Idiots keep calling
I used the energy watch comparison to check that my new energy contract was good before the cooling off period. I did not give them my mobile number but gave them my landline which is only used for a broadband connection. I have call number display so I can see that they are the only number that calls me. Every day, two or three times a day they ring me. I changed my answering machine message to say "Hello Energy Watch, this is John ...., I got what I needed from your website so please don't call again." But they keep calling! I am now having my land line and internet disconnected. Thank you Energy Watch for disturbing a person with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Maybe a good lawyer can get me some compensation.

Incorrect advise
My contract was due to expire so I was comparing options using Energy Watch. Green Energy came out the best for combined Gas & Electricity so when contacted by Energy Watch was going to change over to them. The Consultant offered me $100 rebate on both Gas & Electricity along with pay on time discounts to stay with AGL. Upon receiving first bill there was no rebate credit on account. I rang Energy Watch and was told to follow it up with AGL. After 1hour 2 minute wait on web chat, I was told a generated revised bill would be sent and they will a...Read more
pply the rebates. Then after 2 emails, then a 20 minute phone wait, I was advised that I was already active in same product even though this is a new 24 month contract, rebate would not be paid. I am most disappointed as I was offered the rebate by Energy Watch Consultant to stay with AGL and a confirmation email was received. This is an error by Consultant, not knowing her contracts and giving incorrect information. So instead of being a simple change over to Green Energy through Energy Watch, they have taken no responsibility and I have had to spend over 2 hours emailing, ringing and online chatting to following up on an error by Consultant. The simple fact is, that if I was not offered the rebates to stay, I would not still be with AGL.

Very smooth and sly!!
Fast talking and not to be trusted!! I joined Mojo Energy on the recommendation of Energy Watch but found that the appropriate paperwork had not been completed.
All in all just a quick sale with no care.

The Real EnergyWatch?
The Google result indicated Energy Watch was a site where I could compare Suppliers. I completed the Check. Decided not to change. Then received a call from an Energy watch Representative. I asked [name removed] (rep) why he was calling, and he responded with "Just following up". Huh? (I missed that bit when I clicked o.k.) I informed him that I had checked the Comparison and would be staying where we were. I then hung up. He rings back. When I asked him for his full name and reminded him that I had politely told him "Not interested" He hung up. A call to Energy watch asks me if I am a Business Customer or a Private one????? Are they a comparison site, or nothing more than a Supplier with a dodgy name?.

Unprofessional and full of lies / tricks.
Don't even bother going through this company.
1) Totally unprofessional sales team, speaking at 100km/h and kept cutting you off
2) They lie and try to put words in you mouth trying to get you to agree to their suggested plans
3) When questioned, answers kept changing and and nothing seems quite right
4) Very pushy and try every trick in the book to try and get you to agree on the switch / plan even after you've said no many times over.
You're better off on going direct to the big boys and leave these dodgy company to their own.

Absolute lies!
I phoned energy watch to compare prices as I had a letter from red energy that all power was going up, energy watch recommended agl and did the comparison for me they told me up I would save up to $40 per bill, on review after I had hung up I phoned red energy and the woman gave me a comparison that meant agl would actually cost me more to Change as their supply costs per day were a lot more even though a bigger discount on usage was offered, I phoned energy watch to let them know this and no one would talk to me! I have threatened to take them...Read more
to consumer affairs for misleading information, I will phone agl myself tommorow and cancel any agreement that energy watch has made with them, I will also phone red and make sure they do not deactivate my account! Just wanted to get a quote and have a think, they called almost as soon as I clicked the next button I said I couldn't talk at work as I have to be on the work phone said I would look at the info and let them know. Within an hour I have had 5 calls from the same number. I rejected all of them and have now blocked the number.
If someone says don't call at work and let me think about it, don't spam them.

Misleading information given to me just so they to get a Commission for themselves
When getting a quote online had to put my phone number in only to receive a call within seconds from Energy Watch guy - appears to me to be same company or part of 'iselect'? Am with AGL & he asked for pricing details from my bill then told me they get a wholesale group rate or much better than I was paying with them so let him go through the changeover spiel only to find what they emailed me afterwards was exactly the same deal I already had with AGL? He totally misled me into thinking they'd get me a better rate & instead seem to just be afte...Read more
r a grab of commission from the Energy Company. I'd even assume they could submit invoices & then bully them to say they introduced you when they haven't at all - probably lots of commissions just get paid to them as wouldn't have time to check every account? I emailed Energy Watch to say I wasn't happy with their tactics nor ethics & to cancel it but they didn't bother to reply back then noticed on bottom of the page it says you have to ring the Energy company to cancel it instead (EW just wash their hands off you) BUT as I was already with AGL this created total confusion when I rang - still unsure & worried what will occur with my Electricity account now? They don't seem to have learnt anything at all as even back in 2012 they are in trouble for similar reasons: https://www.accc.gov.au/media-release/over-2-million-penalties-for-misleading-energy-watch-advertising Am worried & frightened of the fact also they gain access to all your personal details plus they asked for my Lic & Medicare No.s too...don't need much more information to cause havoc in someones life really do they? DIS-HONEST AND MISLEADING
Energy watch stuffs you up completely. They only recommend the retailers they have been sponsored by. Suggested me changing my gas with AGL and power with power direct. Its like having one foot in one place and another food in another place; lots of hassle and complete mess. The rates after you are signed up is different to the rates they give you over the phone when they try and sign you up.
Energy watch said they will do all the transfer, everything, hassle free, but nothing was done except sending my details to the retailer. I had to make several calls to fix everything up.
NOT HAPPY WITH ENERGY WATCH.

Dodgy business
They will call you ask if you need power and gas on your property. Next step is to find you the best provider in your region (they will obviously say that the sponsored provider is the best), then they will send you an email, however, they will ask you for your Medicare or Driver's License number so they can make the contract under your name, instead of sending you an email with the best quotes. Very dodgy

O.M.G. So bad!!
Do yourself a favour and DO NOT use these guys. They managed to stuff up everything!! Told me they had arranged my electricity with Energy Australia (who, when I called to see why they hadn't connected my electricity, had never heard of me!). It was one error after another. Never again. I wished I'd reviewed them first. If I'd just called Energy Australia direct, I would have been fine!

Energy Watch Changed my power supply from Energy Australia to Power Direct without my approval
Approximately two years ago I enquired with Energy Watch on the Phone to see what or how i could save money on my power bill.To move from Energy Australia who i was not happy with. The sales representative from Energy watch took all of my details and rates and usage details and suggested i change or move my power provider to Power Direct .He also advised me that I had a ten Day cooling off period and I could opt out of of the change of suppliers within 10 days were I would stay connected to Energy Australia.

Less than one star. Not what it's cracked up to be.
Was told with some enthusiasm the new provider would charge $170.00 per quarter compared with $320.00 being paid. Received first full account and it was exactly that same as previous provider. Don't fall for the nonsense.

Go direct to the company
I haggled and got best deal from Energy Watch for electricity. They did come up with an offer of 18% discount on current rates that I was paying. Rang my company direct, got 22%. Go direct IMO.

Be very cautious indeed!
I have solar panels so my power consumption and costs differs greatly between seasons. They deliberately tried to manipulate these figures to suit their preferred provider. Worse still I thought they were simply advising on a suggested alternative and would be e-mailing me more comparison details only to find out with the reordered message they were trying to sign me up. Fortunately I was able to decline and make clear I would not be making any decision without more information. Very unimpressed. The feeling was I was dealing with real sharks.
