How can a bottle leak so much
These bottles are terrible. They leak so bad even when the lid is on super tight which is then so hard to get off. My husband rang to complain and they were totally not interested. Look for another brand as these bottles are useless. All you’ll be doing is wiping up spilt milk off the floor.
Leaks and lid get stuck
Three days into using the bottles and the leak a lot and god forbid I put the cap on I need to use blunt force to open it - which is super frustrating when you have a screaming baby and you literally cannot open the bottle without lining the tab against a hard surface and smashing the bottle down it to jimmy the lid off.
Leaking nightmare
I bought the Dr Brown wide neck bottle set as my baby had reflux. Although my baby did burp less but the leaking was really bad. We made sure to not fill the bottle above the max line but when your baby is screaming for milk the last thing you want is to have expressed breastmilk leaking out making your baby cry even more and wasting your breastmilk that was already difficult to express! Do not recommend this product at all.
Bottles leak
It's frustrating that the bottles leak everytime. Changing the brand to something else. I am sick of the bottles leaks. Its spilling so badly that you even need to change the babies clothes. It worked fine in the beginning but now i hate it. I have 4 bottles and all of them does the same.

No more gas pains! So much cleaning!
These bottles are fabulous for stopping wind getting trapped and giving your bub tummy pains. I've been using for 5 months now after being referred to them by a staff member at the baby shop! I have 7 of these bottles, 5 plastic 2 glass. I love having a happy baby but my goodness the extra cleaning and bits and pieces to sort is a pain BUT I way prefer a happy baby :) Like others, I also had a few leaks but probably user error clicking the tube into the top! Have recommended to friends who are also loving them!
Waste of money
Bottles really are a great concept but after 1 week of using daily started to leak. I did everything recommended to stop the leaking but did not help. They are a waste of money in my opinion. Went back to Avent bottles as they do not leak in the slightest.
WASTE OF MONEY!
Expensive but not worth it! I’ve been using these bottles for weeks now, never failed to leak and make bub and I wet and sticky EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. Gave me more work to do as I have to change bubs clothes whenever it leaks on him! Only reason I kept on using this is because its said to reduce baby’s colic and I didn’t want to waste my money for not using it. But now, i’ve just had enough. Lost so much of my breastmilk because of this bottles.
Working well for us
Have been using these bottles for a few weeks now due to a colic/reflux bub. We were using event classic but bubs was in pain for 5+ hrs every day so i gave these a try. Have noticed a huge difference in him- much less fussing and less wind.
Haven't had any issues with leaking as others have mentioned.
Can be a bit fiddly & time consuming to wash all the extra parts, but if it keeps bubs satisfied i'm happy to do it.
Plan to stop using the green filter around 3 mths when colic tends to ease up.
Awesome!
I bought the wide neck bottles in blue with measurements inbuilt when my son was about 6 wks old. He was having a lot of trouble with wind and tummy pain. Within the first day or so we noticed a difference in his wind, it seemed to ease off dramatically. He is now 4 months old and we have still been using them. The only issue I have found is that when I purchased the size 2 teats and combined them with my original bottles they leak very badly. I have read a lot of reviews saying the bottles leak but we had no dramas at all until I tried to use
... Read morethe next size up teat. I am gathering from some reviews that you have to buy the Options bottles in order to use the next size up teat which is very frustrating due to the expense of the bottles in the first place. We are now trying to switch back to Phillips bottles as we need the next size up teat and I am not willing to pay for a whole new set of bottles from Dr Brown's, this is incredibly frustrating as I also purchased the steriliser for these bottles as they don't fit in traditional sterilisers.Find out how Dr Brown's Natural Flow Wide Neck compares to other Baby Bottles

Each to their own I found they work
Mixed reviews no 2 babies are the same and there is more to it than just the wind I have a 9 year gap between my babies my first was a breeze Isabella on the other hand rough pregnancy and delivery she also has reflux, bad wind and gas and is hard to burp making the combo hard on us. We have also changed formulas in conjunction with infants friend now but we started with these bottles after the formula change wasn't enough I bought 1 bottle to try there really not that expensive $12 for a 240 ml bottle I brought the wide neck first I've now bro
... Read moreught the 3 pack 120ml narrow neck options bottles as they allow you to use it as a normal bottle also. These are great you need to push the straw in and anyone vigorously shaking bottles doesn't understand having a wind or colic baby as the more you shake the more air you put into the formula or milk which won't help your baby if your heating the bottle I personally haven't found it a leaking issue and I use it for both breast milk and formula $12 to try it on your baby isn't breaking the bank. Good luck mumsWorst bottles ever
I lost so much expressed milk because of those bottles its so frustrating, they leak if you are trying to warm up the milk and if straw comes off with moving the bottle, with time to get a straw part will not sit on bottles properly and will keep coming off, very frustrated and i don't like them.
Absolute waste of money
I bought these bottles as I'd read great reviews about them helping with wind/colic. No idea if that's actually true because I've only used them three times and I'm ready to throw them away.
If you shake them to mix formula, they leak. If you heat them in a bottle warmer, they leak. If you tilt them to test milk temperature, they leak. They even leaked all over my baby during feeding. After two washes (with the included mini bottle brush) the nipple went from low-flow to no-flow. Exactly what I want to find out with a hungry infant waiting to be fed.
Don't waste your money on these overpriced, cumbersome bottles. I'm going back to my Tommee Tippees.

Life saver
I read so many reviews before going out and buying them. I read that they leaked and was hesitant. Went out and bought 6 and they honestly are life savers. The only time i found that they leaked was when i put in hot water and put it all back together. Amazing bottles
Leak terribly
Bought these bottles with the hope of fixing feeding problems in 4 week old. After trying many formula's we settled on goats milk at $33 a can and then tried dr browns bottles, how disappointing! Bub wears most of this liquid gold on his bib due to excessive leaking by the bottles, regardless of how tight or lose the the cap is screwed on. Total waste of money.
Very disappointing
We bought 2 of the Dr Browns Options wide neck bottles and honestly it was the biggest waste of money. The biggest complaint is it just leaks everywhere! No matter how much I tighten all the parts it still leaks everywhere. It's just terrible you end up with more milk on bubs clothes/bibs or your hands then what gets consumed.
Don't buy the options bottles!
Life changing
My son has suffered with sever reflux since birth and he's now 4 months and I've only just tried Dr browns bottles and NO spewing! I am incredibly happy as now he can put on weight (he's still in 0000 clothing and 4 months) I only have 1 bottle but will be getting more now I know they're amazing
Used once! ANAZING!!
I love them that much I just sent my husband back into town to buy 3 more! Our 4 week old drank perfectly with no fussing and crying like usual and no collapsing teat. After a feed he didn't even seem to have wind and fell asleep as opposed to crying in pain and being irritated with our other bottles. I mentioned to the sales assistant people saying they leak and she said it's because they tighten them too much. You only tighten until it grabs and we didn't have an issue. Not one bit of leaking. Love them!!
Huge improvement to baby's wind and reflux issues
I would not have a baby and be without these bottles ever again. My baby used to take a long time feeding from Medela, Avent, Tommee Tippee and even a cheapy Dymples brand because she wasn't comfortable. This has changed dramatically with Dr Brown's bottles and her reflux and wind symptoms have improved greatly.
Some people say these bottles leak and I found that they only do that when the teat and collar is wet from a previous washing. If you dry these parts properly first with some paper towel there are no leaks whatsoever.
Easy to flow but it leaks!!!
The wide neck bottle leaks, i bought a pack of three and they all have the same problem. The milk runs through the edge of the cap when feeding, and my figure gets burnt when I rinse the bottle with hot water. It is very annoying! Can't feed baby like this as the milk would go everywhere on his face neck and clothes. How could this product be on market!!??
Reduces colic but BOTTLE LEAKS EVERYWHERE
Great bottle to reduce wind, switched over from Tommee Tippee and noticed the difference almost straight away. However the bottles leak at every single feed no matter how you put them together or how tight you screw the cap on. The leaking from the bottle drives me insane, it drips on my baby and formula gets everywhere. I have contacted dr browns about this asking as to wether it is normal for them to leak that much however got no response.
The first generation of this is much better than the new series
We have been using Dr. Browns wide neck bottles for 9 months. We started with Avent then migrated to Dr. Browns old series to reduce colic symptoms. It was effective.
We bought the new series (green flapper/tube 270ml) because it was advertised to be possible to use with no flapper&tube thus making clean up much easier. Our baby is much less prone to swallowing air so we wanted to completely switch over to no disk&tube bottles in a few months.
pros:
-the volume labels are much easier to read
-the green color is more unisex instead of the blue or pink
cons:
-more expensive
-it does not perform as advertised - if you do not use the green disk and tube it WILL leak all over your baby
Best Bottles
My first baby suffered with silent reflux so when I found out I was having another bub I began looking for ways to relieve the symptoms of reflux. Since I found these bottles I have had next to no problems with reflux in my second baby and he is now 6 months old. I can't fault them. Buy the travel lids is my advice they are great for shaking the bottle while mixing formula and won't leak when going out ( I still store my bottles upright in my baby bag) I found the lids that come with the bottles leak also the bottles will leak if you do not put the teat in right or you do not screw the top on tight enough, on the other hand if It is too tight bub wont get any milk so you need the right amount of tightness, practice makes perfect!
Saved my sanity!
These bottles are expensive but worth every cent. I purchased them from babybottles.com.au and they have huge discounts if you get the ones that have damaged packaging.
We tried everything for our 4 week old baby and these bottles have done the trick, she suffers from really bad wind and it didn't matter what formula she had it was BAD. Now we use S26 with Infacol and infants friend as well as these bottles and we have seen a lot of improvement.
I highly recommend these bottles.
I haven't had any of the leaking issues other people have mentioned.
Dr Browns Leaky Bottles
The bottles are nice the only problem I have is that it leaks A LOT! There are times my daughters clothes are wet that is how much these bottles leaks it drives me insane and its extremely frustrating. What is even more frustrating the fact that the the SA distributor does not even respond in a proper manner to my inquiry I sent to them.
Great help with tummy issues
i love these bottles..!! I was sceptical at first but once i saw the improvement in my baby's tummy issues after trying them i decided to replace the rest of her bottles (we were using Pegion & Avent Natural).
My baby has a bit of reflux too. When we use dr brown bottles, she burps easily, less hiccups, less thrashing around, less spillage & no wet burps.
They are good for the middle of night feeding. I dont have to worry about burping her as there is less air in the bottle. She doesnt wake up from gas / discomfort. She was doing this previously.
We got them on special so the price was reasonable to other brands out there. I definitely recommend them.
The best bottles!!!!
I love these bottles. Our little lady struggles with gas and tummy issues, but these have been a life saver she burps straight away, no issues at all!
Thank goodness for finding them!
Highly recommended!!
She loves the tears. We tried a few different bottles and she wouldn't take to them!
They changed my life!
These are the best bottles for windy babies. I tried everything with my 8 month old, all the medications, all the burping tricks, but these were the only thing that helped him sleep. We noticed an immediate difference with them, our son slept 8 hours the first night and 10.5 the second. Previously he would wake 2-6 times a night since birth because of wind pain.
I can't recommend them highly enough!
Best bottles on the market for fussy baby
These bottles are fabulous for windy, cholicy or reflux babies and really do work. I was skeptical at first, unsure how the funnel set up inside could work but it does. Unfortunately they can be hard to buy and are only sold online and in selected chemists. The downsides are they are expensive (although the fact they work makes the price ok) and they tend to leak when heating the bottle if you have them screwed up too tight. They also don't fit in the usual microwave steamer for wide necks as they are quite tall. But the expense and leaking don't off set how well they work. Any parent of a cholicy baby would agree that $15 a bottle is worth every cent for a happier baby.
Great for colic
Great for colic but just another bottle to clean my baby love it very much. Reduce her colic also gas
Life-saver after bub refused other brand teats
Moved from breastfeeding to bottle when my daughter was 9 months old and returning to work. This is the only bottle that she would accept after a few anxious weeks! I had to trial and error the teats though, as I found them a little slower and used AR formula (which tends to be a little thicker and she suffered from reflux). Bottles were a lifesaver and wished that I had bought these from the start! Used wide-necked plastic bottles. Bottles rings needs to be tightly secured as they can leak otherwise, but this is a small price to pay. Woul

After reading rave reviews about Dr Browns bottles we have them a try - just wanted to leave a review that they don't work for everyone.
Our baby was very gassy, struggled to feed and was highly uncomfortable with wind issues when being fed using these bottles. We used the wide neck variety.
Baby experienced bad gas and struggled to feed. Expensive.
Good for wind, biut bottles leak
Awesome bottle for wind and a guzzler baby and the teat is soft. After a month or so from the plastic lid the bottles leaked even if it was on super tight. We have no idea why. But still a good product. And still helps bring up wind a lot quicker and easier
best yet !
my LO has seemed to suffer from wind and he has reflux. i was always blaming the formulas thinking thats what was causing all this trapped wind and sore tummy ( im sure it played a part in ) i finally figured id try different bottles after trying nearly them all i came across these and they are so far the best for my son and his lil tummy he sleeps so much more soundly then before.they fit in my avent bottle warmer and steralizer to and when out i shake the bottle and not ONE bubble is left in bottle once he starts to drink its like they disappear.
a lil bit of a hassel to clean n dont warm in warmer with blue part as it will leak out
Awesome
I just love these bottles I don't mind paying extra for a great product :D they really do help with wind.. Happy baby is a happy mummy- bought from my baby warehouse- pricing was good too
I would defiantly recommend this brand to anyone wanting the best for their baby!
My baby loves the teat!
After my usual Avent bottles were nowhere to be found in my local chemist, I went on a bit of a spree and bought a 3 pack of the Dr Browns Wide Neck Bottle on a whim, and they are excellent!
My baby has a very fussy nature and if he doesn't like the teat he won't drink until I get him his preferred teat... I was a bit concerned about this being new, and just forking out $65 for the bottles and level 2 teats they work a dream.
At first they leaked because I never read the instructions, you can only heat the bottle, not the blue internal tu

I use the Avent and the bottles fit in perfectly which was great. My baby doesn't have any wind or colic anyway so I never bought these for that purpose, yet he loves the teats - I just hate how it's almost impossible to see where you are filling up to, as the numbers are clear just like the bottle... impossible ! My baby loves the teat, pretty fancy looking bottle The measurements on the side are virtually impossible to seeGreat product!
Perhaps a combination of formula and feeding, our baby seemed very windy. Not wanting to rely on medicines to help too much (gripe water, infacol etc) and already trying everything i could as a last resort I bought a new born starter pack online (Amazon) and switched from Avent.. Same formula we noticed a difference so it really worked for baby. Wish we knew about this earlier as could have saved us money and time! We stir the formula with a spoon and swirl it as per the instructions but don't forget to put the tube etc in or it goes everywhere! (Hubby and I were both caught out each in our tired state and didnt construct it properly - what a mess!) Ergonomic design for holding, reduces wind in babies drinking. Don't forget to add the travel cap if your going out - slightly annoying as needs to be stored separatelyWorked for me
I started using these when baby was 3.5 months old, plus switched to a non AR formula so I'm not sure whether its just the bottles or a combo of all 3 factors. However baby with nightmare silent reflux/colic is now a happy baby. Any parent who has been through the mill with colic will know that I don't use the words "happy baby" lightly.
Good quality, seemed to cure wind problem
Hard to find in shops, more expensive than other brands (worth it tho)
Best bottle
I've tried many bottle with my son then finally I found this bottle. I am a breastfeeding mum and my son rejected all the bottle at the beginning. I couldn't leave him with my hubby and mother at all as I am the only person can feed him.
Thanks DR Brown's, such a life saver! I guess this bottle is very similar to breast and my baby love it! Now he has less wind and has a happy tummy.
Many people complain this bottle is leaking. If you want to keep the hot water in the bottle to cool while travelling, you better the use the little cover come with the package.
No many place sell it.
Does Help
I've tried many bottles with my first child and now my second who is 10 weeks old. I wanted to try the Dr.Brown's wide neck to see if they would help with my babies wind and reflux. We have been using them for a couple of weeks now and they seem to be helping with his wind and it seems easier for him to drink his milk. I don't hear his stomach gurgle as much. Most times he is able to bring up his wind after his feed quite easily. He still gets wind of course and some reflux but that is to be expected. I also have him on Goats formula which help

I started using these bottles with my 3rd baby as I only found out about them while I was pregnant.
