Best Antiseptic Cream in the World
I have been using this cream for over 40 years and do not use any other antiseptic cream. I used it on my face sometime if it is dry, cuts, bites anything you need antiseptic for. You will not be sorry if you get this, everything my friends gone to the UK I asked them to get me about 4 or 5 Germolene so I always have it in the house, all my family use this and will continue to use it.

must have item in your first aid kit
This ointment can be used for all miner injuries, I used it when I lived in the UK and my mother used it all the time on myself and sisters. Smells nice and not too greasy like some other brands of antiseptic creams.

Miracle cream
My Sisters and I visited our Mother in the nursing home yesterday,Mum has dementia and can not communicate at all.We heard Mum yelling out in pain from all the way down the corridor and raced to her ward.Mum was sitting in the TV room with a blanket over her and her face was contorted with pain.I took the blanket off her lap as it was very warm and Mum was covered in ants which were biting her for a long time due to the redness and swelling.We were distraught and called for the nurses.Mums arm was so red it looked like it was painted and her ba...Read more
ck was covered in welts.There were thousands and thousands of ants all over Mum, we stripped her down and withing minutes gotten rid of the ants.The nurses rubbed sorbolene cream all over her but she continued to scream in pain which was obvious the sorbolene was doing nothing for the pain.I called out "OMG I have Germolene in my hand bag which has a local anaesthetic". I slapped it on her arm and back where she was bitten and Mum began to say "ahhh,ooooh" and did a shimmy motion meaning she was happy, It worked THAT FAST !! We took photos to record the incident and lucky we did as the head nurse came in saying she was told of the situation and wished to see Mums arm and back.The nurse noted Mum looked content and was smiling,she looked at Mums arm which looked normal,there was no redness and Mums back had settled right down as well.She made a comment inferring we had exaggerated although the first nurses were visibly upset and wrote in the report of the effects from the ants. Didn't she shut up when we showed her the photos from only 30 minutes ago.We told her it was obvious the cream Germolene worked a miracle and not only took the inflammation away but the pain and we wished Mum to be monitored after we had gone home.They said they had not seen this cream before and I told them I purchased it online from the UK shipped to Sydney and I take it everywhere.I have many other incidences I can write about where Germoline has worked wonders but this by far was the most traumatic for me.I purchased 18 tubes and gave it to my Sisters and my 5 children.My Sisters after yesterday said they will go home and take it out of the bottom drawer as they had no idea how good it worked......Mum was fine when we left.Similar opinion? The perfect ointment. From 'way back'.
I an 79 years old. When I was very young my mother used Germolene Ointment in the UK. I have used the same in Australia & it is without doubt the most effective antiseptic ointment on the market. I wouldn't use any other. Nothing else comes close.

I first met Germolene when I was a boy in Cornwall, UK, about 80 years ago. It was the only antiseptic ointment used in our family because of its gentle soothing on the wound and for its swift antiseptic qualities. Later, in 1958, when I brought my wife and three young children as migrants to Australia, Germolene was in our first Aid kit. Each time I have visited UK there has always been more tubes of Germolene for my family members and for a couple of my neighbours (who have been won over). Here we call it the the "Magic Ointment". Gentle, soothing and effective --- what more could be wished for?
It does what it is intended to do and does it gently

Hi Linda,
To the best of my knowledge this is not available in Australia, it can be ourchased from the UK but unless you buy bulk it is exoensive, however I have found another product which is available in Australia called McGloins body plus anticeptic cream (was known as Ayrton's) and it is the same as the ointment but a cream. Check ebay for prices. It is available for depatch from Melboune 1 for $15.60 or 6 for $54.50 free postage. Hope this helps.
