Reduces colic but BOTTLE LEAKS EVERYWHERE
Great bottle to reduce wind, switched over from Tommee Tippee and noticed the difference almost straight away. However the bottles leak at every single feed no matter how you put them together or how tight you screw the cap on. The leaking from the bottle drives me insane, it drips on my baby and formula gets everywhere. I have contacted dr browns about this asking as to wether it is normal for them to leak that much however got no response.

The first generation of this is much better than the new series
We have been using Dr. Browns wide neck bottles for 9 months. We started with Avent then migrated to Dr. Browns old series to reduce colic symptoms. It was effective.
We bought the new series (green flapper/tube 270ml) because it was advertised to be possible to use with no flapper&tube thus making clean up much easier. Our baby is much less prone to swallowing air so we wanted to completely switch over to no disk&tube bottles in a few months.
pros:
-the volume labels are much easier to read
-the green color is more unisex instead of the blue or pink
cons:
-more expensive
-it does not perform as advertised - if you do not use the green disk and tube it WILL leak all over your baby

Best Bottles
My first baby suffered with silent reflux so when I found out I was having another bub I began looking for ways to relieve the symptoms of reflux. Since I found these bottles I have had next to no problems with reflux in my second baby and he is now 6 months old. I can't fault them. Buy the travel lids is my advice they are great for shaking the bottle while mixing formula and won't leak when going out ( I still store my bottles upright in my baby bag) I found the lids that come with the bottles leak also the bottles will leak if you do not put the teat in right or you do not screw the top on tight enough, on the other hand if It is too tight bub wont get any milk so you need the right amount of tightness, practice makes perfect!

Saved my sanity!
These bottles are expensive but worth every cent. I purchased them from babybottles.com.au and they have huge discounts if you get the ones that have damaged packaging.
We tried everything for our 4 week old baby and these bottles have done the trick, she suffers from really bad wind and it didn't matter what formula she had it was BAD. Now we use S26 with Infacol and infants friend as well as these bottles and we have seen a lot of improvement.
I highly recommend these bottles.
I haven't had any of the leaking issues other people have mentioned.

Dr Browns Leaky Bottles
The bottles are nice the only problem I have is that it leaks A LOT! There are times my daughters clothes are wet that is how much these bottles leaks it drives me insane and its extremely frustrating. What is even more frustrating the fact that the the SA distributor does not even respond in a proper manner to my inquiry I sent to them.

Great help with tummy issues
i love these bottles..!! I was sceptical at first but once i saw the improvement in my baby's tummy issues after trying them i decided to replace the rest of her bottles (we were using Pegion & Avent Natural).
My baby has a bit of reflux too. When we use dr brown bottles, she burps easily, less hiccups, less thrashing around, less spillage & no wet burps.
They are good for the middle of night feeding. I dont have to worry about burping her as there is less air in the bottle. She doesnt wake up from gas / discomfort. She was doing this previously.
We got them on special so the price was reasonable to other brands out there. I definitely recommend them.

The best bottles!!!!
I love these bottles. Our little lady struggles with gas and tummy issues, but these have been a life saver she burps straight away, no issues at all!
Thank goodness for finding them!
Highly recommended!!
She loves the tears. We tried a few different bottles and she wouldn't take to them!

They changed my life!
These are the best bottles for windy babies. I tried everything with my 8 month old, all the medications, all the burping tricks, but these were the only thing that helped him sleep. We noticed an immediate difference with them, our son slept 8 hours the first night and 10.5 the second. Previously he would wake 2-6 times a night since birth because of wind pain.
I can't recommend them highly enough!

Best bottles on the market for fussy baby
These bottles are fabulous for windy, cholicy or reflux babies and really do work. I was skeptical at first, unsure how the funnel set up inside could work but it does. Unfortunately they can be hard to buy and are only sold online and in selected chemists. The downsides are they are expensive (although the fact they work makes the price ok) and they tend to leak when heating the bottle if you have them screwed up too tight. They also don't fit in the usual microwave steamer for wide necks as they are quite tall. But the expense and leaking don't off set how well they work. Any parent of a cholicy baby would agree that $15 a bottle is worth every cent for a happier baby.

Life-saver after bub refused other brand teats
Moved from breastfeeding to bottle when my daughter was 9 months old and returning to work. This is the only bottle that she would accept after a few anxious weeks! I had to trial and error the teats though, as I found them a little slower and used AR formula (which tends to be a little thicker and she suffered from reflux). Bottles were a lifesaver and wished that I had bought these from the start! Used wide-necked plastic bottles. Bottles rings needs to be tightly secured as they can leak otherwise, but this is a small price to pay. Woul...Read more
d not have been able to return to work on time if I didn't use these. Bottle/teat was accepted after bottle refusal of other brands, great for sufferers of wind/reflux Multiparts are more difficult to clean, expensive and harder to find stockists offlineSimilar opinion? Disappointing
After reading rave reviews about Dr Browns bottles we have them a try - just wanted to leave a review that they don't work for everyone.
Our baby was very gassy, struggled to feed and was highly uncomfortable with wind issues when being fed using these bottles. We used the wide neck variety.
Baby experienced bad gas and struggled to feed. Expensive.

Good for wind, biut bottles leak
Awesome bottle for wind and a guzzler baby and the teat is soft. After a month or so from the plastic lid the bottles leaked even if it was on super tight. We have no idea why. But still a good product. And still helps bring up wind a lot quicker and easier

best yet !
my LO has seemed to suffer from wind and he has reflux. i was always blaming the formulas thinking thats what was causing all this trapped wind and sore tummy ( im sure it played a part in ) i finally figured id try different bottles after trying nearly them all i came across these and they are so far the best for my son and his lil tummy he sleeps so much more soundly then before.they fit in my avent bottle warmer and steralizer to and when out i shake the bottle and not ONE bubble is left in bottle once he starts to drink its like they disappear.
a lil bit of a hassel to clean n dont warm in warmer with blue part as it will leak out

My baby loves the teat!
After my usual Avent bottles were nowhere to be found in my local chemist, I went on a bit of a spree and bought a 3 pack of the Dr Browns Wide Neck Bottle on a whim, and they are excellent!
My baby has a very fussy nature and if he doesn't like the teat he won't drink until I get him his preferred teat... I was a bit concerned about this being new, and just forking out $65 for the bottles and level 2 teats they work a dream.
At first they leaked because I never read the instructions, you can only heat the bottle, not the blue internal tu...Read more
be and seal and teat as otherwise gas explodes inside and milk will go everywhere. There are more parts in these bottles yet when you have a microwave steriliser it's easy. I use the Avent and the bottles fit in perfectly which was great. My baby doesn't have any wind or colic anyway so I never bought these for that purpose, yet he loves the teats - I just hate how it's almost impossible to see where you are filling up to, as the numbers are clear just like the bottle... impossible ! My baby loves the teat, pretty fancy looking bottle The measurements on the side are virtually impossible to seeSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great product!
Perhaps a combination of formula and feeding, our baby seemed very windy. Not wanting to rely on medicines to help too much (gripe water, infacol etc) and already trying everything i could as a last resort I bought a new born starter pack online (Amazon) and switched from Avent.. Same formula we noticed a difference so it really worked for baby. Wish we knew about this earlier as could have saved us money and time! Found the stage 1 flow too slow at about 6 wks as baby falling asleep while sucking (despite instructions saying 3mths+?), hubby f...Read more
ound our local chemist stocks this brand and bought stage 2 teats and another big sized bottle and we were back in business! ($15 for 1 bottle in Aus and $27 for new born feeding pack on Amazon). Does take and extra minute to wash parts but you get used to it considering the benefit. We stir the formula with a spoon and swirl it as per the instructions but don't forget to put the tube etc in or it goes everywhere! (Hubby and I were both caught out each in our tired state and didnt construct it properly - what a mess!) Ergonomic design for holding, reduces wind in babies drinking. Don't forget to add the travel cap if your going out - slightly annoying as needs to be stored separatelySimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Worked for me
I started using these when baby was 3.5 months old, plus switched to a non AR formula so I'm not sure whether its just the bottles or a combo of all 3 factors. However baby with nightmare silent reflux/colic is now a happy baby. Any parent who has been through the mill with colic will know that I don't use the words "happy baby" lightly.
Good quality, seemed to cure wind problem
Hard to find in shops, more expensive than other brands (worth it tho)

Best bottle
I've tried many bottle with my son then finally I found this bottle. I am a breastfeeding mum and my son rejected all the bottle at the beginning. I couldn't leave him with my hubby and mother at all as I am the only person can feed him.
Thanks DR Brown's, such a life saver! I guess this bottle is very similar to breast and my baby love it! Now he has less wind and has a happy tummy.
Many people complain this bottle is leaking. If you want to keep the hot water in the bottle to cool while travelling, you better the use the little cover come with the package.
No many place sell it.

Does Help
I've tried many bottles with my first child and now my second who is 10 weeks old. I wanted to try the Dr.Brown's wide neck to see if they would help with my babies wind and reflux. We have been using them for a couple of weeks now and they seem to be helping with his wind and it seems easier for him to drink his milk. I don't hear his stomach gurgle as much. Most times he is able to bring up his wind after his feed quite easily. He still gets wind of course and some reflux but that is to be expected. I also have him on Goats formula which help...Read more
s lessen the build up of wind in his tummy. Overall I would say if you're considering buying the bottles it's worth giving it a go, even buying maybe a couple and trying before you buy more. We got the pack with 3x 240ml and 2x120ml with one and two stage teets and bottle brushes for about $70. Improved my babies wind issues and allowed him to drink milk easier Expensive Option. Takes longer to clean bottles with all the bits and pieces. have to stir formula with spoon rather than shake the bottle.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

I buy them from babybottles.com.au and if you get the "Damaged" ones they have damaged boxes and are 100% fine inside and much cheaper. The delivery is fast also. I have purchased them a few times from this same website.

My son is 3 days old, in the hospital wer were using a different kind of bottle & he was feeding perfectly & I noticed no gas problems. Yesterday we got home & I started using the wide neck Dr B's range that I had bought, he is now struggling with wind his tummy is making wind noises as he feeds. What am I doing differently from everyone else? Coz everyone seems to be getting the opposite results. Now he refuses to feed he pushes the bottle with his tongue because he struggles with this bottle.

Just forget about the Dr Browns and go back to whatever you were using when he fed perfectly. As you said yourself - he fed perfectly and you noticed no gas problems. Can't fix what isn't broken!
