Mega Magnesium Ripoff

published

I bought a small (126g) jar of Magnesium powder from Priceline for $29.90. When I opened the jar I discovered that the container will only filled to 25% of its total volume (see the photo below). This is a dreadful example of deceptive packaging. According to the usage directions a scoop is 6.6 g which means that the jar only lasts 19 days or $1.60/day. I would never have bought this product had I known the jar was only 25% full and would cost me $1.60/day

Purchased in November 2021 at Priceline for $29.90.

Has a bunch of extra ingredients

published

I purchased this product for migraine with the distraction of a sales person "helping" me. I just wanted magnesium. But this product also includes a high dose of chromium and various other substances. I don't wish to ingest excess chromium for no reason. No science links chromium and migraine. If the product is a mixture, please state that fact in large font on the front lable. Wouldn't that be "ethical"? Now I'm stuck with 240 useless tabs. Thanks for wasting my cash.

Purchased in March 2021.

Excellent For Insomnia and Anxiety

published

1 scoop of this 1 hour before bed is great for falling asleep and staying asleep longer. Have tried lots of other cheaper magnesium tablets but this one I can notice working. Cant help but fall asleep even though have had trouble particularly with getting to sleep a lot of my life. Wont get rid of anxiety but can minimise its intensity and any decrease is a bonus. Is more expensive but lasts a couple of months and is worth the cost.

It works for me

published

I was being woken with severe calf cramps during the night almost 2 or 3 times a week and was fed up. I used to walk a few kilometres each day but since returning to full time work I sit all day in front of a computer so maybe that plays a part in my calf cramps. I went to my local pharmacy and spoke with my trusted pharmacist that knows me and my medical history. She recommended I try Ethical Nutrients Mega Magnesium Powder. I took my 1st dose on a Sunday night...It is now the following Saturday and I have not had a cramp, not even the beginnings of one. I will continue to use this product until the container is empty and then have a break to see what happens. Will definitely rebuy if I need to.

Aids symptoms of muscle tension & TMJ

published

Tried countless other brands and have returned to this one.
These magnesium supplements were helpful in easing my TMJ (a type of temporomandibular disorder) symptoms & sleep issues. I took 1/2 a pill a day in the interim before I finally found a good dentist who pointed me in the right direction.
I have since then addressed the root cause for my issues and no longer use these as often.

Saving myself from painful night cramps

published

The medicine prescribed by the GP for cramp, caused migraines. I was advised at the Priceline Pharmacy to try Ethical Nutrients Mega Magnesium. I now get right through a good night of sleeping without cramp. At times Priceline has this product reduced in price, making the purchase even better. But even at the full price it is well worthwhile.

I love the product but it tastes like it has an artificial sweetener in it. What is it sweetened with? Do you have an unsweetened alternative?
Thank you.

On the pack it dose say water or juice.. I have put it in juice myself.. so I don’t see why you can not put it in a smoothie. I myself would probably try a juice smoothie

I have had a rash on my face and chest since starting to take this product.
Has anyone else ever had this issue....I’m hoping something else is causing it as it’s the first thing I’ve taken that actually improves my quality of sleep?
