Hill's Prescription Diet Canine I/d

My dog loves the tin food, my issue is that it sometimes comes to you in dented tins, and the tins are often not full, big gap at times, otherwise great product, my dog needs low fat due to diabetes and prone to pancreatitis

We’ve tried everything. And I mean everything with my pup. She had parvo as a puppy so her gut is scarred and permanently damaged. She loves raw. But it doesn’t agree with her. Grain free foods go right through her. Royal canin didn’t like her. So we’ve tried every other brand under the sun. Finally I thought I’d try I/d. And wow. With in 24 hours she had solid stools!!

Disappointed that the dog I was fostering came down ill after being prescribed this brand after 3 Stomach surgeries. A brand that is now hard to trust given the latest recall of their products. Especially considering the price.

Hills have changed formulation of Hills i/d canned food (March 2017). Different packaging (used to say Gastrointestinal, now says Digestive Care) but I noticed different texture (coarser) and strong smell. Vets said it was just label change & advised I call Hills to query. Hills confirmed they have added bulking agents (I think they said beets and something else). BUYER BEWEAR! Hills have changed the ingredients again! This is ridiculous. The new "improved formula" is making my dog very ill. Stop changing things!! This food is crazy expensive and I've had to wasted a few bags because they changed the formula and it made my dog sicker because I didn't realise they changed it and I didn't get to slowly transition him into it. However he is NOT adapting to the new "improved" formula.

My small dog has had years of digestive problems. Had him on Hills digestive care then the I/d low fat biscuits. He had more bad days than good; vomiting, very runny stools. Light bulb moment looking at the ingredients, lots of grains and wheat, not much protein. So bought a Purina grain free biscuit to start with from the supermarket and immediately saw an improvement. Hi, We have a 13 years old + German shephard That had diarrhea for a week i have change the food but no luck, so we went to the vet & the Dr said we should put the dog down because it sound like cancer. But we did not put the dog down, So the Dr Gives the dog a Medication - Injection & two tablets a day for 1 week + Hills Prescription Diet can food, And no more diarrhea he is fine again.
Note: Due to he age we have a Wheelchair for him.

The last 2 mths have been a struggle with my sick German Shephard, huge lost of weight, diarrhea, blood test came back normal spent so much money buying food & looking for ways to help him,finally had an ultra sound done he's got bacteria in the gut could also be EPI which the blood test hasn't picked up hes on antibiotic and Hills Prescription i/d which the vet recommended its only been 5 days but what a difference this food has made he loves it and finally his pooh is starting to get back to normal, its not cheap but highly recommended.
