I saw all these good reviews, so bought it. Mucho regretto. Look, honestly it's a good phone for the money in one sense (i.e operating system is well designed, phone is light, decent battery life). But unfortunately the biggest problem is something I can't get over and ruins the entire phone, hence only 2 stars. It's SUPER SLOW.
Opening apps and changing app and browser pages is painfully slow. You can press things 10 times before they open. You wait 7 seconds for the keyboard to appear and then it's types a bunch of crap from you tapping to...
Read more see if you did something wrong. I know it's cheap, but I simply cannot use it unless I have all day to write and email and send a txt msg. I wanted this as a temp phone for 6 months but you're better off spending more on a faster phone.- 2 reviews

The Huawei Y6 is a nice solid phone that you can get under $100. However Huawei Y6 Elite can be had for the same price with more processing power.
The Huawei Ui is very slick but not as fast as the HTC, Iphone UI. The Camera is average but decent in this price range.
The battery life is also very good, you can easily get a full day of use out of it.
The phone is extremely slow to respond on touch screen...brand new phone and so slow. Very little memory space! I can only add 4 apps to the phone without buying extra memory. I have complained to Vodafone and Coles where I bought it and no one wants responsibility for it.

I've taken this phone with me everywhere and it has stood up to every test. So far, I'm very impressed with the android OS and the ease at which I learned to use it and the sheer durability of the phone. So far this phone has reached my expectations and it works perfectly. I am happy to say that for me this was a good choice and I would gladly purchase again.

I bought this phone for $99 dollars on sale. Phone body and UI is sleek and nice, phone responds fast and overall very good for the price. Camera picks up colour nicely but can't handle high exposure environments. Battery life is incredible, overall excellent phone, only hang up is the camera could be better.

I bought mine for $99 and got a $50 eftpos card (via redemption) and $40 vodafone credit. Never had any problem with this phone. Has an excellent battery, camera and light/torch. Runs every app I have download. This would have to one of the most feature packed phones in the price range.
Best phone experience I've had to date
Better than iPhones easy to use a
Smooth slick with so many other options can't say enough unexpectedly compares against all other smartphones and the price is insanely low would have happily take one of these instead of any other smart phone...... "

I purchased this phone on a prepaid service for $129. The provider included $40 worth of credit which I think is incredible value. The Y6 has all of the functions of a more expensive phone. However the configuration is slightly confusing, and takes some getting used to. Battery has an amazingly long life before needing to be recharged

I purchased a white elite y6 outright 2 weeks ago for my tech savaged partner with big fat fingers lol.
He hasn't had a new phone for over ten years and had hand me downs.
So I purchased this after reviewing it on line and thought this would be good for the man.
Purchased for $129 so was a food price for a smart phone with a 5 inch screen and larger icons for him that he can't press 2 at the same time, as this was the problem with smaller phones. It works for him. He's loving it though was sceptical at first.
It's a good hand size for him, ...

The GPS and Navigation system is very good. The screen resolution is good. The 8 MP Camera is fine. The phone performance is good and the battery last for 24 hours with the power saving option. At the end you get what you paid for.The phone is perfect for a person with limited budget.
November 13th 2017 Update: This is an amazing budget phone!
The phone has a nice camera and great reception!
The battery performance is very good. You can excessively use all features of the phone form GPS navigation to making calls and listening to music and the battery will lest for the whole day.
It has a small memory so you definitely need to buy a an SD memory with it.

This review is for the elite model. Very good for the price. Overheats occasionally when charging for some reason.
I would happily buy this phone again.
I'm with Vodafone so not sure if that is why I get 4G drop outs regularly when indoors.
Good, reliable phone so far that can run one app at a time.

I bought this outright from Vodafone because I broke my Sony xperia and I am locked into a contract, I didn't want to add more dollars to my monthly bill so this was recommended as a good option.
This mobile phone is good and reliable for it's price but if you are a lover of apps beware of the small 8gb of memory, while it does take a micro SD card to expand the memory many apps cannot be transferred to memory card therefore you will be constantly getting notified that you are out of space. I find this very frustrating as I use google maps, a ...

Purchased this phone after using a mini Samsung for the past 4 years which needed charging every day. Although the Huawei Y6 is not top of the range and only cost me $129.00 I am very happy with my purchase and can at least now find it in my handbag!

I bought this phone as I needed one asap after my expensive samsung was stolen, it was $99. I have found it to be easy to use and it does everything the expensive ones do. I am very happy and have not bothered to get one of the big name brands. It handles all the apps and photos with ease, I have no hesitation in recommending this phone.

I purchased a Y6 Huwawei mobile phone in January and cant believe how good it it, my family members all have $800 phones and agree that mine is just as good as theirs except that mine cost $129.00 with a $50 eftpos cash back so really only $79.
