Printer Sucks

published

I had 3 of these printers. Heads constantly get blocked. One was replaced by Epson. This will be my 3rd and last going to the garbage for blocked print heads I purchased a cleaning kit that didn't work. Save your money. Don't buy this junk. When it did work quality was bad, missing letters and streaks.

Okay printer.

published

Upgraded our printer we got more than 5 years ago for about $40. This is a huge improvement since it was able to do duplex printing. However it is really really loud. Also makes the table shake while it is printing. Quality of printing is okay, can't complain.. Have only had it for about 2 months so will update in the near future.

That was our 2nd Epson and our LAST!!! Photos constantly had horizontal lines through the pictures so we had to take the ink out, shake each one up, run test, run printer head cleaner, each process costing money. If this had happened occasionally we might have accepted it, however it was a constant event. We probably could have paid for a new HP with the money we wasted on ink & photo paper. When we contacted Epson they wanted us to pay $70.00 in advance in order for them to replace it with a new one. We threw it out in the trash where it belonged.l

Buyer Beware....

published

I wouldn`t recommend this printer to anyone.
The Epson WF 3620 Is a "SHAM" how in "good consciences" can you stand behind such poor quality, the cost of your ink refills, is nothing more than, robbery!!! they cost as much as a new printer...
I wouldn`t recommend this printer to anyone, and you can rest assured I'll be telling my family and friends about my experience with Epson Work Force 3620 printer.

surprised by poor reviews

Strange that this product is getting a fair bit of negativitiy. Personally I have found it to be reliable for the price point. Refills are at market rate - quality is good enough without being excellent and hasn't jammed yet. I do note that it is certainlly not an office level printer. Good for the home

Good fast & reliable printer

published

Have this printed for about six months. It is a good reliable printer. I find the ink requires to be changed every couple of weeks from little use as I find it wastes a little bit too much ink. Also has a fast start warmup time compared to my old HP printer. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is after a good home office printer.

Great scanner but terrible printer

published

just about to return my second one of these after the printing has failed again. Nozzles get blocked, printing is smudged. Just terrible. $169 for cartridges and spending most of that cleaning the nozzles and wasting paper. Also a very laborious process. My old HP printer (10-years old) is much, much better. Just doesn't have the document scanner or WiFi.

Worse printer ever bought

published

Previously I had a good experience with Epson. However this printer was terrible from Day 1. The print quality was never good and the print nozzles error kept coming up. Got an error abput paper source repeatedly. Had the first one replaced after three weeks of purchase. Suffered with the second one for 7 months and then returned it for a refund with the retailer. Lost $120 on the XL print cartridges. Tried to contact Epson but got no assistance. Will never buy a Epson printer again.

good printer

published

Got this printer for 5 months now. It's working as it should. Clear prints, good colors, double sided and works through wifi from all devices such as phone, ipads and computers. Installation was an easy process. As many different options are available some people could have some difficulties using all the options. Working through Wifi takes a bit longer than through direct connection to computer. For home use it's perfect (sofar)

Working very well after more than a year service. Using cheap ink cartridges (as Epson is far too expensive !). It does give a warning that non epson print cartridges are used but they work well and produce the same quality prints as epson ones do.

Epson a load of rubbish

published

I purchased this printer around 6 months ago & it is by far the biggest piece of garbage I've ever owned.
I purchased it because it was supposed to use less ink that would be because it never prints.
I'm constantly receiving an error message that requires me to shutdown the computer when I restart & try to print the same problem the paper gets to the printer heads & then jambs.
It can do this for around 4 attempts in a row & then when it prints again I probably get 5 pages & then it starts again with the problems.
I tried to make a complaint to Epson but there is no complaints department so I sent an email to the service department & I was supposed to get an answer in 24 hours that was over a week ago.
No customer service at all.

Avoid this printer

published

I have had Epson printers for 20 odd years now and they have got progressively worse. This printer is by far and away the worst printer I have ever had. It will be the last Epson printer I will buy. The printer heads constantly require cleaning and they never clean properly, the print quality is appalling, and the wifi connection is highly unreliable. After looking at many reviews of this worthless printer I have come to the conclusion that I will cut my losses not bother with the warranty and write the £100 off to experience and purchase a printer from another manufacturer. Well done Epson you have lost a customer for life with this worthless unreliable poor quality piece of junk.

Good printer, but.....

published

I've been happy with this printer, but Epson does "control" the use of your print cartridges. I subscribe to the thinking that they program the printer to reject any 3rd part or refilled cartridges. Not because they won't work, because they do, but because they miss out on the ongoing revenue stream from ink sales. This sucks! I wouldn't buy another Epson because their cost is TOO HIGH.

I've been really happy with it so far

published

Print quality is really good - I'm really happy with this product so far. It was easy to set up, the instructions were good and easy to follow and more help was available when I can any other questions.
Refills are way cheaper than our canon - and that machine only last about 2 years too.
I use normal thickness paper as well as up to 285 GSM and it prints perfectly on them all and doesn't jam with any of the thicknesses. It's quite a big machine though would be my only let down. Love the easy to use touch screen.

Frustrating annoying time wasting

published

I HATE THIS PRINTER I have had it replace under warranty twice and would like to have it pitched over the cliff but first I want to beat the HELL out of it with a bat.
I use good paper, it jams, keeps dropping off the internet connection, icons are touchy and don't recognize the finger touch so you have to keep trying and trying and AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Will tough it out until warranty is up but not one minute longer.

Never printed. Copied on one occasion.

published

After unpacking this printer, I copied a kids book cover, and the reproduction was excellent. Attempted to print from phone, computer and iPad a few weeks later and got blank pages. Never successful printed anything. Cleaned the head and tried again to no avail, despite full ink. Lost the receipt, so this was a big waste of time and money for me.

Lack of setup instructions and Epson Perth technical help did not help

published

Touch screen menu did not follow on from each step. Or relate to written instructions. Lack of setup instructions and Epson Perth technical help did not help. Recommend HP printer as instructions setup a bit easier for those who only buy a printer every few years. Lack of online or Epson person to advise, they appearred reluctant to advise how to setup printer themselves.

EPSON Workforce 3620 Printer - DO NOT BUY!

published

I used Seiko-Epson printers in the 1980s. I stepped up to HP (A3) and Brother MFC Printers in the 1990s and 2000s. This was my first Epson in almost 30 years. I've had it less than 3 months and it will be dropped off a five story balcony into dumpster. IT IS RUBBISH. it costs too much time to diagnose and fix. The first set of installed print cartridges worked fine. Two sets of replacement Epson cartridges won't print anything but CYAN. I've tested nozzles, cleaned heads and replaced cartridges twice ($200+). The wireless network drops out and it sounds like a 1950's Sydney train in a city tunnel. LAST EPSON EVER.

Unreliable

published

Purchased this printer after our HP stopped working. Since installing the epson we have done nothing but fight with it. The wireless stops several times a day. Have not been able to make a copy with it (we can scan to the PC and then turn around and print) Overall for anyone using for business I would recommend looking at another option. Our productivity has decreased drastically simply due to the unreliability of this printer.
