Hi, I have a Wash Smart 7kg washing machine (Model: WA70T60GW1) which has worked fine for some time however it now won't progress to the Rinse cycle. I have tried all the recommended fixes to no avail. I am continually getting three lights when it stops, the middle light on the wash cycle (light 3 of 5), the first light of the Rinse Cycle (from Left) and the Spin Cycle light (only one). Does anyone know what it means?

Why does my washer start filling with water then cuts off the cold water, while the hot comes through at a trickle? After a few seconds the water comes back on. It does this till it's filled. Very frustrating as it's takes forever to get going! This washer is three months old and a replacement for the first one which would not fill at all.

Hot tap not working or hot valve not opening fully.
Both taps work fine, just not with this washing machine. My old Fisher and Paykel was 16 years old when it died and it's replacement is a big disappointment. Valves have been changed with the same issue.
Thanks for your reply!

Suspension rods. ordered as a set
Can be ordered from f&p spares.
Anyone with logical mechanical experience can work out how to replace, or f&p technician.

Is there a filter on this machine if so where is it?
2 answers
No not to my knowledge.
The whole of the outside of the inner drum is the filter - it is self cleaning

My parents have a Fisher & Paykel 7kg WA70T60GW1 product 92129-A AA and the spin cycle just stops after a short period of time. It is not overloaded and does this on each level Auto - small load. Any suggestions?

Is water coming out of drain hose on spin cycle, if not then washer times out after 2 mins because it has not drained.
It's all fixed thank you. It was a faulty board issue that required to be replaced.
I seem to have the exact problem. Water drains well out of drum at end of wash cycle. As it starts spin cycle, the lid locks, it starts to spin, then...it stops and lights go off. After 10 second the lights come again on and machine tries to repeat the spin, but exact same thing happens.

My WA70T60GW1 top loader stopped working, started with water starting to fill then stopping and then starting again and continued to do this, but now water has stopped altogether and the first 3 green lights on the wash cycle stay on and the machine continually gets the warning beep. I have checked hose filters, and all the connections but still have problem anyone have any ideas?

The first 3 green lights is error code 224.
Faulty communication between controller and motor - replace controller.

Hi Guys
I have a WA70T60GW1 F&P Toploader. The machine filled up to commence a cycle and just turned off. The power button would not turn the machine on. So I checked there was power available at the socket outlet and the mains plug to the Motor Controller. All good. Checked the 4A fuse on the PCB and that's all good. The unit still won't turn on. I've checked motor resistance (approx 40 ohms), pump resistance (approx 92 ohms), lid lock resistance (approx 65 ohms) and water valves (approx 58 ohms). Does anyone have any input?

I had the same issue and had to replace the PCB and then it worked.
I haven't found what caused the fault for the PCB to Fail. Did you find what the actual ohms are supposed to be for all of the components or is that what you measured?
hi to the first question, did you get yours fixed, was it the PCB? having same issue

Water does not stop when lid is raised - also machine clunking somewhat on each top up.
Any suggestions?

Hey Denis,
The water isn’t meant to stop when the lid is raised, it’s not a feature this machine has. You basically just have to press the pause button to stop the water running.
Do you mean the detergent is clunking inside the agitator with each wash?
If so, I usually give the inside of the agitator a clean. When a technician came out he gave me some tips on how to clean the machine. Since it doesn’t have a self-clean option he set up a cycle and saved it on the “favourites” button.
Basically the cycle is selecting ‘heavy duty / soak / hot / high / fast’ And then you tip in a bottle of ‘finish - dishwasher cleaner’ also take off the lid on top of the agitator that holds the fabric softener, undo it as it is two parts in one, and throw both pieces inside the actual machine and just let the cycle run.
This usually cleans it pretty well, you should do this every season so 4 times in the year.
Although this cleans it pretty well I am a little bit of a clean freak so after the cycle I usually take off the agitator and unscrew it out of the drum (you will see a screw inside the agitator) and then I scrape off the scum with a knife, it takes a long time but it has to be done.
Hope this helps!
It is normal for the machine to clunk when filling.
The motor is sensing whether the drum has disconnected from the agitator.
I keeps going clunk till drum disconnects, then start the wash cycle.

Hello !
My washing machine seems stuck, after a power surge. I had started a program, it started to take water. Unsure if it was finished filling. When I turn power on, there’s a constant beep. The lights from the left are constantly on, the orange + two more. I can hear a tiny tick tick tick from inside the machine. When I press Start/Pause button, beeps disappear. The tick tick tick from inside keeps going. When I press the Power button, the beeps are back. Both hot water is turned on from the wall, taps open. I have emptied the machine by hand. I’m running out of ideas. Can someone help me please. Cheers, Ronnie
