Herbalife simply puts you on a high energy low calorie diet which is when weightloss happens . You are better off consulting a dietitian than this program as you are missing out on a lot of essential nutrients. I personally wouldn't trust unless these are recommended by a certified professional

I have tried this herbalife products previously. Basically was kind of like on and off. I didnt sign up its membership and bought it online as I saw some good deals.
I was recently approached by a friend keenly introducing it to me again. I am quite sick with how its members sale-approach, but am even upset with the contents itself.
To summarise, stay away from this product for the following reasons:
(a) It is definitely over-priced. Basically you should have the common sense that it definitely does not worth the value of its price when you learned that it is a direct sale product. You can only buy it by signing up as a member (with membership fee payable), and you will be placed under someone. What I can think of it's just like a leech. Yes, the price will get cheaper after it has sucked up most of your money.
(b) As mentioned by others that used it before, the taste itself is very artificial. The textures of the mixture itself is also artificial and now powdery per se.
(c) I have read about the nutrition facts, and agree with others, it is a scam and also like a cult. How can you not loosing weight if you were to skip your normal meals, adopting mickey mouse portion in your meals, and eating something just to fill up your stomach yet making you think that you have all nutritions covered?

I have recently started studying about whey protein, and learned that there are many good options that are available in the market, especially in Australia. Better quality, and so much cheaper than this Herbalife. Dont let it do more harm than good to your body, and at the same time burn a big hole in your pocket!

If you check the product range there is a fibre product. I add about 1/2 tsp to my shake if this becomes a problem. I usually add fruit to my shakes and or some oats, so regularity has not been a regular issue

Plenty of water is the key!! I am not a big one myself for exercise but even doing a little walking is a start. My Herbalife consultant said to me to put the Herbalife tea into the water to help with getting your water intake up!!.

Hi Setyo,

the reason why I started taking these products many years ago was that I had to lose 18kg, which I did over 10 months. I was not able to exercise at all, as I had bad back-pain from a ruptured disc. I still do not exercise and I kept off my weight. My body grew healthier by the year so that eventually my back-pain was no more. I even started to do some physical activity in my garden. I am still without any medication and have a green tick at my yearly medical check-ups.

To drink the right amount of fluid, I stay away from anything with sugar or alcohol, and no coffee. I replaced coffee with the Herbalife's NRG tablets. I keep hydrated with the Herbalife's Hydrate-24, and I use the Herbalife's probiotic as well as their Active-Fibre Complex powder. I start the morning with a cup of their flavoured tea, and take the Hydrate-24, before breakfast.

To further regulate my digestion I take a Magnesium tablet when I think I need help with the "flow". As you know, the protein in these products will possibly reduce the "flow" and therefore additional products such as magnesium is required, even when you drink lots. If you are urinating too often, then you maybe drinking more than the body needs.

Happy to help, but your Herbalife distributor should be your first point for advice, or call Herbalife on 08 8154 0200. For further product info check this out: http://www.herbalifeevents.com.au/promotions/herbalife-product-information-guide.

Hope this helps,
kind regards,
Jim

Is it necessary to take all the supplements in the Herbalife weight loss program?

1 answer
JimJ
JimJ

Definitely no! I think that all these nutrition supplements are serving a purpose for good health. Its well known that a good life style and good nutrition is important for having good health. I am convinced that by having good health the body will keep its desired weight required to carry on the good health. Therefore, one could say that weight management is achieved by getting and keeping healthy. If the person is too skinny or carries to much weight, I am sure it will normalise to the correct required weight in time with good health. I never looked at these products as a weight-loss program, only as additional nutrition. If we eat less to reduce weight, or like to add weight, additional supplemented nutrition may help the body to get healthy and get the normal weight. Gains or losses maybe achieved faster or slower depending on your expenditure and choice of products. I am sure that your products' supplier will be able to suggest what is best for you. I hope this helps, regards, Jim
