I've just bottle my first fermenting pot full of cabbage this pot is superb so easy to use geniusly designed. I had that much fermented cabbage I wondered what I was going to do with it all, but the flavour is so delicious and crunchy, I gifted a few jars and have had request to purchase I'm starting to think I should have kept it a secret. My fermented cabbage is made with organic cabbage, apples, ginger, muskatel raisins, fennel and caraway seeds and Celtic salt deliciously good for you with probiotics thank you for a superb pot. this pot is a 10/10

We purchased one of these second hand a year ago and have found them to be a quality product. The filters seem to last ok and are a bit expensive but you pay for the quality systems. The one thing i would say is to check it doesn't leak through the glaze an leave just a little calcium.

We have had our Durand Stoneware Filter for over four years, and until recently when we purchased a new filter we have had no problems. Now we are finding there water goes through the filter very slowly, and the ceramic filter feels slimy. We have cleaned it twice in as many days and the problem persisted, so we changed the filter and put in a new one, and the problem has continued. Not sure if there is a fault with the filters, seems odd that all of a sudden this has started occurring. Would be interested to hear if anyone else has experienced this. We will be contacting Durand, to talk to them.

We have had our filter for about 5 years and it has worked well; recently we purchased another brand of filter cartridge (we are not living locally anymore) and were so unhappy that we scrapped it and purchased the doulton filter online from Durand. We noticed after a week or so of using the new filter that it wasn't draining as fast as we expected, and when cleaning it we noticed a crack. Durand have offered to send a new one so happy story.
simplicity, easy to clean filter cartridge

We've owned this filter a little over 6 months and have so far experienced no cracking, crazing or gaps (such as the previous reviewer mentioned). We weren't mad about the patterned styles, but they have designs for everyone's tastes, including solid colours. We're really pleased that we use this constantly, largely because it's so simple to maintain. You just take the lid off and pour water in the top.
It's very attractive - we have a plain, sand-coloured one that blends nicely in our kitchen. Water tastes terrific, with no chlorine taste. Very easy to operate.
