer’s feedback regarding the tag changeover and the decision was made some time ago to have the tags changed back. The new yellow tags are now out on shelf and these may be the box you purchased." We asked if they had changed the formula/blend, but they did not answer that enquiry. So then we purchased a wide selection of different Twinings flavours, and guess what??? Their Irish Breakfast has the same awful tang and even the English Breakfast has changed. The Aussie Afternoon Tea tastes okay. We've have now given up on buying Twinings...and are trying other brands. Very disappointed!! They have changed the flavour and won't admit to it.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

China production - Now rubbish
We have almost exclusively drunk twinnings lemon scented tea for well over 10 years - we know the flavour...
Now for various reasons confusedly rambled to us by the twinnings australian customer support staff they have been changing the production in china. As a result it tastes terrible - do not buy until fixed!
The 1st occurrence of a problem happened in mid 2013, we normally buy 6 to 10 of the 50's boxes when on special and one of them when opened we found the tea bag tags had a black jiggling tag rather than the normal yellow tags. ...Read more
Thinking that it was a minor error we tried a bag, terrible. Actually threw the box away it was that boring/bad. Just ran out last night of the 9th box and joy of joys they were on special again today, yay! - not. There was only 2 boxes left on the shelf so bought them and both were these black tags again. We did try a bag just in case they tasted ok but unfortunately again not. We returned them to the supermarket and guess what? We were the 3rd buyer to return them that day. Moreover the supervisor had already sent 2 shipments back for the same reason - rubbish tea with heaps of complaints.1 comment

Excellent
I very rarely drank tea until I found this product. usually I find normal tea to bleah and infusions lack a sharp taste but the blend of tea and lemon is exactly right in this product. I now need to find a local supermarket that sells it in bulk packs as I use to many boxes of 10 a week.
great mix of tea and lemmon
cant find a supermarket that sells it in bigger packs

Lemon yea is my favorite but it is getting so hard to find - and the large packs seem to have gone the way of the dodo!

t to them being labelled as black tea instead of lemon scented - very confusing). They did send me a box of tea - but all infusions, which I had very clearly stated that I did not drink. Sadly, I rarely bother with it any more, although sometimes I try some just to see if they're back to normal - but they're not. Why pay such a high price for such a shoddy product?Similar opinion? Where can I find this delicious tea in NZ supermarkets. It's suddenly disappeared off the shelves! My visitors always comment on it being differently lovely tea. I don't enjoy plain tea.

Well I'm not sure about NZ supermarkets. The same thing happened here in Australia and the only place I can buy it here is from Woolworths supermarkets. I'm with you I have been drinking it for 30 years and don't enjoy other teas anywhere near as much. Good luck
