They could not provide in writing why my application had been rejected with a particular company. Asked to speak to the supervisor they "were out at lunch". Asked for them to send me an email confirming my conversation with the call operator they couldn't do that either. Not happy. I will be complaining to the ombudsman!

Reading the reviews to see if Energywatch is still the same and can't say I'm surprised at all. I never believed that anything would be different when the ownership changed. I worked for Energywatch for a few months in 2011 while it was under [name removed] and you can't trust anything they say. All they're after is your money and they don't care about anything else. At the time I left management was all about making their staff offer the provider that would get them the most money not give you a better deal and from the reviews it looks like nothing has changed. Best thing I ever did was leave that place. They need to be shut down. Don't trust anything they tell you...

I have received a number of calls from them, then today for the third time they rang trying to say my energy usage agreement was due for renewal and that they had organised my previous deal with my energy supplier, what a load of codswallop, I organised it myself by negotiating between Origin & AGL & managed to do so without incident & received the full discount without using any of these incompetent idiots.

Told me my current contract is finishing and moved me to other retailer without proper check etc... !!! Causing me lot of trouble (i.e. charge with termination fee from previous retailer) etc. In the email, they says it is my responsibility to check with the previous retailer !!! On their website, the says "We will take care of the rest and ensure a smooth transition to your newly selected plan."... full of rubbish !!!

Told me they could save us money but that was a load of rubbish! Once signed up the new retailer, Simply Energy, put up their prices to higher than what I was paying before. I cancelled contract and went back to old retailer. What a waste of time!

DO NOT USE ENERGY WATCH

Received my new contract offer from AGL which was a considerably lower discount than the one I was currently on. The new offer from AGL was 13% discount for electricity usage and 7% on gas usage.My enquiry to Energy Watch resulted in a new offer from AGL with a 26% discount for electricity and 15% for gas. A fantastic result which I accepted. About 2 days later, I received confirmation from AGL of the Energy Watch offer so I am 100% pleased with Energy Watch service and the results obtained. Would highly recommend using this service.

Ok it took ages before my electricity was finally transferred from AGL to power direct. I found price of my usage remained steady rather than way cheaper as prices all round went up at that time. Although it seems not a big saving my brother is still with AGL and paying double what I'm paying and my house is double the size and 3 streets away. Anyway interestingly AGL supplies to powerdirect. I haven't had any real issues. Now I'm with yet another company through power direct which is even cheaper. Even if you want to exit there are no exit fees so I don't have issues. More can be saved if paid through direct debit and no paper bills. I love energy watch!!

Do not deal with this company, they are dishonest unprofessional and not to be trusted, do not believe a word they say .

They're hopeless!! I spent about half and hour on the phone to some guy who said I would get much better rates, than my current provider could offer if I signed up with AGL. When I spoke directly to AGL they quoted very different rates, a lot higher than what Energy Watch had quoted. Eventually, after numerous phone calls to both AGL and Energy Watch, turns out the person from Energy Watch had entered my National Meter Identifier number incorrectly, and had subsequently offered my the wrong rates. There's no compensation for their stuff-ups, but you as the consumer have to sign your life away, and could suddenly find yourself locked into a contract that's not as it was explained to you. Rather do your own research.

Called for a quote on combining my gas and electricity, was provided a quote, I clearly advised them I didnt want to accept at that time as I had more research to do - but they signed me up anyway!! Crooks - obviously just wanted the money they get from the companies they sign you up with, even though they didnt have my consent.

Called seeking a quote on Mar 13. I was told I would receive a 20% discount on gas and electricity in I retained AGL as my provider. I agreed and signed up. Four months later, I'm getting bills from Origin. I call AGL and am informed that my gas never connected with them, nor do they offer a 20% discount. It takes Energy Watch five weeks to 'investigate', but they allege that I only agreed to have electricity connected.
