Performs as the entry level computerised machine you expect (unlike the spot light marketing where it said it was for advanced users). I was disappointed to find out it is in fact not an Elna machine at all, it is a rebranded Janome DC3100 aimed towards first time sewers. Luckily on the spotlight sale it was only 299. So it was worth the risk. Ever since Janome purchased Elna in 2006 I think they are riding on the trust elna built with consumers.

No problems so far and the results seem good. This is my first Janome machine so hope it lasts as long as my old Elna.

Would also like to know if the Elina 100 machine requires oiling As mentioned by a previous sewer there is nothing in the instruction manual.

Do I need to add oil to my Elna Elina 100? Nowhere in the instruction manual does it mention adding oil occasionally or where to add it to. Thank you.

A thread is tied up inside directly underneath the foot of my machine.
Is there an easier way to get it untangle and have it removed?
