Brushes on streaky
Brushes on streaky and have tried 2 tons over the past 10 months and both just as bad. What is going on with this product it’s really bad. I recently used a different brand gloss helping my parents paint their house and worked a dream. But this Dulux product dries to fast and leaves streaks and has made brand new skirting look like crap.
Purchased in January 2021 at Bunnings Warehouse for A$60.00.

Disappointing!
Purchased this product in gloss for trims as I’ve always had great results with dulux. Thought it was just me until looking to troubleshoot...wish I read reviews before spending a lot of $ on this product.
Too thick, dries too quickly even at 20C, leaves streaks, brush marks & uneven! I has ruined the work I put in doing a great paint job on the ceilings & walls albiet with dulux anti-mound bathroom & kitchen paints which were great & ceiling white (except the smell). But wash & wear barrier 101 in gloss is beyond disappointing!

Very streaky after two coats and scratches right off
I've used Dulux for decades but in the last two years I've had VERY bad results with both semi gloss aqua enamel and wash and wear gloss.
The aqua enamel never formed a hard surface even after a year or two. It was applied at an ideal temperature after washing with sugar soap and undercoating in white. The top coat was also white. Two coats should have been enough but it took 5 to remove all the streaks.
Now I've started painting the trim in a bedroom white, covering beige with wash and wear gloss. Washed and sanded first. The first coat ...Read more
was the streakiest mess I've ever seen. In disgust I left it for 3 weeks but started on the second coat today. Wasted hours trying not to leave streaks but it still looks like the worst paint job I've ever seen. What I'd done 3 weeks ago scratches off at the slightest touch, at the door hinges and when removing masking tape. Even the paint on the rim of the tin and on the brush wiped right off. I don't understand how such poor products can be marketed. I've lost all confidence in Dulux.4 comments

I did call and spoke with Cathy. I've since applied a third coat on part of the woodwork and still can see through the paint to the previous colour. A tester patch I sanded off my first attempt. Two ... Read more
coats came straight off. Under coated, then painted. Result no better. Covering off white with bright white. I'm returning the paint to Bunnings and won't try Dulux again for surfaces that require a durable finish. Claiming this product dries to a durable surface is a false claim.garthDulux
Morning Lindy. Depending on the surface preparation will determine how the product will bind to the surface. We always recommend, as included on our packs, to start with a wash down with sugar soap an... Read more
d rinse with cleanwater to remove any dirt, oil or grease. Next, scrape and sand down any loose, peeling and flaking paint. Fill any cracks or holes with a suitable filler. It is very important to sand a gloss or semi gloss surface down to a dull finish to ensure the surface is ready for top coating. If you are still having concern with your project we want to help. does not cover needs multiple coats making the painting take longer than neccesary and using more paint - well done dulux profits should be good but no customers next time round!! Remind me how much is your brand worth?
losing me means nothing- denial and lies means everything - what have you done here - not what you claim- too many reviews saying the same thing with total denial from you - come out with it - who is lying

Worst paint. Don't use at all.
I have been painting for over 25 years. I always use good tools and have good preparation. 3 coats and still couldn't get good coverage. New formula, maybe ? The old version was ordinary this is [censored word removed], I have used better cheaper versions than this [censored word removed]. Even the lid was cheap opened once and closed then had drama's opening the second time.

Hi Maree
Thank you for reaching out! We suggest you apply with a good quality short nap 5mm or 6mm synthetic roller. It is also important not to overwork the roller to ensure a nice even finish is achieved. Please contact our Help & Advice Team for further assistance. Our operating hours are from Monday to Friday 7:30am to 7:00pm and Saturday 8:30am to 3:00pm AEST. The Dulux Team

I am not a paint expert - just an idiot who is trying to paint my house - I probably know less than you about paint - would love to help and so far I have painted my lounge 4 times to get the right result.
