We've owned a Hisense Chest Freezer Model HR6CF146 for 2.5 years. It's worked OK til now but the alarm light comes on now when the motor is running. It's still cycling OK and keeping the temperature at the right temperature. Any ideas? [email removed]

Hi, man, this one has a 3 yrs warranty,just call them to repair it.
The freezer has a three year warranty. You will find the warranty page at the back of the user's manual. The number to call is 1800 447 367. You will be required to email or fax your proof of purchase. Hope this helps.

What should the temperature be set at? Mine is set on Mid. Also the green light is sometimes on and sometimes off - what does that mean? It makes a little noise when going off & on.

I have just purchased a Hisence Freezer HR6CF146. I have followed all instructions the freezer is ready but I can not open the lid. Any help?

It could b that because it’s new it hasn’t been open much or even tho it’s new there could b something rong with the seels wat u can do is ring the company and c wat they say
The bad news is that the lid regularly locks throughout the day, presumably to continue the freeze process. This is most annoying for me when I want to take something out of the freezer and find the door locked. I have to wait several minutes which is a pain as it interrupts my recipe or cooking process. This model is a disaster and is a mistake for anyone to buy.
Since writing the above, I have now found someone at the company who knew something about this model and he recommended that I insert a knife blade between the suction pads of the lid and the main body of the freezer for a minute or so. After doing this I have not had any of these problems to date.

Once the door was closed I would not be able to open again for 20 minutes to 30 minutes. You will have to get what you need on the 1st opening unless you are prepared to wait. When the freezer has been filled up a bit it might get easier, but really haven't solved it. Have been told it has to do with vacuum and it is common for this to happen.
