Read more Never ever use a product call wash & wear plus super hide it will damage all your house leave with marks on all brush & roller used places, stay away from this product and save your self headache & fainancail losses. Also be noted that with dulux paint (all types ) you cannot do touch up paint after finishing painting ( incase of you have damage or dirty walls after full paint is finished) because it will always leave spot marks, and you should paint the full wall where it requires touch up. This will need an experienced painter again which might incurr you extra charges. Hope this had answered your questionHi Skippa, it is perfectly fine to use in your bedroom. I have recently painted my bathroom with dulux bathroom paint. I have now got water splash marks on the wall that will not dry out and looks like it is stained with the marks, any reason why this should happen?
Because Dulux has changed the formula i.e. now raw materials sourced in China and made into a formula that each country batch manufactures with either water or solvent and it is CRAP. We used Taubmans Endure in the end which is far superior.
Hi Kaz, thanks for choosing to use Dulux Wash&Wear. A way to remove these kind of marks from your wall would be to use a damp cloth and wipe down the larger area. If you are still not satisfied, pleas...

Read morerse as you add moisture which draws it out more. I put up with this for 8 years, wiping down. Dulux blamed our application and prep.Tried Wash and Wear on one wall again in August, cause they said there was a new formula.Same problem. Now am painting with Taubmans Endure. Way better but not acceptable that we've had to pay for different paint. Sorry to say the only solution I have is to wash and repaint with a different brand.Hi there!
I painted a room yesterday with Dulux Kitchen and Bath in Cliffside and, although I love that colour in my spare room, it is not working in this other room. I purchased a gallon of Grape Thistle today to cover it but I'm wondering how long I have to wait to repaint. Thank you for this forum!
Hi there Gwatt! You can re-paint with the new colour as soon as the old colour is dry (usually after 2 hours, depending on the conditions). Happy painting!

Please feel free to give us a call on 13 25 25 for any further questions or go to our website at www.dulux.com.au. The Dulux Customer Service TeamI have the special paint to do the bathroom with which is anti mound, etc. Is it okay to use the undercoat I used for the wash and wear in my bedrooms, in the bathroom? Or do I need a special undercoat for the bathroom? Thanks.
Hi there, if it is a Dulux undercoat you can use the same undercoat for damp or dry areas, it's the anti bacterial properties in the topcoat that will protect you from mould and bacteria. Happy painting!
Use the same undercoat as you used for the bedroom if you have leftovers. No need to spend extra money.
Hi There,
Just a quick question. I painted our bathroom with your kitchen and bathroom paint. After several months blue runs have started to appear on the walls. It is winter and condensation appears on walls after warm showers. Is this the cause? What can we do about the runs?
Cheers, Lloyd
Hi, I'm not a spokesman for Dulux but it sounds like you need an exhaust fan in the bathroom. The runs should wipe off with a damp cloth.
Hi Lloyd. If you leave this paint for a few months undisturbed, then open the tin, you will see a blue substance on the top layer of the stratified paint: that's the anti-fungal stuff. The blue stuff ...
Read moredribbling down the walls is the anti-fungal leaching out of the paint. Dulux will tell you that its surfactant, (but their information is that surfactant leaches out orange or white; not blue). Then they'll tell you that you didn't paint it right or you didn't let it dry properly. That's rubbish. It's just a crap product.Has anyone had a problem with droplets of a cerise pink colour leaching out of Dulux Kitchen and Bathroom Professional Range (half-Blanc colour)? We had no previous problems with this modern bathroom (previously painted with Resene colour), but to get more light, we repainted with the above Dulux paint about a year ago.
One day I noticed that the wall alongside the shower was covered in tiny pink splashes as though someone colouring their hair had shaken it all over the place. Since then the same problem recurs after it has been wiped off and the affected area is spreading and is appearing in the Dulux painted ceiling also. We have a robust fan but airing has been insufficient by the tenant of this bedsit. The area was prepared and paint applied by a professional painter.
I have never heard of this sort of thing occurring. Have you spoken to Dulux about it? They may be able to advise you.
Thanks for caring, will do.
Hi Susan,
You have discovered an issue that is known in the industry as "surfactant leaching", where certain ingredients from within the paint rise to the surface. It's a relatively common issue that...
