Almost ten years
I buy off all major auction sites but Graysonline is the best. Excellent WEB site and product description and details, easy pick up or delivery. I have never had a problem and found all staff dealings to be very helpful. I believe that all auction site wether online/live or agricultural type it is the bidders responsibility to check before bidding it your prerogative!

Vehicle Purchase
I purchased a Ford Mondeo, 2014, 108kms, I didnt inspect because of Covid 19, I relied heavily on their description, it was totally in accurate and untrue, it was deceitful to say the least, I buy and sell used vehicles but will never use the outfit again, be very wary of them.

Warning!!!! Scammers!!!! Do not buy from graysonline!!!!
I have done extensive work to find out that Graysonline sell cars that need thousands of $ spent to have in working condition. They market to members of the trade to have the car in starting condition and they will sell the problem - to unsuspecting people in the community. I have bought a car which needs a whole new transmission which is $4500 worth of work - I paid less for the car! I then spoke to a mechanic who had sold a car to Graysonline knowing that the electrics were not working in the car and needed $8-10,000 spent on the car - whi...Read more
ch was worth and sold for $7,000. He said warned me that they are scammers. I also spoke to a wholesaler who says that he sends cars to graysonline instead of the junk yard! I spoke to a Dealer who said the same thing. Everyone I have spoken to in the MV trade (around 30) have had scathing things to say about them and warned under no circumstances to buy from them. they have offered me to resell the car through them so that I don't lose as much money, but I don't feel comfortable scamming someone else like that!Similar opinion? Very suspicious of grays online auctions
Last night I was bidding on a car in Pinkenba,, 2 minutes before auction for this car closed someone else placed a bid, this person had not shown previous interest, we were bidding for about half an hour, I placed my last bid and 9 minutes later the other bidder placed a bid, before I had time to bid again the auction had closed for this vehicle approximately 4 minutes after last bid, which was very confusing.
If I was the owner of this car I would be very upset because I know that I was, I was willing to go another $1000 for this car.

Grays is a unscrupulous auction site
Having placed several bids last night (at what the page told me the value of the bids were), every time I placed that bid, it would come back immediately at 'you have been outbid'. I would return to the main screen and lo and behold, it was at the price that was lower than my bid. So, tonight, just before the auction concluded, it was at $369 and when I went to place the bid, I was told it was $429 and again, I return to the home screen and it was $369................ I am extremely disappointed that such unscrupulous behaviour is still allowed and Grays should come under the scrutiny of the ACCC. If this is how Grays Online operate, I would preferably not deal with them again.

Great Pirt
I buy the Port for my son.
He said it’s great value and it tastes great! Enjoys the flavour and says it’s tastes like Christmas. When it is on line I try to get in quick to buy it.

RIP OFF
Purchased 7 x Big Screen TV's for $1300+ and none of them came with remotes or power leads. In the end it didn't matter as I had to throw out 6 of them due to cracked screens. The one that did work, lasted 6 days and then wouldn't turn on, so that went in the bin as well. What a total rip off. Complete joke!

50% markup in fees and charges after winning bids
I bid on 3 cases of wines (6 packs) for a total of $200 - all from the same winemaker. The buyers premium and delivery costs added another $100 to the price, so in the end the per bottle cost was not such a bargain after all - and I guess that all goes to GraysOnline rather than the Winemaker.
Following this last purchase I'll be closing my account (which I already requested but so far no reply) and refusing any future marketing calls (which they do almost every other fortnight) . .
NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER :(

Avoid buying cars off them at all costs
Son bought BMW off them, supposedly full service history with 133 000ks on the clock, drove it 15 mins down the road and timing chain let go. $4500 to replace with 2nd hand engine. Woman in office claims we didn't get a mechanic to inspect so our fault. They wont let you drive them, so go figure. Do not buy from them, rip offs!!!

Winning once again
Once again I have purchased a vehicle from Grays. This time I purchased by only reading the description online. I didn't physically site the vehicle until picking it up. Description was accurate and the experience from using the app to bid then meeting and dealing with the staff onsite was excellent.
I have purchased through Grays before and will definetely be bidding again!

2 orders. 2 incidents. Misleading, Deceptive Conduct.
My family has ordered hundreds of cases of wine from Grays. It used to be good, however the last two orders have gone awry and I'm very disappointed in their customer support.
The first issue was that they delivered my package to the wrong address (apartment block next door, as confirmed by the delivery driver that they made a mistake). My neighbour refused to return this initially, then later denied receiving it at all. Grays showed me a signed receipt of delivery and said that proves I received it and declined to help - even after I explaine...Read more
d it is not my signature. I escalated with Australia Post, who suggested Grays should add me to the dispute so I could comment / have transparency on the resolution. They refused to acknowledge this request despite repeated requests. I was finally able to resolve it by making a dispute with my credit card provider. Shocking customer service. The second issue was an order from this month. I purchased a case of wine they recommended would be good to drink until 2023. I opened it when it arrived, and unfortunately it has turned brown with a strong taste of vinegar. The wine has objectively gone bad. However they have refused to accept a return. In fact they didn't even offer to refund their "buyers premium" (which is their fee on top of what you are actually paying for the wine itself). It is a shame that after many years and hundreds of cases they have fallen so hard from grace. However given their miseading and unethical conduct, if they don't resolve this latest issue I have no choice but to stop being a customer. Seems pretty short sighted given how many thousands of dollars we've spend with them over the years.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

False description on a vehicle I purchased
I bought a truck from GraysOnline auction and they gave a description of the truck where it said it was a tipper truck but when I went to register the truck with VicRoads the truck had never been registered as a tipper before and never had proper engineering done. They also said the condition of the undercarriage/chassis was fair but it was completely rusted and not repairable. Do not trust this organisation they will lie and cheat to make money!!! They have sold a stolen vehicle and did not take the vehicle back because they claim it’s the buyers responsibility to check.

Product misleading
Buyer beware. Purchased pearls which were advertised as fine jewellery. Paid a hefty sum, $300+. On receipt they are cheap and nasty, not presented in a box, and have since found them on eBay, same picture, for $29.

Buyer Beware of Grays Fine Wine Auctions
Grays conducted a Fine Wine Auction, on 7 April and promoted the sale of the Mount Avoca Premium label Shiraz (Old Vine Shiraz) which retails for $38, and delivered a lesser quality Mount Avoca wine to me as the winning bidder. They have not responded to my complaints. At each subsequent Fine Wine Auction on 9 April and 13 April, they have illustrated the premium label of this wine and I suspect delivered the lower label of this wine - buyer beware.

Graysonline Debt collectors
Has anyone had debt collectors sent from graysonline due to not paying for a win auction? If so what didn’t you pay for as I feel they try and hide facts on a lot of there items than force you to pay with scare tactics.

re; graysonline
my son bidded on grays for a car and he won, price 7000, i am shocked and no way afford it, grays online said i must pay 30% of the price and plus all difference if car to be re auctioned, say the final price is less. If i dont pay they will take legal action against me. I really do not know what to do. Has anyone been in similar situation with Grays.? and Hows the ending? is it even legal what they are trying to do to me? any advice will be highly apprciated.
1 answer
Yes it's legal unfortunately, however i would doubt they would chase legally for an amount below 10k as not really worth their chaeges especially with an already poor reputation, dont think they would want to go to court. I may be wrong though. Good luck

I have brought a car from Grays online they advertised it with 97,000 on the clock I’ve got at home it’s got a blown engine which was not disclosed all they said is it was running after doing a revs check it had 118,000 on the clock five years ago when was last reported can I take any action against them for falsely advertising the kilometres on the vehicle
1 answer
Id definitely try, they should have checked before they auctioned the vehicle, thats false advertising, may have had an undisclosed engine change, good luck

By the way, auction finished 25 minutes ago and all 8 items are in this ridiculous 'going going gone' phase which allows Grays to continue to take bids.......... scam???
