Appealing customer service - Last time was final time
Carousel Essential Beauty is An essential that you can definitely do without. Go elsewhere. On three occasions my appointments were moved about, all within 6 months, one changed to another day as they couldn't fit me in the beautician wanted to leave on time! by message or text to save me driving 20 mins? She said, yer I don't know why? What is weird is they contacted me to make the follow-up appointment! They told me the date and time to attend. They then sent a text msg to me 2 days prior to my appt to confirm I would be there. I text YES. I left work early to be on time and am them rung and told sorry can't fit you in. I voiced my objection and annoyance, advising this was the third time in 6 months they had done this! I received a mild don't care apology with them telling me my appointment would make them run 30 mins over as the last appointment! So they cancelled the appointment they instigated? The lady explained they were new owners, recent salon purchase. I pointed out the same comment had been told previously 6 months ago, she had nothing to offer. You can't continue to use the same excuses a year down the track. The owner I travel to Rockingham a 45min each way trip on Saturday. The owner had zero care factor, later I heard several negative stories from friends who no longer attend Carousel citing poor service, bad attitude of staff, and premises could do with a good clean. So, do yourself a favour and don't waste your valuable time and money with this company, they really don't care. Go to a decent day spa and be pampered.Similar opinion? Do not get pierced here!
Do not go here for professional or quality piercings! For starters guns should not be used at all as they are blunt forced trauma to the skin and can not be pierced straight or even! Secondly appointments are in 10 minutes slots which is not enough time to mark up piercings and give the customer a proper consult.
Aftercare information is incorrect.
Jewellery is cheap and not suitable for fresh piercings.
Staff have very little piercing knowledge.

Horrible. Waste of money.
I had a nose piercing but it fell out in the middle of the night the second day it was pierced. I went back to the shop to inform them and they said the only option was to pierce it again but I have to pay for it. The money I paid included the jewellery but she used the same jewellery from last time. They know I go to sleep (like every other human) they should have had better reassurance and it should be free as it was there fault not mine. Horrible place. Horrible service. Would highly advise never going there. A complete waste of $100. Biggest regret of my life.

Terrible experience - kids ear piercing
I wouldn't recommend taking children here at all. My daughter needed a few minutes to build up the courage to have her ears pierced. 8 minutes into the appointment (in this 8 minutes we'd also done paperwork, earmarking, and cleaning) we were ready to go, but we were asked to leave. Apparently, it is a 10-minute appointment allocation. They said it usually takes 2 minutes and we took too long. That was it - it was just awful. No care for the child involved from the staff whatsoever. A very disappointed birthday girl and a terrible experience.

Childrena ear piercing
After advanced booking online for a double operator ear piercing at Highpoint melb for my young daughter. Attended at time of booking to be told only one gun was working and only 4 earrings to choose from. No comfort bear was offered to my daughter like stated on website and no after care spray available. I would never recommend this service to parents, best to look elsewhere. Very disappointed with service and lack of stock.

Who does that?
After a bikini line wax treatment, I was convinced by Essential Beauty staff to pre-pay for an IPL treat ment as it was half price. When I voiced my concerns about this treatment several years ago, they said the equipment was much better now, so I paid the $200 for the treatment and left. We established I hadnt had a patch test and they could do that first and then Id go home, shave then theyd do the IPL a couple of hours later. I was on Central Ave Inglewood and said Id drive directly there and would be about 10mins, which I did. Due to a couple of traffic lights, I was more like 15-17mins. Once there I was turned away as she said I took too long so they could no longer do the 10 minute patch test. As I didnt really want to do it anyway, I asked for my money back there and then, to which they flatly refused and I left. Obviously I wasnt happy about this and didnt really want to lose my $200, so I went home to do my own patch test (shaving only) with disastrous resultsthis cemented my anxiety about the procedure as you have to shave first. I contacted them by email a week or two later explaining that Id been going through an auto-immune diagnosis (ankylosing spondylitis); that Id previously had an auto-immune related skin disease (Subcorneal Pustular Dermatosis) and was anxious about the procedure and therefore wished to put the money from my half price IPL treatment towards FULL PRICE wax treatment, which I knew my skin was ok with. She politely told me in her email Im sorry but we do not provide a refund or exchange of service due to a change of mind. She also told me The package was also bought during a promotion and there are terms and conditions attached with that, these are outlined on our website should you wish to have a look through. Metal gives infection
I got my seconds and only a few days after both my ears became septic and extremely infected, to the point where I was forced to take the piercing out for my ear to heal.

Do not ever go to essential beauty for a piercing 9/10 they get it wrong
It has been 2years since my naval piercing and from other professional piercing places and people that have had their naval pierced before I did all said yes, your piercing is to shallow, it will be very irritating to you because of its shallowness. laying on my stomach, squating down and having things knock it irritates it because of how shallow the piercing is. r did not do a professional job, it is to shallow and that my only options were to use the smallest bar they have 6mm that is hard to come by, have it re-pierced and take the chance of the body pushing the jewellery back into its old pierced position, leave it in and risk one day of it just ripping out when you hit it wrong or take it out leaving a scar. When going for a piercing there are always risks but when a place of practice pitches to you that they have been qualified, that they are very hygienic and do a professional job, you think yeah I will trust what you say, there are so many essential beauties that they must do a good job. Nope I was wrong because of their false advertisement I am stuck with a decision that I made at 15 years of age that could turn out really good or really bad.1 comment

Great customer service
I had a lovely girl pierce my ears on Friday she was friendly and professional, I would highly recommend her. I was surprised to read the comments as I may not have used them, I was a walk in and didn't have to wait too long

Awful Piercings. Would not recommend them to anyone.
I went to Essential Beauty to get my second lobe piercing. The piercing was done by a gun and someone who was obviously not a professional. The piercing was extremely crooked and even though I cleaned them the exact way I was told too they were still infected and never healed even after an entire year. I went to another piercing shop to have the piercing looked at and they were appalled saying it was placed incorrectly and just looked awful. I had them pierced again by the professional and caused me no problems since. Please do not go to Essential Beauty if you want your piercings done properly with sanitary equipment. Always go to a piercer that you have researched.

Poor service & non-existent customer service.
My 14 year old daughter had her 2nd’s done Frankston. Upon returning to the car my daughter took one look at her ears & burst into tears. The piecing had been placed incorrectly. The manager then proceeded to try to deflect the blame onto the first piercings, again done at Frankston.
There was no mention that her first holes were in the incorrect position until we returned to the store & if this is the case the seconds should have been placed accordingly, not with a visibly difference gap between the 2 piercings on each side. When authorisin...Read more
g the pen marks, my daughter & I would have been looking at the placement of the seconds not the gap that was in between the firsts & seconds on each side. The manager did not want to listen, all she wanted to do was talk over the top of me & blame the customer for a job that had been poorly performed. When trying to deflect the situation onto the first piercings what the manager did not realise was that the first piercings were also done at Frankston also, so they have not only incorrectly pierced my child one but twice now in my opinion. I found the manager very unprofessional, upon returning to the store my daughter was visibly distort & had been in tears & the manager’s attitude proceeded to further traumatise my daughter. What the staff & owner of this salon do not understand is that the managers failure to handle this situation correctly gives every Essential Beauty store a bad name. Avoid them !! If u don't want your piercing not symetrical
I will give them zero if there is zero. They are not resposible for anything they pierce. They will blame on u. They said u don't come back early to let them know is not symetrical and they don't care ur swollen prevent u to check the symetrical piercing. They just don't care wot ur reason. They always right on everything. U need to paid more. Worst they will force you to buy their product after service. U don't want unhappy result feel horible for the uneven ear pierce then avoid them. Ripped off skin instead of the hair during wax
Had a wax at essential beauty and it was the worst wax I’ve ever had. Literally had the skin ripped off both sides and bruises. My skin was burning and so sore, a week later and the skin is still red and sore. The hairs were just snapped off as there’s is already growing back. Emailed the store and they didn’t even apologise and said they were sorry it wasn’t what I expected. I’ve had to buy products to help reduce the pain and broken skin. Used the contact form on essential beauty twice with no response. Zero recommendation to go to essential beauty.

Should be able to rate zero. Complete waste of money
Tan completely washed off after one day apart from leaving a few minor bronze patches randomly over my body. It has left me looking utterly ridiculous. Beyond disappointing especially after carefully following instructions given

Zero rating - Essential Beauty Mirrabooka
Having been waxed for over 30 years and have never had an experience like this. Missed patches of hair while doing Brazilian. Went over the same area 10 times, whilst still missing hair. Then when she had finished, she asked me to check if she had missed any hair. Couldn’t get out of there quick enough. Let alone how old and dirty the place was.

Can’t give zero star rating go there at your own risk
Went to the Warwick store for an eyebrow and lip wax. The room she took me into was dirty and she left the door open and other staff were coming in and out which I found very unprofessional. She waxed my eyebrows first after she had done then she asked me if I had dry skin and I admitted that it was a little. She told me that she had waxed my skin off and that it was my fault because my skin was dry and I should learn to moisturise more. I had to go to the doctors to get some healing cream to prevent scarring. I contacted Essential Beauty and they asked me to send photos and I did but 10 days later they couldn’t even be bothered to contact me back. All I wanted was an apology and that seems to be too hard. Being ripped off
Bought thick gold nose ring for $100 from essential beauty innaloo it didn’t fit the hole they pierced on a earlier date and they charged me $100 for a $60 gold nose hoop I wouldn’t recommend going there

I went there for a men’s style haircut I was told that the price was $30 he double billed me on my eftpos card I didn’t get a receipt but I found out later on my bank statement I would not advise to go there please check your receipts and bank statements

Eyebrow wax
This is honestly the worst eyebrows I’ve ever had, i went in there asking for thic eyebrows which she didn’t even ask how I wanted them. Then she didn’t put anything on my skin to take away any thing left on my skin. I’ve come out with very thin eyebrows with blotches all over them and been red for 3 days. This lady had glasses on and blonde hair. Never going back.
