Garuda Indonesia

I paid extra to fly Garuda as I have problem with my knee and am unable to go up stairs, and it is problematic going down stairs. On a way to Denpasar I was seated in emergency seat which did not recline at all and the seat in front was broken and permanently in reclined position. I could not even open the tray.i was finally offered another seat.
Upon arrival in Denpasar I had to take stairs downTo the bus and as a result had difficulty walking for days.

I have become so disappointed with Garuda. They have been my airline of choice for my three times a year trips for so long and I have been happy to pay the extra fare for the comfort of the planes and the better service but that ends now. Once we lost the A330, the planes have been so old and cramped and the service is lacking. You now dont know if you will be flying on a 737 or a prop jet which is meant for regional service. I felt discriminated against by Garuda on 2 flights recently between Australia and Indonesia. I was unable to purchase any non-alcoholic beverages. For a company representing the largest Muslim nation in the world this is unacceptable. There was plenty of beer, wine and spirits available however.

We have flown with Garuda for many years now. We have just come back from Bali 10th to the 19th November 2022 and both flights were the worst we have experienced with Garuda. The plane is small and old with seats cramped and old. The staff were ok going but on the way back did not really care. The food was Cold and the drinks were all Warm. In fact I returned my beer to them as it was so warm. On the 20 October we flew out from Perth to Bali, staff at Perth airport were fantastic,plane was old and very cramped,arriving at Bali, my wife who uses a wheelchair was asked to walk down very steep steps,she really struggled,when we eventually got down them we were asked to get on a bus with very high steps,once again we struggled, on our return on the 30 October, we were useing a lift to get us on to plain as was 4 other people,we were given half a cup of warm apple juice, not nice, we got a small amount of warm wine with our meal, umm, w...Read more

Flew out of Perth to Bali on the 25th October on a packed plane. We sat 3 rows from the back so when everyone went to the toilet they queued past where we were sitting and you got bumped all the time even with the trolly because the isle was so narrow. The breakfast was crap as the omelette was like eating cardboard and the fruit juice was warm. The in house entertainment was crap. We booked flights from Perth to Bali for August-September 2022 flying economy but paid an extra $225 each to have exit row seats for more leg room as Garuda was using an old small plane.
On both flights cabin crew allowed some passengers to move to exit row seats which made me furious as why they allow that when we had to pay $450 extra for the 2 of us for return flights.
I have made a formal complaint and asked for a refund of the extra $450 We paid.

We have just completed our journey from Perth – Denpasar return, and must say that I was disgusted with the flight and service.

We have travelled many times with Garuda and they have always been our airline of choice, however, after this last journey, I am not sure that we will ever travel with you again.
