Dishwasher fault Bad Bad No service
1. 31-12-2019 Dishwasher stopped working after 11 months.
2. Technician called out to say. Common problem with this model. Easy fix, but despite this F&P did not bring parts. Technician advised he will be back next week with parts.
3. 2 weeks later, no contact from F&P.
4. Tried to call. 2.5 hours hold time. However calls are disconnected before this. F&P effectively uncontactable.
5. Booked a online service call. Received email advising F&P are waiting on parts.
6. 4 Weeks later. No dishwasher. No idea if or when F&P will get back to us. Tried to call. 2.5 hours hold time. However calls are disconnected before this. F&P effectively uncontactable.
Do yourself a favour and buy from another manufacturer.

unbelievable service, and we don't me good.
Ordered a spare part and a technician to put it in. Time between 12 and 5. technician arrived at 9am and had the wrong spare part.
Agreed another time. 2 days later.Was texted that the spare part was not yet available. next day the tech. arrived, outside the correct time again, with the correct part. It was fitted, end of story.
1 week later, today, another text message that an appointment has been scheduled in 2 days.
All this and every phone call I made required holding on for over 1 hour.
You really need to get your act together, I will never buy anything from you again in case it breaks down, under guarantee or not, as goodness knows when it would be fixed.

Email support fail
We bought a second hand F&P RF601A fridge on Gumtree. After about a week it started beeping and showing an error code on the display. 25/11 I used the email support form on the F&P site asking for help and received an auto reply saying F&P support would respond in 24 hours. 29/11, with no response, and the freezer starting to not freeze, I emailed again. Again no response.
20/11 we smelt a toxic burning smell and found the fridge had caught fire. We lost everything in the fridge and freezer for Xmas. Even the food sealed in Tupperware, was tainted. Luckily we were home to put the fire out, so we didn’t lose the house. Lesson learned, don’t ignore faults or lack of customer support.

Ridiculously Terrible Service
Had a F & P fridge 25 years ago and quality and service was great, not anymore. Been waiting 3 weeks to get parts to fix my fridge so i tried to enquire by phone about when i would get it fixed and gave up after 45 minutes wait. Tried again the next day and another hour and 15 minutes later still no joy. You guys need more people staffing your call centre.

faulty fridge
purchased a fridge in may 2022 it stopped working after 1 week lost all the food FP replaced the whole fridge after 1 week .
The new fridge failed in December 30 2022 lost another load of food same problem
tech told me the controller was not compatible with the compressor that was in the fridge and that FP had out out a bulletin in October 2022 warning them about this .
Tech said he would return in a couple of days with new controller has not come back
FP representative rang said he would be back yesterday has not been back
tried ringing gave up after 25 min on hold and sent email awaiting reply

Fisher and oh no you better don't!
To call what Fisher & Paykel offer Customer Service is a stretch. In July my tumble dryer wasn't working, it took them a month to get someone out to fix it. They did and it would heat up but then the drum stopped moving by October. Calling them at the end of October took another month to get them out and I spent the morning of my birthday waiting for them to show up only to tell me that A: The technician was told that my issue was completely different what I had told the "Customer Service" advisor. Worst customer service terrible products
Terrible customer service. BOTH of my Fischer and paykel brand new items needed repairing within the first few weeks. Customer service beyond shocking. My beautiful new kitchen has not functioned, would NEVER buy Fischer and Paykel again.

Don't bother.
Bought a house with an existing Fisher and Paykel dishwasher installed and moved in December 2022. Before we moved in, the vendor had F&P carry out repairs on both drawers. Within the first week of us living in the property, the dishwasher failed again with the same error (draw lids not closing properly).

There was a lot of speculation on their behalf of what could happen with the product: they were committed to sorting it out as the dishwasher was only 3 years old, and they are a reputable brand. According to the service analyst, the issue would be escalated to a senior technical manager who would review it and possibly send out a senior technician to look at the dishwasher, and then they may end up replacing the dishwasher, but it wouldn't be an upgrade because it was a top of the line model, so there might be some difficulties sourcing a one-for-one replacement... Honestly, after hearing all of this speculation, I had to remind them of one thing: I just need a working dishwasher. I put it to them that I can go to a local retailer, order a new dishwasher that is NOT Fisher and Paykel, have it installed and working before even hearing from Fisher and Paykel again. I asked them to prove me wrong. Welp. It's 15 January 2020. My new Miele is happily installed and doing my dishes nightly. I still haven't heard from Fisher and Paykel. Appalling Customer service
This is our 2nd Fisher and paykel fridge as they replaced the first due to not being able to fix it and now not even a year and our second fridge is playing up.. I've been listening to the automation response about how they will endeavor to keep my time on hold to a minimum now for 2hrs 40mins and still waiting.. all our appliances are F &P. We won't be buying from them again!!!!!! Shocking service and unreliable products!!!!

Once upon a time, their products were well made, now .....
I have an F &P fridge, compressor went after 4 years; they would change it under warranty for $300 (go figure that out); long story short, when they returned the fridge it was full of dents ...that was in June 2022 .. they still have the fridge, they don't respond to emails, they promise to ring but don't; stay right away from them is my advice.

The only good reviews are those that dont need help
You'll be in for a world of hurt and time wasted if you ever run into problems with their products.
Was on hold for 40 mins and 3(ONGOING) hours the second time. On their website it has a timer to show how long it will take to pick up the call. Well, when its taking a bit too long, they remove the actual timer and just say "sorry! we're experiencing high volumes".
Some woman called [name removed] was trying to ""help"" me in their online help chat and said she would send me an email to request photos. Never sent the email.
Avoid at all cost.

Why I love Fisher and Paykel
I bought my Fisher & Paykel smartdrive 703 mid 1990s and it still works like a dream!
It washes beautifully, spin dries clothes nearly dry to touch, and I'm grateful that after 20 + years this machine had been used by different members of my family and has now come back to me again.

Horrendous Customer Service
What a disappointment. The customer service from Fisher & Paykel was just awful. On hold for over one and a half hours, they were not interested in fixing my 2 week brand new washing machine, asked for me to find my own servicer as I live in Airlie Beach.
I will never buy another product from this company.

Faulty oven
Will never buy Fisher Paykel goods again Their service centre is non existent I hVe been without a oven for nearly 3 weeks a pall over Xmas period Service man who came initially nearly glanced at stove and said he had to a part from Sydney He was rude and not helpful in any way Repeated phone calls to the service centre yielded promises BUT NO ACTION
Finally came Dec 30 and after all this time was found to be a faulty wire and was not connected to the supposed part All this time and $210 out of pocket stove works and could have fibed at initial call out letters of complaint are not read and are returned to writer yet this was the address given to me by service attendant

Website and phones lines is absolutely lying about call wait time. Website states longest is 6min and call said 12 min, well I was on wait for 47 min 2 nights in a row and ended up hanging up. Then on the third time when someone finally answered the call they hang up straight away after being on hold for 34min. Call back option does not work at all. She did not even attempt to call back! Will never buy their products again because customer service is VERY POOR!!

Will never buy Fisher & Paykel again
My F&P fridge stopped working after 2.5 years. Contacted customer service, was told a technician needs to be sent to diagnose the problem at our cost but repairs should be covered by warranty. Fine, we choose to do that. About $120 later told that the compressor is ceased and now told warranty will cover the cost of a new compressor only, not the labour to repair. Estimated costs were in the $300 range. Was then told because we bought at auction, warranty is void and we will have to pay for compressor too, about $500. These pirates were quoting around $1k to fix a fridge that is only 2.5 years old. My husband kicked that fridge off a ledge and we bought a secondhand samsung for $150 which is running perfectly. Customer service is also horrendous with the call centre based in NZ, I wasted about 6 hours of my life on hold across 3 calls. Online services didn't work either. Lost the plot
Well, after being goaded into an upgrade rather than a fix we get the latest & greatest model dishdrawer that doesn't even fit the dishes the one before did, and then the installer left it not flush but also tipping out if you open a loaded draw! wth! F&P, when does your patent protection run out so I can get dishdrawers from someone more reputable?

Bought a beautiful Fisher and Paykel fridge in January 2022 but in November it started making frequent clunking noises. The first technician said he'd never heard anything like it in 30 years and couldn't fix it, the second said it was a fairly common complaint but not a fault so there was nothing to fix. o get the service management to call me Monday to arrange something more urgently. On Monday morning I had a missed call from a Brisbane number (I live in Perth), but no message was left. I found out via a Google search it was F&P so called back, waited 15 minutes then left my number for a call back. Apparently, at the time of their call, there was a technician around the corner who was now (a mere 30 minutes later) no longer available. Every other company I have needed for service gets the local technician to call via their mobile so it is possible to communicate with them. I was given NO warning that the technician was nearby or even available! Now I have to wait another 4 days with a faulty fridge that I'll have to turn off. The system for service is ridiculously impractical and, even if you can get someone out, they give a 5 hour window, much greater than service calls I've had from other companies.Similar opinion? If I could give less stars I would
I will start by saying I have been a loyal Fisher and Paykel purchaser for over 20 years. Fisher and Paykel used to be amazing but now greed and overseas supplies have completely ruined this brand. I have a washing machine that is 2 months out of warranty and the pump filter (which is a flimsy plastic piece) broke. I thought no worries, that will be a cheap enough part to get and fix. their customer service and all they say is "you will need to pay $130 plus GST for a tech to come out and have a look"... really? for a part that is meant to be pulled out and checked by the end user? Also it has been repaired under warranty 3 times for various sensor issues over the past 2 years. On top of this I was told by another spare parts supplier all the Part codes for this machine are Haier part codes! so not only did I pay top dollar for this hunk of junk but to find out I could have basically got the same machine at the same quality for a few hundred dollars cheaper has done it for me! We have the Fisher Paykel DishDraw DD60 purchased October 2018. Over the course of the following 12 months, we had constant issues with the bottom draw starting automatically, often when the draw was empty. Four service calls later, the entire unit was replaced. So we have a brand new unit but we are still having issues with the bottom draw starting automatically. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

Hi there, my issue is with their range hood that keep switching off. Their service centre is appalling. Very long waiting times, 45min Plus. We have just replaced it with another brand and is in the process of getting all Fisher & Paykel appliances out of our house. Never want to deal with them again.

I understand that even the best products can have issues which is why warranties exist however when you have dreadful customer service it is impossible to recommend this company.
I have absolutely nothing good to say about them. When you try to call their customer care line to explain your terrible experience....it's a 30 minute wait....forget it. Give them a big miss!!!
