Stainless steel is rusting
Fisher & Paykel dishdrawer EZKleen dishwasher. DD60DAX9
We purchased this dishwasher in August 2022. I really like this dish drawer dishwasher, it looks great in our kitchen and mechanically it still works great.
But the stainless steel Cover now has rust spots. Unfortunately Fisher & Paykel will only replace the stainless steel cover with stainless steel, and I suspect once I have the stainless steel cover replaced, it’ll just rust again. I should really be given a replacement dishdrawer dishwasher that is in black or white to avoid this hap...Read more
pening. I would like to add that I do not live near the sea, I’m in a rural area and there’s only 2 of us here, the dishwasher is not used all the time. It is Always kept dry. I’m not happy that I will have to replace the dishwasher Soon after I paid $1200 for it and I’ve only had it 8 months so far. I wish Fisher & Paykel would do more about this than just replace the cover. It’s not fair. I won’t be buying any more fisher & paykel stainless steel appliances and I do not recommend them to anyone.Purchased in August 2021 at Powerland for A$1,200.00.

Very bad performance
It was very stressful to see Fisher and Paykel dishwasher was not drying, cleaning properly and even leaving soap suds at end of the cycle so I had to use rinse cycle again but still there was soap suds. Happy to get return order though have not received full amount back yet.. Very bad performance for a costly appliance.

Terrible drying for an expensive dishwasher
Purchased this to match my appliances the builder got me but all I have had is disappointment with my F&P dishwasher. Does not wash well, does not dry, plastic interior has stained and looks like it's 10 years old. I had a fault with the dishwasher and because I used tablets they wouldn't repair it under warranty despite it being the electronics. Never again.

Such a great dual idea
Such a great idea having dual washing draws as our family soame times have extra family down meaning more dishes to be washed so we only use the one draw when it's just us but the other draw when we have more to wash saving water and power and easy to stack

No more dishes in the sink
We bought the fisher and paykel double draw dish washer for our new house and couldn’t be happier! It’s very quite in our open plan living room. So convenient to be able to use one drawer at a time or both when needed if entertaining.
The only down side if any is that I needed to buy new chopping boards that would fit.
Two thumbs up.

Love the 2 draws!
Replaced old dishwasher with the dishdraw!
Was a nightmare to install....took hours.
Like the idea of two smaller draws as I was always washing half loads in my old one - as it was full & smelly!
Washes well. Is not loud. Dries dishes as well, really well, which is a bonus!!!

7 month Shelf Life
Had a DD60DAX9 installed 6 months ago to replace a broken original 2007 double dishdrawer (original series) burning itself out and starting a minor electrical fire in both drawers (as I'm renting atm I had no choice but to accept another double dish drawer from Fisher & Paykel in order to keep continuity in the kitchen.
Well already the bottom drawer has an F error message (F messages indicate motor faults) after about 2+ months of the drawer getting louder and louder which error messages occurring more and more often till today the bottom d...Read more
rawer no longer works even after resetting and turning the power on and off at the water constantly. Just like the original version this one too cannot fit any plate over 28cm and even then you won't fit them all in as cup/utensil racks take 1-2cm away from interior space. They're not economical compared to full size dishwashers even though they take up the same amount of space - using double the energy & water consumption (separate motors) and of course TWICE the amount of dishwasher tablets - don't fall for the idea of using each drawer separately - I live by myself and still fill both drawers due to two drawers being about 3/4 the size of a regular dishwasher (the walls and motors and racks take up vital space). As this seems like a rant I apologise but after using two Bosch made in Germany dishwashers in my last two houses I can't believe how loud, energy/water inefficient, how lousy a wash you get with these dish drawers. (stuff still stuck on utensils even though I only use Fairy platinum tablets & HEAVY cycle every time).Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great being able to do a small load. Come out very clean
The dishwasher is not too loud but could be quieter. Great to be able to clean small loads. Perfect for a couple with minimal dishes. The quick cycle cleans very well. The only negative is that if you want to do a full wash you need to use the two drawers so two washing tablets need to be used, so norpt economical in that instance.

Makes life easier
Hands down one of the best purchase of 2017. Two door so very handy for a small family. We usually pack up dinner and next day breakfast and leave it to run next day when the sun is up. So saves well with electricity. Has fast cycle for quick wash.

Unreliable crap.
The dishwasher has failed three times in the last 18 months. 1st time it was the pump. The 2nd time the motherboard and now the top and bottom draws get error messages. If I power on and off at the power board, It works for another day or two.
Fisher & Paykel service is terrible. We had to wait two weeks for a service person to come to replace the mother board. I spent $800 on the first two services. I am not paying for another service and never buying another FP product.
When the washer works it is quiet and works well. Too bad the product is unreliable crap.

Love it
This is the second dish drawer purchased, just renovated and put in another, the two drawings are great to stack and get to and I have found that a half load is all that is needed most of the time. There are quieter ones on the market, however the function of this dishwasher over rights the noise

Perfect for us
This is our second dishdrawer set - the first lasted us at least 9 years of multiple-daily use (1 or 2 parts replaced in the last couple of years). We love being able to split up the load instead of having one big wash so you can run them at different times. It does a great job washing our dishes and looks nice. Controls are straightforward and the cycle is quite quick.

New Model is badly designed
I had an old double dish drawer that I loved and looked after for 18 years, many faults during that time but managed to keep it going with at least one unit working, till it finally gave up its ghost.
The main problem was the electronic panels, but since they were two individual units, when one was playing up, I would rest it, change some parts, and use the second one.
This new unit that I purchased last week (without checking, silly me) have only one panel... What happened to the old and great design, Fisher and Paykel? I am very disappo...Read more
inted and will not be buying another double dish drawer in the future once this one breaks down. I have put up with the old one not cleaning too well because I just loved the old unit, now it is time for a change next time... Also the installer from Octapussy, was quick at installing but no idea nor interest about how the machine works. He just got the "job" done and was out of there... I will be looking for a person who loves his job in the future... And more than happy to pay for that.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

My second two drawer by F and P
Having two draws is perfect for a family. It's stylish, easy to clean and the layout inside suits me. Cleans best with a good brand detergent and occasionally I will need to clean something that was poorly placed by other (or it could have been me. hehe). I do use tablets and place in the cutlery draw. Its not loud and is too easy to use. Love it.

Great for two people
We've had a F&P dishdrawer dishwasher previously and decided to get it again for our new kitchen and it is ideal for two people, also great to have the ability to put the two drawers on at same time when you have a party. The stainless steel finish is easy to look after. It definitely dries plastics better than other dishwashers. Only down side are the flip-down high side shelves, they are positioned much higher than they used to be in our old F&P so don't seem to be able to get many items on them (most are too tall). Other than that, all good with this model, even prefer the new operating panel on the outside, very easy to navigate.

A great dishwasher
I bought this new one to replace an old Fisher & Paykel single door dishwasher and we replaced it with the 2 drawer model. This one dries the dishes completely dry all the time. It is very quiet and easy to program and use. I love the idea of only using one draw. On the rare occasion we have a big meal we can use both drawers simultaneously. The stainless steel finish matches our other appliances. It was very easy to fit into the existing cavity. Just a great idea.

Very impressed and pleased
My first dishwasher ever. Chose the drawer type as I'm single, I'm used to using these ones in workplaces and the family home, and it just made sense. You could do more frequent small washes without guilt. It is the most expensive appliance I've bought, barring the car, and I echo others' sentiment that a lack of competition is a real problem here.
That said, it works well. You can fit most pots and things in, sometimes you need to angle them down or tilt, but so far so good. i'm using Aldi 10 in 1 tablets, and it's interesting how the dish...Read more

Easy use
I use it more than a year. Didn't get any problem with it. Easy to open and load. Not too loud when it operating. Washes well. Very convenient for a small family to wash dishes everyday. I highly recommended for anyone who wants to to buy a new dishwasher in the future.

Genius!
We got this dishwasher recently and so far it has performed fantastically.
I absolutely love the separate drawers and how much easier it is for me to organise me dishes.
The only drawback I would say is that it can emit quite a loud sound when active.
All in all we are quite impressed but time will tell.

Worked well...until it suddenly didn't. Hard to have issue resolved by company
This is the first dishwasher we have ever had. We purchased it as part of a kitchen reno and it started out very well and was pretty quiet. We actually rinsed most dishes before running the machine and almost always only used the top drawer once per day. We were very happy as it washed well and if you allowed the full cycle items came out dry. The machine also didn't smell when opened, like a lot of others I have used in office workplaces etc. All was going very well until it just suddenly stopped a few weeks ago. Rang F&P and the serviceman ca...Read more
me out a week later. He said he didn't have the exact part it needed, due to that part rarely ever having issues, but as he had already fixed one with the same issue that morning he had already used the one part he kept in stock. A week later and another man was sent out to replace the part, but he refused stating that he wasn't willing to take it out of the kitchen in case he damaged cupboards etc. So a week later we have struggled to remove the machine ourselves and are waiting on yet another callout to hopefully fix it. I wouldn't recommend any F&P for this reason, as I don't think customers should be required to remove such installations themselves. Dishwashers are almost always installed into cupboards, so their servicemen should be very confident in performing such tasks when their expensive products break down during warranty periods.Similar opinion? Questions & Answers
Cooking with GASasked
I purchased one and it has broken down with a fused motherboard, both fans and wash controllers and it was only working for two weeks. To fix it would cost over $1000 and I just am so frustrated as I only buy Fisher & Paykel because I've had a dish drawer for the last 15 years, a fridge for 5 years and a washing machine for 4 years. It was bought as a factory refurbished from Lloyds Auction but it has never had work done to it as its brand new with some dents on the front only.

Hello DD60DAX9 have just installed with some new integrated panels and when top drawer finishes cycle and is drying, condensation builds up along bottom of top drawer front and top of bottom drawer front. Enough so a pool forms on the floor at front of machine. This can’t be normal?

I haven't tried it, but once one drawer is going, you press the button to select the other drawer, and then program that and run it.

n the manual, powering off etc and it would go away. Until early December 2018. Wouldn't stop and threw the fault for both drawers. And even if the machine was off, it'd spring to life, beeping and flashing F86. Reported it to F&P before Xmas, and they arranged a service a few days after Xmas, but then phoned to say the service guy was ill. So we made another date. Slightly inconvenient as it affected my plans and those of the family, but these things happen.
