Reduces colic and wind
My baby would cry for hours on end when a newborn, initially to a low milk supply and then due to pain in his tummy from wind. A friend of mine recommended the Dr Brown's bottles after experiencing the same thing with her baby. I must say, they must work in reducing the amount of air being consumed when bottle feeding as it settled my baby right down. Finally some relief for my son, as well as for us as parents.
I have used these bottles since my son was 6 weeks old and am still using them now that he is 6 months. Very happy with them, exce...
Read morept the only problem that I now find is after using them for a few months, they sometimes leak which is frustrating. They occasionally leak as I'm making and shaking up the bottle at the start, but often leak if you leave the finished bottle on the coffee table after a feed to tend to your baby for 30 mins or so for eg. When you come back to collect it, when you pick it up it can start leaking from when you pick it up and all the way to the kitchen. In saying this, I still think these bottles are great, and well worth using and the advantages far out way this little issue. I now place the finished bottle in the kitchen immediately or in a tied plastic bag if I'm out to avoid any spills or wetting any clothes in my nappy bag. Reduces colic and wind pain They start to leak after a few months of use. Takes a little longer to wash all the parts, however well worth using these bottles- 3 reviews

Great bottle for Gassy babies
One of my twins was quiet gassy, until I started using these bottles.
Although the bottles are a little more expensive, a little more difficult to buy, and a little more fiddly (because of the extra vent parts), I have found that they have paid off in the feeding of both of my children.
reliable, they work
fiddly, more expensive than other common brands

Love this product
I bought these bottles while I was pregnant after doing a lot of research and I must say, all the research has paid off! These bottles have a special vent system that sucks the air out of the teat resulting in the baby swallowing very little to no air while feeding. At the beginning I tought these bottles were not working very well because my baby had quite a bit of wind, but it turned out to be the formula. Now I have a new formula and the baby is happy on these bottles. She liked them straight away. At first cleaning all the parts can be a bi...
Read moret time consuming, but after a few times you get faster and find the way it's best for you. The bottles attach to the Dr Browns breast pump and have screw on lids for milk storage (to purchase separately). These bottles are not very easy to find, so I buy them online from australian websites. They are BPA free. Great for colicky babies, BPA Free Many parts to clean, not so easy to find

Our baby had colic which caused her a lot of pain and discomfort, but also caused us sleepless nights. The next day we bought a different brand anti-colic bottle which were good, but after research we thought we would buy the Dr Brown bottles.
After starting with the Dr Brown bottles we saw an immediate improvement in our baby after feeds. We no longer even use colic drops as the design has greatly reduced the amount of air she swallows.
The extra parts to wash only take a minute extra and is well worth the extra effort as we have a m...
Read moreuch happier baby and much happier parents. The wide neck makes the bottles much easier to add formula to, and when using a thickener we use a faster flow teat to allow the milk to still pass through. Reduced colic in our baby. Easy to get teats. Very clever and effective design.Find out how Dr Brown's Natural Flow Wide Neck compares to other Baby Bottles

My son has tried assorted Medela, Avent and Tommy Tippee bottles and it wasn't until we tried the Dr Browns that he was happier feeding. There was also a very noticeably difference when getting him to burp afterwards, it was only on these bottles that he would easily give out one solid burp.
We were very happy that the teat didn't collapse unlike the other bottles.
I was also breastfeeding most of the time and our bub did not have any issue going between breast and bottle.
I highly recommend these bottles to anyone and would not consider any...

Superb design, just wonderful for what the bottles do for colicky and refluxy babies. We will be re-using these bottles for our next baby without a doubt as I refuse to use any other bottles by any other manufacturer after having such success with them.
The silicone teats are the best we've used (we tried three other main brands, a lot of wasted money on bottles and teats) and still look new after nine months of daily use. We have recommended these bottles to other parents of reflux and colicky babies and everyone has had success with th...
Read moreem. We absolutely love these bottles and purchased them on recommendation after our baby son developed colic at 3 weeks and terrible reflux. We had been using another brand of bottle from birth and we noticed immediately how much less air he sucked in with his milk when using these for the first time at four weeks of age. Obviously well designed to help babies with reflux and colic. We have the BPA free version of these bottles so we know our baby isn't having any toxic chemicals leeching into his milk. The teats are FANTASTIC, the flow rate is just perfect for each stage. We have gone through all four flow rates and found they were just right for our son. He is now on stage 4 at ten months, the fastest flow rate and he chugs down his bottle with gusto and no spluttering at all. A little bit of a pain to wash the extra bits, but worth the effort in the long run. A bit difficult also to source the bottles and teats, we did this online from Australian and overseas sellers.- 4 reviews

I LOVE these bottles. Heard about them from a Canadian woman when I was pregnant with my first born, unfortunately they were not available in Aust so had to import them, now they are in ToysRus. Found he had little burps after feeding nothing like the wind that came out of him using the Avent bottles. Didnt like the style of teats that go with these bottles as it teaches bub to nipple suck so changed to the Tommy Tippee vari flow which were more like a nipple. Used these bottles with all 3 of my children & have never had problems with colic. ...
Read moreHighly recomended. Reduces air intake for bub. More fiddly bits to wash. Didnt like the style of teat. As I was supplement feeding I found the teats taught my bub to nipple suck rather than latch properly. I have found this with all 3 children.Related Articles

Thanks to Dr Browns. The best product on the market even for babies without colic or reflux. Truly amazing product.
Great for my daughter who was very windy and had reflux. Noticed a difference after the first feed. She breaks winds real easy now. Never looked back, my baby is so much happier and really thriving.
Lots of bits to clean and a bit more expensive, but so worthit because it works.

Great bottle that seems to do the trick. My baby takes in less air meaning he has less pain. Even though the bottles take a little bit more to clean due to the bits and pieces, it is no extra hassle as long as it does its job! The teats are softer than other branded teats and the bottle shape makes it easy to hold. I wish I had known about these bottles from the start, would have saved me wasting my money on other bottles that claim to reduce colic but don't. These are the only bottles where I saw an improvement in my bub. They were no more exp...
Read moreensive than other branded bottles when purchased from the internet. They seem to actually do the job of reducing wind intake, unlike other bottles I had tried. Leaks a little when carried for travelling. You must make sure you keep the bottles upright when travelling at all times to prevent this. Would have given it 5 stars if there was no leaking.Find out how Dr Brown's Natural Flow Wide Neck compares to other Baby Bottles

Fabulous for colic babies!
Our second baby suffered from terrible colic & now reflux, so much so that I often sat up on a chair but him to sleep at night. My husband was recommended Dr Brown's by a work colleague & after doing some research I decided to buy a couple to try, & then went & bought some more.
I definitely did notice some improvement when using these bottles, though they are not a magic cure.
I did read other reviews stating there were issues with them leaking & when using at first I did think to myself that the other reviewers must not have been using t...
Read morehe bottles correctly however, after using for an extended time, I have noticed that if you add water that is too warm (e.g. if intending to take on an outing & use after cooling) they will leak regardless of whether the travel cap is placed inside - the hotter the water the worse it is, occasionally resulting in a big mess to clean up over the bench at 1am. They also sometimes leak now when shaking/swirling up the formula for no apparent reason (with cool water), presumably now it has something to do with prolonged use as bub is now 5 months old. PLEASE NOTE that although they may leak when mixing up formula, I have never had them leak when actually feeding. (I know this sounds bad but, believe me, the benefits of these bottles far outweigh the minor leakage issue). Other reviewers have complained about how fiddly these bottles are with the internal valve, particularly with cleaning. I never had a problem with this aspect; admittedly it does take a little longer to wash them, but it is worth - aferall, sleep for Mum & the rest of the house may result! I was handwashing them for a time (in the early paranoid days) but now I place them in the top rack of the dishwasher - so much easier. All in all, despite the odd niggly leak, I definitely recommend Dr Browns for colic babies. I had already used Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature & Avent Anti-Colic bottles &, whilst these were fine for bub #1 who did not have colic, #2 really would not drink much from these at feed times. Definitely helps with colic. Leak after a while. MUST stand upright when travelling even with cap inside.- 4 reviews
Good bottle but a little over rated in my opinion
My baby was suffering with colic and then reflux, so I was desperate to try these bottles. I used them for a couple of months and although a pain to wash, my baby drank from these straight away with no problems and helped a little with his colic. When he was changed to thickened formula I just couldn't get this bottle to work with it no matter which teat I tried, so after only a couple of months use they have had to be put into storage. Rather expensive and I think there are cheaper but comparible options.
Definately helped with colic, but woul...

The bottle is quite nice but I really think they are a ripoff for the price. I wish I bought a cheaper brand now as there are much cheaper ones that are anti-colic.
They look good and have a nice design and feel
Overpriced! Not worth the money as I discovered there are plenty of other anti-colic bottles out there that are as good.

I really like these bottles and have been using them for a while with no complaint. I like the fact that they are a bit bigger to handle as they are easy to get a good grip on and are comfortable. They can be a bit pricey.
I like these bottles. They are easy to use and the wide bottle is easy to handle.
These bottles are more expensive than other bottles on the market but I think they are worth it as they are a good size and seem to do what they say they do. The teats can be a bit tricky to clean.

absolutely love these bottles I started using them when first bub was a few weeks old as she had colic wish I had used them from birth in hindsight, she was so much more comfortable with her feeds once I used them. The extra bits were a bit tricky to clean and sterilise but sooooo worth it just to see her happy and settled after every feed instead of being so uncomfortable.
work wonders to eliminate babies swallowing air while drinking really helps with reflux and colic
extra bits to wash and sterilise but worth it when it works well

Would recommend these bottles to anyone to has a baby who is a fussy feeder. I tried numerous bottles and teats and have now happily settled on these bottles. Baby is much happier and feeds more quickly.
Definitely helps reduce wind problems. Nice bottle design.
Bottle leaks. All the spare parts are extra work to wash and prepare.

I really like the Dr Brown's range of feeding bottles and these bottles are a really good design as they are a nice size and easy to hold. Definitely like the wide neck and baby tends to have no problem using them. I am not 100 per cent sure that the bottles do help with issues such as colic but they do seem to be a better make of bottle so can't be doing any harm. And you can get them in the BPA free version, so that is fantastic.
Great design, easy to hold.
Bit more expensive, hard to clean all the bits.

A great bottle for windy babies. Bubs took to it with no problems and the results were noticeable after one feed. Hard to find sometimes and there is an extra part to clean but thats nothing when you dont have to ensure more crying than normal!
Reduced wind/colic in our bubs
Can be hard to source (only from selected chemists and specialist stores)

we have had these bottles since she was born and started using it once a night whilst breast feeding. she really enjoyed it as it has a pretty fast f;ow and she loves it. it really reduces colic and difficulty in the sucking. we are noe full time on the bottle and she has had no trouble what so ever in the change. feeding times are cut right down too which pleases mum dad and baby! i get asked alot of questions about the bottle when other mums ask n a few have bought them and never gone back :)
easy to look after and my bubba really enjoys these bottles!
a little leakage from the top when heated

My baby girl had no problems with this bottle and neither did i, beside the fact that the flow was a bit quick, At first i wasnt to sure about this bottle because not many mums had heard of it, but after accidently melting the valve whilst boiling, then having to settle for the tommee tippee for a few days which made her vomit for the first time, i realised its an excellent bottle.Would recommend for sure.
Never made her bring up any milk after a feed, she found it easy to use and didnt interfere with her breastfeeding. Teat never got sucked inwards like other brands.
Found it a bit fast flow for a newborn.

My fourth baby suffered shocking reflux/wind pain. I can not recommend these bottles enough, they are FANTASTIC. They reduce the amount of air the baby takes in when sucking. I recently tried my 5 month old back on AVENT bottles and she was in constant pain and very unsettled, so within a day of putting her back on Dr Brown's bottles she is a happy content baby again. There are only 2 little extra pieces to wash which is no big deal when you have a pain free happy baby!!! Highly recommended.
Really works, fantastic design, easy to use & easy to clean.
Leaks sometimes when heated.

In conclusion, Dr Brown's is my hero. Worth every dollar I paid. It is easy to clean, easy to use and most of all easy to feed. I love this product and will recommend to every mother with the same problems. Infinity % happy, if there was such a number.
I love everything about this bottle system, the unique vent system is the most incredible invention I have ever seen.
