Fantastic Laptop with very little drawbacks
This laptop is all round fantastic. The battery life as claimed lasts all day, especially if under-volting the CPU, regularly lasting up to 9-10 hours use. The screen is beautiful with its thin bezels, amazing colour accuracy and smooth high refresh rate. It is thin and light and very well built. The only criticism i can make is that the keyboard takes a while to get used to and occasionally i find it skipping a key press. Other than that its great and the RGB lighting is fantastic.

Best laptop for gaming and engineering
I bought this laptop as a replacement for my gaming rig but with also engineering and a professional career in mind. It is a light, stylish and professional device which also has huge power under the hood. Highly recommended for young professionals with productivity and gaming in mind. Battery life is also all day which is superb.

Best laptop I could have chosen
Hands down the best laptop I have ever owned. Performs perfectly in any situation and the colors produced by the Pantone Certified Display are incredible when it comes to editing in Lightroom. Would recommend to a friend. The laptop also looks great and not like a typical gaming laptop, so is suitable for business use as well.

Really good but there are some issues that bothers me
I've had this laptop for about a month now. After using it for both work and gaming, I can deduce that:
Pros:
- High clock speed
- Decent thermals after undervolting
- Doesn't really throttle
- Great screen
- Great gaming performance
Cons: ...Read more
- ELAN driver touchpad not very accurate (can be easily upgraded to Windows Precision Drivers) - Keyboard feels a bit hard when pressing down especially when typing up a long essay. For gaming it is somewhat alright - If used on battery, laptop runs really slowly (very low clock speed) unless put on high performance mode which then drains the battery within a few hours.Similar opinion? Perfect Laptop for Work and Game
Bought the Aero 15w (GTX1060) because of my Rxxxx Bxxxx broke down after 1.5 YEARS and repair cost over 500 SGD which is ridiculous.
Aero 15 is light to carry around for work and powerful enough for most of the game. Glad that they include 1 16gb of Ram so I could place another 16gb of Ram in another slot. Also, they include an SD slot which makes me convenient whenever I want to move my pics from my camera to the laptop. Overall, the best laptop so far don't have to go to other brands.

Perfect Laptop, but...
I like the design of Gigabyte Aero 15 / 15x. The design doesn't scream "Gaming Laptop", I can say this is the "Sleeper" laptop. But, there's few things that I don't like. Firstly, the fans are super noisy. sometimes of you charge the laptop, the fans are kicks in even only 24% CPU usage. The hinge is not the strongest. Personally, I'd better to have stiffer hinge andd opening the laptop with 2 hands instead have weak hinge and opening the laptop with one hand. The stiffer hinge could warrant the laptop hinge to be able to handle more stress. Th...Read more
e speakers are weak. even they installed Dolby Atmos, I could say it useless. Lastly, the BSOD. This laptop is more often to experiencing BSOD even wake up from sleep. The cause mostly because of the video card driver. Just make sure the video card driver i compatible and up to date and you'll be safe. Couple things that I wonder, that's would be great if Gigabyte apply the fingerprint sensor on the power button and would greater if gigabyte give windows hello option that could be integrated beside the front camera.Similar opinion? Best in class for powerful but portable laptops
I spent a good deal of time trying to decide on a laptop when buying this. At the beginning I didn't know exactly what I wanted, but as I looked in to what laptops are currently available, the Gigabyte Aero 15X seemed to be the best choice for what I decided I wanted in a laptop. It's main competitors currently would be the likes of the MSI GS65, the Asus ROG Zephyrus, and the new Razer Blade 15, and Gigabyte has it where it counts compared to those. It has the best battery life for one, boasting up to 10 hours, and I'm betting it could go long...Read more
er if optimised for it (I've tried seeing how long a full charge lasts, and that number seems accurate). One thing about the battery though is that the performance does drop quite severely when performing heavier tasks (Which is mostly to be expected). The keyboard is good, and the touchpad is fine. It is relatively easy to upgrade which makes it better for people who plan to keep it upgraded. Its gaming performance seems to be very good. I've only tested it a little so far, but it seems more than adequate, and I am confident in its ability to play all the latest games for a long time. It's well built, and feels very solid. The out of the box experience is good for the most part, but I did have some trouble with windows, but that isn't a problem related to the Aero itself. Out of its direct competitors, only the Razer Blade 15 seems to compete in terms of overall performance, but it is also costs significantly more for comparable parts. Overall it's a fantastic laptop, and I'd argue the best in its class right now, and if you're looking for a light, portable, but powerful laptop, the Aero 15X will definitely have you covered.Similar opinion? Perfect laptop with one hole
I purchase the new Aero 15X 2018. The laptop is the perfect laptop between gaming and studying. The processor is hardcore, the keyboard is at it's sweet spot, the edge display, the 144hz display, the RGB keyboard lighting and with all that ports, not to mention the available spot for the m.2 slot and upgradable ram to 32 with a single channel of 16GB ram (sweeeeet). Yet, there seems to be a little problem and a dislike from my experience. The first laptop's charger was defected and now the second laptop just arrived 3 days ago and I'm still tes...Read more
ting yet, I found an uneven RGB light on my keyboard. The right shift seems to be a little off with the light, seems like a bit dark compared to another and it always bug me even though it isnt that big a deal but I mean come on, I pay 3300AUD on this thing and I want the premium, at least dell xps 15 premium-feel alike. Moreover, the trackpad is just horrible, as a previous mac user I am really disappointed in the Elan driver trackpad. I mean the trackpad itself isnt bad but the software just make it worse. There is a lack latency every time I open a software.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

AERO 15X (i7-8750H) - The Sweet Spot
I've been patiently waiting for an 8th Gen Intel laptop. This was one of the first reviewed and I took a punt as the specs matched my needs. I use "gaming" laptops as my main work device and have gone through many Alienware and Clevo machines - all good, but all with compromises. The 2018 Gigabyte Aero 15X is the closest I have come to "my" perfect laptop, balancing power and portability. The PCMark10 and 3DMark benchmarks were both a couple of hundred points better than those reported on notebookcheck.net. The 8750H is noticeably faster than t...Read more
he 7700HQ in general use. I was initially reluctant to go with a Max-Q GPU, but my fears were unfounded as I was getting 60fps in The Witcher 3 on ultra settings at 1080p. Speaking from experience, noise and temperature do not present any problems and the fans behave themselves across all loads. Best of all, I had a whole day of work use on battery. I'm accustomed to getting two to three hours maximum, which meant I rarely took my laptop on day flights to Sydney. Not any more. It's also about half the weight and thickness of my last 15.6" laptop and suitably subtle. After about 80 hours of use, the only possibly valid concern is the webcam positioning. However, I knew this before purchase and it won't stop me doing any business VCs. If you're worried about keyboard chattering, the issue has been fixed. This device is categorically the best work laptop I've had, with the added bonus of being able to cope with any games I can throw at it.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great speed with the SSD
Bought a Sabre 15 with NVIDIA graphic, 250GB SSD and a 1TB hard drive. SO far its been great although a little bit heavy at 2.3kg. Keyboard took a bit of getting used too as it doesn't have a lot of feedback. The start ups are fantastic with the SSD, only takes 8-10secs to get going. For $1800 for a top rated laptop is fantastic.

Slim, fast and powerful.
An absolutely amazing laptop that boasts a long battery life, slim profile, GTX 1070 Max-Q graphic card and vivid display. If you're looking for a gaming laptop to carry around with you, the Gigabyte Aero 15X is a fine choice with the only downside being that it can get very hot underneath and the fans become loud when the PC is under heavy load.

Perfect multipurpose laptop for school and gaming!
I just received the laptop a few days ago and I've been having so much fun with it! Its light, beautiful to see and can pack a punch for gaming. With the 1060 Graphic Card, I can play most games like PUBG without any problems. It is also awfully quiet compared to my past laptop which was a Sager. I believe that this has to be the best laptop out there with its components. To me, the bezzle-less design makes this laptop the sleekest I've seen so far.
