My partner and I when from Melbourne to London for 1 month
The flight was 13 hours to Dubai a stopover for 2.5 hours then to London 7 hours
The flight was just wonderful in economy more leg room then I thought .the food was just very nice.
And the in flight entertainment wow just great but you will need Noise canceling headphones
I have flown with other airlines but Emirates is the best

Do not fly with Emirates - they don't value customers and don't take responsibility for their action
I am Emirates Frequent Flyer, flying every year twice from Sydney to Europe, but I am horrified how Emirates customer service changed.
I was robbed either in Sydney or Dubai flying with Emirates and it seems nobody really cares how this will affect my relationship to Emirates.
Furthermore this situation has been caused by Emirates attendant at check-in desk and Emirates doesn't want to take responsibility for actions of their own employees. From my point of view, this is break of UAE The Federal Law No. 24 of 2006 on Consumer Protection.

Always chasing Emirates
I have flown business class with Emirates on a number of occasions and I am constantly chasing them for booking details and reward points. They are beyond frustrating once you get off the flight their is Xero service and they just dont care about your needs. I will never fly with them again and will be changing to Ethiad airlines shortly.

I had booked my parents to come over for a holiday but literally 2 weeks before they were due to depart we received devastating news about my mum's health which meant there was NO WAY she was able to fly. I was a member of the Emirates program and called and asked if there was any way to transfer the flights to me and my kids and was told no. I had a letter from the doctor / hospital explaining the severity of her condition - Emirates didn't care. I spoke to 2 emotionless 'robots' who just kept telling me over and over that it's in the terms and conditions, too bad for me. I took out a personal loan and made it home just in time. Don't look to this airline to go the extra mile for you - they don't give a damn.

Emirates dumped us with my children in the gate hall for 9 hours.....
They dumped us with my children in the gate hall for 9 hours due to issues with plan.....water and cheese sandwich after 5 hours after aggressive conversation....I have selected the seats ...but the gave us a boarding of different seats...i was not able to sit beside my family in a 14 hours flight......does not worth half the price I paid for the ticket,,,,,never again

DONT FLY EMIRATES!!! Flight delayed TWO hours as no petrol!
We were the first flight out 6am. Travelling for the first time with our 6 month old! Our flight was delayed two hours at Sydney airport!
We were waiting on the plane with no aircon it was 30 plus! My partner heard crew mention they had forgotten to put petrol in!
Because of this delay we missed our connecting Emirates flight. HOWEVER no one told us we ha missed it. Instead we were given the impression to get to the next flight as soon as possible. So we were literally running through the airport with a 6 month old and all our luggage! Everyone we spoke to said ‘ask the next person’
I have never been treated so badly and will NEVER fly Emirates again. I have contacted them five times now and my complaint is being ignored.

Great airline but a disappointing trip
On one of my flights with emirates from london to dubai I had an 8 year old child sitting directly behind me and for the flight duration of about 7 hours this child played games that constantly tapped the screen continuously non stop. The only time he stopped playing was for 5 minutes to go to the toilet and for 10 minutes to eat. er for the comfort of others knowing very well that I could not relax or try to sleep as the tapping would vibrate through to the back of my head. Even though there are not a lot of people playing these type of games but even if it disrupts 1 paying customer then why should that person suffer for the pleasure of others and that's why I think emirates should do something about this problem either by trying to somehow dampen the vibration coming through or have these games that need constant tapping deleted from the menu or put a time frame on these particular games like play for a while and then have it automatically turn off for a length of time before resuming. I'm sure the experts can work something out for it is so unfair that you pay for your ticket just like everybody else and yet on such a long trip everybody is relaxing and sleeping and you cannot. Impossibly short connection times to Sydney resulting in loss of baggage.
I use Emirates twice a year or more and have for the past 10 years. Whilst they have for the most part been ok, in recent years I have begun experiencing more troubles related to flying from Sydney to any location in Europe as Emirates exclusively offers these flights with extremely short connection times (1 to 1.5 hours usually). e, however they lost my luggage in the process. The mishandling of my baggage was a direct result of them rushing me to the connecting flight without waiting for my suitcase. Clearly a lost or delayed luggage creates HUGE inconveniences. I feel this risk could be materially reduced if they allowed slightly longer connections of 3-4 hours between flights from/to Sydney and Europe. Their handling of my lost luggage has also been bismal. This could have so easily been avoided had they not persevered with rushing me to my connecting flight without waiting for my suitcase. Great airline and experience
I've flown Emirates to Europe several times, the last time was in September 2018. Love this airline, the ease of online booking and the business class experience. Cabin, service, flight were all excellent. My only criticism would be the huge distance at Dubai airport during a brief (2.5 hr) stopover to exit the flight from Melbourne and then board flight to Europe (need a people mover as it's at least 2km).

Literally the WORST airline I have ever flown - absolutely hopeless from start to finish
Where do I begin?
FLIGHT
On the way over my mother's screen didn't work properly & my headphone port was also broken. The seats were miserably uncomfortable & old looking. The bathrooms were filthy & were never cleaned. The staff were on another planet - not even slightly helpful. However in all of this what amazed me is that it took over 2 hours of flying on each leg to be offered a basic beverage such as water! Customer Service Abysmal
Emirates refunded fares back to a dodgy Travel Agent without authorisation. When asked to re-instate with new payment, they wanted to charge an additional $600. Very little compassion. Lack of information provided. I just don't think they care less about the average fare-paying punter. Poor Form.

Please take a moment to read through the reviews of Emirates here on product review and you’ll notice something peculiar...unlike other businesses who actually care about customer service Emirates doesn’t even bother responding to negative feedback because they think they are above it...that should tell you something for a start.

What is disgusting is the fact that Emirates insists on a rigid protocol for complaint resolution which requires a written submission...this heavily favours the wealthier educated classes. What’s worse, is that even after following this protocol, Emirates rarely, if ever, get back to their customers. Please check out their Social media pages for verification of this...I can also verify that I have followed the aforementioned protocol and I am still waiting for a response. Definitely not a 5 star airline
I had been under the impression that Emirates was a 5 star airline. My husband and I have flown to Europe previously with Etihad, Qatar, and this year, Emirates. To say Emirates was disappointing and a league behind Etihad and Qatar would be an understatement.

had a night in Athens and were flying a different airline to Santorini; however, were reassured that this wasn't a problem at all and we could easily check our bags all the way through. So, for ease, time and convenience, we did; as we trusted that Emirates knew what they were doing. However, upon check in at Athens airport for our flight to Santorini, we were told by our airline that our bags would not have been checked through and we had to go and find them at baggage claim. With baggage claim struggling to locate our bags at baggage claim, we ended up missing our 9am flight to Santorini. As a direct result of us missing the flight, we then had to pay 450 euro for new flights to Santorini (one way for two people ; an equivalent of over $800 AUD), with the new flight scheduled for 5pm. As a direct result of Emirates incompetence, we not only missed our flight, but missed an entire day in Santorini. The anxiety caused from not knowing where our bags were, no one being able to help us, missing our flight, not being able to get onto another flight for another 8 hours, paying 450 euro for new flights, re-scheduling our hotel transfer and dinner booking (meaning that we could not get into the restaurant until 10pm) and having to re-purchase 40 euro train tickets back to Athens caused me to have an anxiety attack in the airport. This anxiety attack resulted in an inflamed oesophagus. This was excruciatingly painful for me during the trip and led to me to having to visit the doctor in Santorini (paying 100 euro) and again in Rome, being on medication for the entire 3 week trip, not being able to eat or drink for 3 days then when I finally could get food down, having to eat extremely slowly and only limited foods, suffering from energy exhaustion from a lack of not eating in 45 degree weather. Apalling Customer Service
Beware of shared bookings. A reasonable person would expect to have the same privileges as if it were an Emirates flight. Not so and you don't know this until after, surprise surprise payment. On economy you can't purchase extra baggage until you get to the airport. I purchased one of these dud tickets for my daughter to come live with me in Australia assuming incorrectly that i could purchase extra afterwards online as she has little money to rock up to the airport and get fleeced. No and what a rigmarole of Telstra like customer service. Shame on you Emirates. I read that you're the number 1 in the world now. No and neither is Qantas letting themselves associate with these bandits.

I Wouldn’t Fly With Them On Principle
What principle, I hear you ask? The one that despises being spammed with advertising. Emirate Airlines does that on the ten network, here in Australia. The same Emirates ad, over and over and over and over, every five minutes.

Just returned from Singapore Monday mid night flown with Emirate, though it is fairly new aircraft and the staff on board provided reasonable well service, but I never experience such poor food from air line. We took off around 1 p m from Singapore and not long they server lunch, its a piece of chicken and mess potato with no other choice, its fair enough as the aircraft is not full and virtually empty business class. Checking in at the airport in Singapore is also not so smooth, everything was automatic, but still need to wait for staff to arrive before we can drop the bags, so why having all these machines for us to go through. Emirates never again
Have flown with Emirates for years now but our recent trip was a night fare, was charged $985 for a no show at the airport infact we were at the check in desk but had lost passport in the taxi whilst travelling to the airport. Emirates recharged a big amount to rebook flights.
On our return trip we had pre purchased our seats and when checking in at Dubai, Emirates said they had a change of aircraft and our paid seats were lost and we were placed at the back of the plane - what a joke.

Though if they cancelled your flight then terms and conditions stating below
9.2.2 You will be entitled to choose one of the following three available remedies if we cancel a flight;

destination; or cause you to miss a connecting flight with us or with another airline for which you hold a
through booking/confirmed reservation and adequate time existed to make the connection after the
scheduled time of arrival of your flight
9.2.2(a) Remedy One - we will carry you and your Baggage as soon as we can on another of our flights
on which space is available and, where necessary, extend the period of validity of your Ticket to cover that
carriage.
9.2.2(b) Remedy Two - we will re-route you and your Baggage within a reasonable period of time to the
destination shown on your Ticket on another of our flights or on the flight of another airline, or by other
mutually agreed means and class of carriage. We will also refund you any difference between the fare,
