525LST

The 525LST has to be one of the best whippers on the market, mine's just on 12 months old, no issues at all until 2-3 months ago, half way thru using it, it just stopped & for the life of me I couldn't get it started again, next day, started like every other time, no issues at all, using it for 5-10mins & died again & again, couldn't able to start it again, next day, cold motor, starts again like there's never had an issue with it.
QUESTION: does anyone else had the same problem as mine?
Now, this is the strangest part of it all, had it serviced, new carby kit, & the usual check ups.
Go to use it, like before, starts like always no issues. While using, & again 5-10mins working, it stopped again & same old scenario, it wouldn't start for the life for me. OK, took it to husqi dealer, pulled motor apart, checked everything, couldn't fault it at all. Fair enough, next day, started like always no problems at all, using it for again, 5-10mins, it stopped on me again.
Can anyone help me out!!
Has anyone else have same problems as mine.
Regards John

Hi John, I haven't had this problem as yet, is definitely a concern expecially for the price. Mine's only new but will try and get it going for longer period of time to see if it starts happening. Definitely wish I got a Honda or Stihl for sure.

Cheers Dave, yeah it's got me stumped & I'm not quite sure what to do next with it. Had a Stihl, the vibrations thru it, I nearly went to hospital because my fingers & hands were problematic. Have a Honda, found it too heavy to use, especially over longer stints. For me, i totally loved my husqi & wouldn't want to change, but maybe I might have to.

Could be a plugged vent line. Check and clean. Or pluged faulty cap. open loosen the cap and retighten while engine is running at regular intervals say 5minutes and see if it keeps going longer .
.
I would expect the fuel filter was replaced at the service so that should be okay.
Also check you have the right plug they came with a BPMR8Y not the usual BPMR7A/rcj6y which suited the older 326,327 style models I think the 8 runs hotter.
Check spark plug lead is on tight.
Coil perhaps ive never had this problem.
If your a contractor using it regularly then fresh fuel should not be a problem otherwise drain and replace with a new mix. Also check for clogged exhaust by removing it and cleaning carbon if you see piston clearly on other side when exhaust is off but running stihl ultra tends to reduce this issue.
I run stihl HP Ultra 50/1 in the 525 it runs better on this than anything else. Use Octane 95 non ethanol with it not the regular fuel . Eg the regular standard unleaded 91 octane I run that in the mowers.
