Epson WorkForce WF-2660

This is the worst printer I've ever had. Chews through ink quickly and asks for new cartridge replacements when the old ones are still 1/3 full. Also, won't let you print in grayscale even though it offers that option. Will only use genuine Epson ink, no refills.

I hate this printer. I always have. It takes 2 minutes to scan, is always running out of ink, the software interface bugs me, etc.
Now I have something urgent to print in black and white. - but one of the colours is out, so I can't print.
The printer is designed to make money out of ink instead of helping its owner.

Print quality O.K. Jams often enough to be annoying. Every time I scan a document the first scan fails. Uses ink as though it's going out of fashion, that is, and it's a BIG that is, if you can persuade it that it has cartridges in it at all - it's constantly in denial.

Have had it 3 or 4 years now.
Home business used daily.
Prints Bluetooth from 2 android pads and 2 iPads and a Lenovo laptop, no issues.
We scan text and photos, no issues
Use the clean function In between cartridges may help.
We are ok with it.

Purchased approx 18 months, used a handful of times, literally maybe 10 times and now it won’t print black.
Called the help line and because it’s out of warranty we have to pay for a repair. I’ll be contacting consumer affairs for sure, and won’t be purchasing anymore epson products.

Purchased this printer 2 years ago. Recently began playing up & wouldn't print, even though Cartridges were new. If you want longevity in your Ink Jet printer, Don't buy Epson. Uses a lot of Ink. Might be cheap, however, very uneconomical. Epson service have no interest in replacing or even helping with a repair.

I bought this printer to replace my other printer for uni. I thought Epson is a good brand and it was priced reasonably. This printer jams often even with Reflex paper. You can not print only in black and white if colour is out. Replacement ink does not last any where near the page numbers that is written on the back. Im lucky if I get 100 pgs using economical settings. Also you cant use cheaper ink as the ink cartridges are microchipped. I have only used epson 220xl and epson 220 genuine ink. This machine is a rip off. To replace colour ink and black all in one go costs more than I paid for the printer in the first place. Disgusting. I will be switching to Cannon as soon as possible.

I hate the bright blue power light - it lights the whole room. I hate the loud noise it makes when I switch it off- it wakes people up. What designer thought that was necessary? The numerous software interfaces are disjointed. It often misses lines - needs regular cleaning. It seems to need new expensive ink after limited prints. No AirPrint. Try something else. I wish I stuck with cannon

This machine will NOT let you print in black/white if any of the color cartridges aren't full. Your son need to print a 1 page word doc? Too bad, you are low on yellow..can't print. Even if you change settings on compute to "black" or greyscale...doesn't matter, can't print in black because you are low in Blue. ANOTHER scam: I bought all new cartridges, each color, but set my print to black/white ONLY..didn't print a single color page and in one month, guess what? Yellow was empty..and pink almost out explain that. Unless you like driving frantically to the store at 6pm on a school night to spend 30bucks on ink each month STAY AWAY from this garbage

I bought this printer for a home business where i needed to print daily invoices and the like. Nothing fancy. Basic black A4 prints of text. It worked great for a month or so. It did use a fair bit of ink which wasn't cheap. Then i had to change the black ink cartridge. Could never get it working again. Tried all sorts of nozzle cleaning recommendations and nothing.. Stupidly bought another cartridge in case that was the problem, but alas, it was not.. I'll be trying a different brand next time.

So no satisfied.Settings impossible, trying to print an email a night mare, nothing but trouble, would never recommend, trying to change setting a night mare, not helpful directions, support bit approriate, these maybe throw away deviceces at your point but ink sales have to e worth something. i am going to get rid of this printer asap .

The machine can only print black and white by using colour.

The effect is that it quickly consumes all your ink cartridges but you cannot just replace your black and white, you must replace $50 worth instead of $10.

I wish I had read reviews before buying - will replace ASAP.

This printer is complete rubbish. I purchased this printer for a holiday house because I have the WF-3660 at home and thought the convenience of using the same printer cartridges would be the way to go....even though I've had LOTS of problems with the WF-3660. What a brain explosion decision that was. The WF-2660 could not even initialise before failing. A constant 'Scanner failure' message kept appearing and after reading the manual the only option was to put it back in the box and return it for a refund.....and promise never to buy Epson rubbish again.

I contacted Epson before returning it for a refund and got...well......complete rubbish service! Rounded out the whole experience.

I returned to study this year and decided to upgrade my printer. I previously had a HP which worked perfectly fine but was just a little slow. The epson has been nothing but trouble. It runs out of ink incredibly fast and if you run out of coloured ink then you can't use the back and white print function. Do not buy this printer.
