Repaired just after warranty and broke down again
I purchased an Electrolux Sensor Dry, which was almost 2 x price of cheaper brands, but wanted a dryer that will last around 5 years (that's probably the best we can expect these days). It was 3 weeks before warranty expired, and it stopped spinning. WE got it repaired under warranty, and exactly 4 months later, same problem. We paid to get it repaired ($170 or something like that) 4 months later (1 month after warranty) same, no spin.
I think we are better off just buying a cheap one and expecting them to last just after warranty period.
I dont like buying cheap crap, but i think all are same same these days, and should have bought cheap cheap.

Terrible dryer and no customer support. Will never buy from Electrolux again.
This is a terrible dryer. From Day One, all our clothes come out ridiculously wrinkled even though we have tried the Crease Free / Delicate settings. The Iron Dry setting doesn't wrinkle the clothes, because the clothes are still wet and needs to be run twice!! Many of our clothes have also shrunk. My long tracksuit pants have become ankle freezers, etc. Rang their Gold Coast Electrolux service centre. They say this is not a warranty claim because it is a problem with OUR clothes. I informed them that many of the same clothes were dried...Read more
several times in our previous dryer without any wrinkling or shrinking. This fell on deaf ears. Apparently they could come out for $110 to look at it but they are quite confident that it wouldn't be a warranty claim and insisted it was because of our "type of clothes". Awful dryer, non-existent customer service - what a waste of money.1 comment

Hi, my EDV5051 won’t turn on. Nothing. Would I check out the fuse first or would it be the main board? How do I work it out. I can’t find a video anywhere on how to change the fuse in these models.

My dryer keeps turning off after a few seconds. It’s only a few years old! Has anyone had any luck with what appears to be a common issue? The filter is clean and I’ve tried turning it on and off. Thanks
