Good paint, easy to apply, good finish
Can't fault the product, but give it 4 stars as I don't truly believe the +kitchen+bathroom really adds any value to the normal version of this paint (other than marketing).
Easy to apply paint (I'm not a professional painter), great finish. Dulux is a premium brand but you get what you pay for.

I didn't believe my friend how bad this was.
(Dulux industrial products are excellent, we've never had problems with the profesional range).
I kept hearing how bad my friends ceiling was turning out with this product, i couldn't understand why he was having problems untill....the owner/builder wanted this for the bathrooms.
This paint dries inappropriately fast, there's no chance of laying off properly or wet on wet. To stop this I had to water it down that much beyond the point of being paint, only then it behaves as normal. We're tought not to do this as it ruins the inherent qualities of any paint, but it had to be done.
The dulux enviro sealer low voc is something i wouldn't use again in a hurry, it sucks the 1st coat of low sheen in bad.

Horrible smell
The paint looks fine, but the smell is unbearable. We've repainted our ensuite and the smell is taking over our bedroom too. I have no idea why this product is for sale. Stay away from it.
I don't know how to fix it. Does anyone know what I should paint over to mask?

Mottled appearance of finished walls and ceiling.
I did all the recommended preparations but three coats later of Dulux Washand Wear Plus Kitchen and Bathroom paint and the finish is still slightly mottled. I could have used a cheaper paint and had a better result. Very frustrating and disappointing.

Streaky finish has appeared 1 week after painting
I’ve never had paint that has created the finish this paint has, did everything right, washed ceiling with sugar soap wiped clean with 2 buckets of water, patched and then lightly sanded existing ceiling white. Yet it is super streaky. Paint did seem to dry a lot faster than other paints I have used. Unfortunately I painted our 4 bedroom house with this paint and it took about a week to show itself. So dissatisfied should have just bought the elcheapo ceiling white that bunnings sells for $5 a litre!!! Used dulux wash and wear ( normal) on the walls and it looks great

The worse paint I have ever used on ceilings.
I'm not usually the one to complain about a product however this paint has caused me serious frustration as I have wasted a week of my time and money - My feedback is on par with others - after applying 2 coats to the ceiling it appeared very streaky and patchy - I have had some experience painting ceilings before and have never experienced this finish result - very disappointed as I expected a lot more from a premium Dulux paint - in saying this I have had no issues with Dulux wall paint.

Dulux +Plus Kitchen & Bathroom Ceiling White is dreadful.
I can't say anything about Dulux +Plus Kitchen & Bathroom Ceiling White that hasn't already been said. Four generous coats (five if you count the undercoat) and it's still streaky and patchy. I'm guessing it's because it dries too quickly, even on a cool day, so it can't be laid off properly. I paid a premium price for this paint and thought I'd get a premium product. I guess I was wrong.

This paint is not suitable for large rooms
I have had the exact same problem as ‘Ianw’ describes in his review dated 1 Sept 2017.
This paint is just not suitable for larger room ceilings where there is a lot of light.
After brushing down the ceiling I washed it with warm water - because it wasn't dirty and I didn't want to leave any chemical residue. I then applied 2 coats and then a third because it was patchy after the second coat.
Despite using a very good Smartwool roller specifically designed for ceiling whites the result is still patchy. I used as much care as I could to ...Read more

Same bad chemical smell
Hi,
I used the Ceiling white +plus bathroom and kitchen paint for a room and have had the same bad chemical smell described above. I wasn't sure if it was the furniture or something else untili realised the two only rooms I had painted using this paint had that smell. I might need to try the odour blocker and another brand on top of it
Any suggestions?

Apparently Dulux has changed the formulation in this paint because they had noticed this issue with the antifungal and has also changed the lid of the can to a silver colour. During my phone call they could not tell me what the chemical was. They just said "it is not toxic but could produce headaches in very sensitive people". Worst paint I have ever used
After painting my walls and doors with Dulux and being extremely happy with the results, I thought the choice of paint for the ceiling was easy, stick with the Dulux it won't let me down. So had a new ceiling put in my house lounge, kitchen, dining and study, quite a large area. Went to Bunnings they advised to paint first with Dulux one step primer, so I did that, put on another 3 coats of Dulux and still looked patchy, thought must be something I am doing wrong, went bought another tin of the same stuff (another mistake). End result for all my efforts still looks like crap, patchy everywhere, surely after 1 coat of Dulux primer and 4 coats of Dulux ceiling paint it should look good by now. Used 3 x 4 litre tins of this stuff. So disappointing for a Dulux product. Looks as though I have no choice but to now change brands. Thinking maybe I will revert back to Taubmans. Waste of Time and Money Paint
I've been painting for many years without any problems but have wasted hours & hours & hours trying to get an even finish with this paint and it's simply not possible. Dulux Ceiling White + Plus - WORST PAINT EVER
After having applied 4 coats plus a sealer this has got to be the worst paint job I gave ever done. Streaks all over the ceiling and really bad coverage.

No problems with this paint.
I must admit I was almost put off by the poor reviews for this product but I'm glad I went ahead with it.
I brought a 10 litre tin of Dulux Wash&Wear +Plus Kitchen & Bathroom Vivid White Low Sheen to paint my toilet, bathroom and laundry.
Two of the rooms had a rather yellow/creamy paint colour on the walls but all three had white ceilings. re gaps. Once I was happy with the results of filling gaps/holes I washed the walls with sugar soap the night before painting. I taped the architraves the morning of painting and mixed the paint with a drill mixer for at least 10 minutes. I brushed two coats on the edges of the walls and ceilings (including the cornice) and then rolled two coats on the ceilings and walls. I'm very happy with the result, good coverage (can't see any of the previous colour) across all surfaces and I was very surprised that this paint did smell as much as the normal wash and wear Dulux paint (I painted two kids rooms a fortnight before). The only thing I could complain about is the jump in tins from 4L to 10L. I knew 4L wouldn't be enough but 10L too much, so I now have at least a third of a tin left over and 3 wet area rooms I won't need to paint for some time.1 comment

The worst paint I've ever used!
I cannot believe how bad this paint is. I started with a flat white ceiling in very good condition. I decided to use Dulux +Plus Kitchen & Bathroom with a 12.5% tint (Ecru). I don't know really how to describe the results... it looks like a 5 year old had a crack at painting the ceiling! Roller marks and extremely patchy. I though it would get better with the second coat but it actually has gotten worse.

6.25% or 1/16th as the base was different and this was a much closer match to the Dulux Vivid White @ 12.5%). Cut in around the ceiling and rolled again with the different brand paint using the same roller and technique as before and the result I have now is fantastic, and that's just after only one coat. No roller marks and a lot better coverage. I forgot to mention that the room is a small room, about 3m x 2.7m so there was no need to break the ceiling into sections when painting.Similar opinion? Also disappointed with Dulux Ceiling Paint Flat - Kitchen and Bathroom
I jumped online to see if there were any issues with this product due to my experience and frustration - the only relief after reading the relevant reviews is that it's not my painting technique. I have finished two coats of the ceiling in one room and the results are less than satisfactory. The streaks and lack of a solid coverage are so obvious (despite correct technique) that I'll definitely need to do a third coat at least. I'm hoping a fourth will not be required. I spent the extra money to ensure quality and a lasting paint job but this has really shaken my trust in the Dulux brand now and am considering changing brands for the rest of the house.

it is obviously streaky. I understand what you're saying about overspreading however I broke up the room into sections, always laying off in sections and being careful not to overwork painted areas that would have already commenced drying. I have used decent brushes and rollers and have spent quite a bit of money on equipment to avoid these sorts of problems. Incidentally, I painted our hallway wall in Dulux Wash and Wear which needs another coat because of the streakiness (which I also took a lot of care to do, following proper technique etc). It is nowhere near as bad as the ceiling however against the light, is not a great finish. I will be applying another coat to the ceiling in the hope that it finally comes good however if it doesn't, I will definitely contact the Customer Service Team as you have suggested because, quite frankly, I will be asking for a refund. I purchased the bigger 10L tin to save money - ironic.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Very easy to use great finish
Wanted to paint a kitchen splashback & used this product. I was a bit worried after I saw others not happy but I found it was great! Easy to use and clean up and also followed instructions left plenty of time between coats. Lightly washed over it after leaving for several days and primed with a layer of chalk before using. I don't use a chalkboard duster doesn't work well but use a damp soft microfibercloth and it has been and looks fantastic.

I am using Kitchen and Bathroom Low Sheen with anti-mold etc. The coverage is terrible, the paint is thin and drippy. I have never experienced a paint with such bad performance. I will have to do multiple coats even though I am painting over white with white! I hope that this is a new formula and that the problems can be resolved. The Lost Weekend...
My wife and I are not a professional painters but have, over a number of years painted a couple of houses inside and out so we have some idea of how to prep and paint.
Our project was painting our bathroom which involved changing the colour from a pale green to white using Dulux Wash and Wear Plus.
Walls were prepped and as we were going from a pale green to white applied an undercoat, thinking that two topcoats would be all we'd need. Yeah, right! A third top coat was still not good enough to render our work satisfactory.
The main problems we had were:
1. Patchy finish
2. Rolling a section and then laying off less than a minute or two later would result in the roller taking sections of paint off.. Unbelievable!

Can you use in bedrooms?
3 answers
Hi,
Yes it can be used in kitchen & bathroom, but you need a VERY VERY experienced painter and use Dulux 101 wash & wear. If you do it yourself or by a non skilled painter the result will be horrible!!
Never ever use a product call wash & wear plus super hide it will damage all your house leave with marks on all brush & roller used places, stay away from this product and save your self headache & fainancail losses.
Also be noted that with dulux paint (all types ) you cannot do touch up paint after finishing painting ( incase of you have damage or dirty walls after full paint is finished) because it will always leave spot marks, and you should paint the full wall where it requires touch up. This will need an experienced painter again which might incurr you extra charges.
Hope this had answered your question

I have recently painted my bathroom with dulux bathroom paint. I have now got water splash marks on the wall that will not dry out and looks like it is stained with the marks, any reason why this should happen?
4 answers
Because Dulux has changed the formula i.e. now raw materials sourced in China and made into a formula that each country batch manufactures with either water or solvent and it is CRAP. We used Taubmans Endure in the end which is far superior.

Hi Kaz, thanks for choosing to use Dulux Wash&Wear. A way to remove these kind of marks from your wall would be to use a damp cloth and wipe down the larger area. If you are still not satisfied, please give us a call on 13 25 25 and our Help&Advice team would be happy to help you with your bathroom. the Dulux Team
Hi Kaz, yes sounds similar to what I have seen from chalkyness on my bedroom walls in really bad patches. Unfortunately if you wash walls as Dulux rep suggests it makes the chalkyness in the paint worse as you add moisture which draws it out more. I put up with this for 8 years, wiping down. Dulux blamed our application and prep.Tried Wash and Wear on one wall again in August, cause they said there was a new formula.Same problem. Now am painting with Taubmans Endure. Way better but not acceptable that we've had to pay for different paint. Sorry to say the only solution I have is to wash and repaint with a different brand.

Hi there Gwatt! You can re-paint with the new colour as soon as the old colour is dry (usually after 2 hours, depending on the conditions). Happy painting!
