Stainless steel is rusting
Fisher & Paykel dishdrawer EZKleen dishwasher. DD60DAX9
We purchased this dishwasher in August 2022. I really like this dish drawer dishwasher, it looks great in our kitchen and mechanically it still works great.
But the stainless steel Cover now has rust spots. Unfortunately Fisher & Paykel will only replace the stainless steel cover with stainless steel, and I suspect once I have the stainless steel cover replaced, it’ll just rust again. I should really be given a replacement dishdrawer dishwasher that is in black or white to avoid this hap...Read more
pening. I would like to add that I do not live near the sea, I’m in a rural area and there’s only 2 of us here, the dishwasher is not used all the time. It is Always kept dry. I’m not happy that I will have to replace the dishwasher Soon after I paid $1200 for it and I’ve only had it 8 months so far. I wish Fisher & Paykel would do more about this than just replace the cover. It’s not fair. I won’t be buying any more fisher & paykel stainless steel appliances and I do not recommend them to anyone.Purchased in August 2021 at Powerland for $1,200.00.

Will never buy a Dish Drawer again
We purchased a dish drawer as we are on tank water + thought the option to run 1 or both drawers would be economical. Unfortunately this is not the case as you need to have a Phd in how to load the drawer given the very limited room. Very difficult to fit a bread board in the drawer let alone pots + pans when there is already 5-6 cups/glasses plus crockery + cutlery from one meal.
There are only 2 of us in the household but this dish drawer is not adequate for a full day's dishes. Also on occasion the dishes are still dirty at the end of the cycle, and the plastics are never dry, but then we have never owned any dishwasher that does dry plastics.
Purchased in December 2021.

Love this dishwasher!!!
This is the best dishwasher ever! I love that I can have one half loaded and while its washing I can keep loading the other drawer. I don't have to wait for the dishwasher to finish and be unpacked before I can start packing it again. Washes great, drys great. I love the section for the rinse aid with the light telling me when it needs refilling.

This is a terrific dishwasher. It is easy to use and perfect for a small household (like mine) or a larger one.
Dishes are pristine clean every time and they come out nice and dry.

Fisher & Paykel DD60DCX9 Worst Dishdrawer in the Series! The older Version more Reliable!
My mother needed a dishwasher and I felt it was time to upgrade to a new dishwasher, and since I had a great experience with my old F&P Dishdrawer (purchased in 2012/2013) and it was still going strong, I had high hopes for the current version.
However in the 5 months I have had my new dishwasher (purchased late 2022), I have had the worst experience!
- Dirty Dishes (I am very particular how I stack my dishes - They were stacked with perfect spacing)
- Dirty glasses
- When using extra dry mode- Dishes are soaking wet. (Even with rinse aid incl...Read more

Very happy with our dish drawers.
Very happy with the double dish drawers. I don't rinse anything prior to loading, just do a quick scrape if necessary. Doesn't seem to become clogged, I do wash the filter regularly as it's very easy to do. Very easy to use. Care must be taken when loading as if anything slips down the arm won't spin and it won't clean properly - it's a shame that it doesn't sound an alert if the arm isn't spinning properly.

Nice looking integrated dishwasher
We selected this dishwasher to be integrated into our kitchen as part of building our dream home. Upon handover, the bottom drawer was not working and we had to get an F&P tech out to get it fixed. Disappointed that a new dishwasher not being used had an issue and a part had to be replaced. Love the seamless look of the dishwasher and the knock-knock feature to pause the washing. It is a bit noisy though.

Double Draws Work
We purchased this dishwasher 12 months ago. Being an elderly couple we enjoy the fact you can use just one drawer. It is great on power saving and water as well. Ok because the water impeller is on the bottom you need to be careful stacking. Once mastered it cleans a treat. We use a fast wash but add extra dry time. The only problem we have had is a rust problem on the doors, however Fisher and Paykel have been very quick to rectify the problem. They are due to change the drawer covers next week. I will further comment if required after this.

I Never do Reviews... but this dishwasher is the worst thing I've purchased..
I Never do Reviews... but this dishwasher is the worst thing I've purchased, fails to do the one thing its supposed to do. the one arm under the rack fails to get everything clean even with having it understacked and wasting space in a cycl..., never would buy 2 draws system unless you want to have them constantly filled full of half clean dishes and always unstacking. spent $2,100.00 had it 4 months, good chance this thing wont stay in my house much longer..

Do Not Buy This ! Zero!
This is the worst appliance I have ever purchased. Fisher and Paykel we went straight for the innovative drawer option it we have been let down. It has been crumbling like a biscuit and for this not to be covered by warranty is VERY ANNOYING! Every time I touch it a part falls off. The exterior materials are very cheap and I am disgusted with the service I have received. No help whatsoever! Customer service had no idea.....sooooo upsettingggg

So Far So Good
My 16 year old Fisher Paykel (FP) Dishdraw died recently and I was tossing up whether to buy a replacement or buy a Bosch or Miele. After reading the terrible reviews on this site I was very apprehensive about buying a FP product as I know production moved to China, from Aust/NZ where my old one was made. FP are now owned by Haier.
FP offer a financially attractive replacement system for FP owners and I saved around $500 off the retail price incl. delivery and installation, and I really do like the draw system.
I ended up buying the FP Dishd...Read more
raw directly from FP. Took about a week from making contact, and delivery and installation was easy and completed by the delivery people so no need for 2 visits. Now the review, I have had it now for 2 weeks, used both draws 3 or 4 times, and so far the product is very good. Extremely quiet, dishes come out sparking clean, and dry, pretty much everything you want with a dishwasher. The only nervousness is that the bottom and top draws seem not be identical in the cycle process. The difference is in the draining and drying, but as both do a good job, I am not that bothered. The difference in the draining is the top one seems to do one long draining cycle, the bottom one seems to a small drain then stop, drain then stop etc. On the drying, the top ones fan stops about 1 min after cycle has finished, manual says it is normal to continue after the cycle has finished, the bottom ones fan continues drying for about 10 mins after the cycle has finished. Seems a bit strange cycles are not identical but as long as the job is done, I am not worrying about it. We generally rinse our heavily soiled plates before putting them in the dishwasher, just a quick rinse under a tap, we never overfill the dishwasher and we don't use it for plastics or pots and pans.Purchased in August 2021 at Fisher Paykel.

Absolute rubbish
The dishwasher only has one water spinner and that's on the bottom. If you place anything on the top foldout shelves they WON'T be cleaned. A totally bad designed dishwasher.

Another Fisher and Paykel item with quality control issues
Once again I spend top dollar hoping to get a premium appliance, and once again Fisher & Paykel fail to deliver. You would think if you spent over $1900 for their premium range dishwasher they could at least ensure that both drawers are level and not crooked.

Fault from Day 1 & no service
We have this brand new $1,500 dishwasher and it’s had a fault from Day 1 and Fisher & Paykel can’t send anybody to take a look at it for 18 days?!?! Two days off work, one cancelled appointment due to ‘technician illness’. Not good enough. What appalling ‘service’. We do not recommend this dish drawer or Fisher & Paykel’s customer service.

Much Smaller inside than older style
Been using the two drawer for nearly 20 years and have purchased 2 others in this time.
This newer model is much smaller inside than the previous models and it will only clean the dishes properly on the heavy load option. It also doesn’t dry properly all the plastic containers are wet even on the longest drying cycle. My old dishwasher would run on the shortest cycle of 56 mins and be dry at the end. Now it’s running for 160 mins wasting energy just to get dishes clean. Very disappointed this time around F&P bring back the old model I would pay extra to have it .... should have bought a Bosch.

F&P customer service reaches new low
Ordered new F&P dishdrawer. Delivered with damage on front panel. Waited two weeks for technician to show up and fix damaged panel. Technician arrived with incorrect parts. Waited another two weeks for correct parts to be ordered by F&P and then had to rebook another appointment only to be told it would be another two weeks to get the repair done. Complained to NSW F&P service manager but told that’s the best that they can do. Appalling customer care. Been buying F&P products for 16 years but never again.

Good dishwasher, love the drawers
Bought this for my family of 4. It's better than a full size dishwasher because you can fill one drawer then click go, and keep filling the other drawer. With a smaller family, it would take longer to efficiently fill the whole thing - have 3 days of dishes in there.
It cleans well even on the 48 minute cycle, and does everything we expect it to.
Owned for 5 years.

Good product, Great Wash
This is our third F&P Dishdraw, as we have moved a lot.
Great product easy to use and gives a very good wash, even on the ‘fast’ setting.
What we like most is the easy access when loading the dishes.

3rd DD over 18 years. First died, second was pretty good, the new one is a dud.
I love the convenience of the drawers and, after having a non drawer dishwasher for a few months, I went back to a new DD. The new model is just as convenient.
The bads:
- In a Volkswagen diesel-gate like attempt to get a higher energy rating the brand new model does not dry anywhere as well as the old models. Even on extra dry it is only almost as good as the old model. In normal mode everything plastic is still soaking wet. The whole dishwasher is wet after a cycle but most of the plates and glasses are dry. The cutlery is mostly dry. I have...Read more

Questions & Answers
Ben and Alicia Y.asked
Hi, I bought my double dish drawer in November 2022 and have not at all been happy with it. I had an earlier model years ago that was fantastic hence the reason to purchase this one again. I used finish dishwasher tablets in the basket (on tray provided) and found there was often still some of the tablet left after the wash and the dishes were not clean. I have tried different wash cycles and no difference. Top and bottom drawer both the same. I have since changed to finish powder which is better (not usually left over after wash) however quite often the dishes are still dirty. I rinse the dishes well before stacking and do not over stack. I have also cleaned the filters regularly. I am not sure what else to try. Any suggestions? I am so unhappy with this dishwasher.

What would be the recommended dishwasher tablets?

Prefer finish - more reliable than most.
I thought you can only use powder on the double dish draw not tablets or liquid
