Earl Grey tasteless and no aroma

published

No aroma and tasteless. I usually buy Twinings but was swayed at the box, larger quantity and what I believed was a good brand. One cup and others in the bin. Waste of money.

Purchased in October 2021 for A$3.99.

Nerada teacup bags in packs of 100: look before you swallow.

published

I Have used Nerada Tea bags almost exclusively since 1989 and would normally recommend them. However, I recently purchased several packets of 100 teacup teabags in the local supermarket, but upon using, noticed a tiny tube of plastic or plasticized paper floating in the hot tea. Upon further inspection, i also noticed a quite loose, tiny flat piece of plasticized material attached to the back of each or most of the tea bags in the packet. I contacted the Nerada company & told them of my discovery and they replied that they had been aware of the problem and had taken remedial action. Meanwhile, I shall be looking more closely at what I am swallowing.

My staple tea for many years

published

Because it's pesticide free and I don't use tea bags, it's the first thing I look forward to in the morning and is Australian grown and not expensive, yay. (I saw where epichlorohydrin is used in tea bags to stop them breaking, it's a plastic) There's a NZ tea that's organic, Zealong, very expensive too expensive for me.

Best tea ever!

published

Thank you for listening to my previous comment! I'm happy to say the tea bags no longer fall apart. I always have some in my handbag so I can have it wherever I go. It really is the best tea

Disappointed with quality of material used

published

I have basically wasted tea bags as they either have torn open from the tag being stuck to the bag or the material is more open and so much dust settles in the bottom of my mug like mud. Only today I had big chunks come out of the bag. Not happy.

bad tea cup bags

I love nerada tea,the taste is fantastic, better still its Australian grown and owned, but i do not know what they have done to their tea bags. Is it new material the bags are made from, if so they are not doing the job, because they let black resinue in the bottom of the cup. This happens a lot lately and it never did before.

Nerada Preium Teabags

published

I love this tea. I used to drink Dilmah (Strong) but found I was unable to get it. All that was available was Extra Strong which I didn't like. I decided to try Nerada Premium Tea which is made in Australia, and I am hooked. It tastes lovely, and has less caffeine in it. I use the Nerada Premium Teabags. I remove the tags and put 2 bags in the teapot, the result of which, is a good cuppa.

Australian grown tea!

published

I am big on buying Australian where and when I can which is why I tried this tea.
I would usually only purchase Twinings however, it was just getting too expensive.
I find Nerada is a strong tea as I prefer and a pleasant taste, may take some getting use to if changing from another long term brand.
Recently I had a cup of Twinings at work and no longer liked the taste as I am now used to Nerada, so give it a chance even if you find Nerada not to your taste initially don't discount it until you have tried it consistently over a couple of days at least.

NB: Rating this actually as very good.
Australian grown and processed tea, available with ease at most supermarkets, good price.

Good

published

This is a nicely priced tea which comes in a variety of sizes. It is commonly found, although I sometimes dont find it at Coles. The taste is pretty strong and I find that if I drink this when its fairly hot, my headache goes away. This is a nice economic tea to have and use on a regular basis.
This is a good strong tea which we buy most often. I think its cheaper than the other teas, and the taste is still good.
I don't have anything to dislike with this tea. Some of the packs come without the string, so you may have to get used to that.

I just recently tried Nerada pot tea. I love it. I only regret I did not discover it years ago
