OK once you can get it started
UPDATE 30th March 2020 - Don't buy one of these mowers! For the second time in 3 years the motor has seized. The company won't do anything about.
Good mower with a large cutting blade. It can be very difficult to start especially after sitting for a couple of weeks. It has an automatic choke and once started runs really well and cuts the grass on my acre of gardens very well. Does use a little much petrol, but the larger engine and the 19 inch cutting blade probably causes that. Has a good range of height adjustments that handle all situations. Well built.

Great Disappointment
Replace a 25 year old Victa Mustang with this unit. Has done very little work as it is hard to start despite the fact that it claims otherwise on the engine cover (just reinforces why I should not have bought something with a Briggs and Stratton engine).
The catcher is absolute rubbish - a gumnut smashed a hole straight through it and the "filters" on the side clog easily and then fall apart. Unit will not throw damp grass to the back of the catcher and forget about trying to cut wet grass with the mower as it is almost useless at this - e...Read more
ven with the cut set at the highset setting. Only thing in its favour is that as a four stroke you don't have mix two stroke fuel - by comparison with the Mustang (which has a Vortex function on the blades disk) it is even poor at picking up dry grass. And whoever the dumb designer was that came up with "agressive" looking treads across the face of the wheels clearly doesn't have dogs! Treads are a great dog doing catcher - as well as wet grass - and the front wheels also collect grass around the axles.............. Not the quality I expected from the Husqvarna brand - only reason I didn't buy a Honda powered unit of a similar size is that they too have terrible catchers (clog at the entry with wet grass) and have the dumb and unecessary auto-stop when you take your hands off the handle........... If you are too dumb to use a mower safely without it turning off when you go to remove the grass catcher you should get someone else to mow your lawns............

Very happy with this mower!
After researching for a few weeks, finally settled on this self-propelled mower for my backyard. It had come down to two brands in the end- Husqvarna or Masport. Both are good brands as far as mowers go. Went into Paul's at Richmond and was able to compare both brands side by side. Husqvarna won! Based on features and price.
Started using it and found it to be very good. Build quality is great. Starts easily. Self-propelled feature is great for bigger backyard and it goes pretty easily uphill.
I would recommend it if you've got a bigger backyard and plan to keep it for a few years. I'll be getting it serviced annually.

Great mower
Recently bought the LC19A and so far it's been an unreal mower.
Very happy with the way it cuts and catches. I mulch the front yard and along the front and rear nature strips and the mulching feature works very well with their "bioclip" process cutting the mulch nice and fine.
Yes it's a big heavy mower but that doesn't bother me, it's easy to move around the yard and around trees etc. with its larger ball bearing wheels and good handle set up.
Always starts on the second pull, plenty of power and nice and quiet.
At first I was a little dis...Read more

Look elsewhere for a good mower.
Found the engine to be very good and easy to start, but the mower it's self is very poor. It won't cut damp grass. Tends to tear off dry grass rather than gutting it off. Very poor at picking up the cut grass. The mower is also heavy (32Kg) and rolls down the grass with the wheels, the next run with the mower will not cut the flattened grass. All in all I am very disappointed with my purchase.

great ! Loads of power and torque.
As my lawns were up to 'crutch high' (I am 6'), was expecting some tough work. The mower coped on half throttle easy. The obligatory second pass to make sure I got all the grass was it. All down to the highest setting. I will chop down to about fourth or fifth height setting, then looks like will be able to mow on at 'idling' revs.
The only complaint is that the stickers have all come off with washing it after use?? Even the Husqvana logo!!

Great Mower - Easy to Start
Great mower. A little heavy to lift. Starts 1st time every time. Cuts grass with a clean finish. As with all 4 strokes, don't put too much oil in as it can get messy. I use the mulched which makes it so easy. Definitely would recommend this mower for anybody who wants professional results

Beware of this mower!
Recently bought a Husqvana LC19A from a reputable dealer on the Central Coast. Did my homework, read reviews, etc. Had a Honda that lasted me 15 years and had it serviced once. It was a great mower and would recommend them all day long. So why buy a Husqvana I hear you say, good question. They have made the new Honda's completely different to the older model's so I tried to get a similar type to my old mower, bad move. The Husqvana cost me over $700.00 dollars and is nothing like my old faithful. From day one it took 10 to 15 pulls to start the...Read more
mower, asked the dealer and that was apparently normal just get them to have a look at it on its first service which was suppose to cost me $25. The mower is very heavy when it's on the lawn and takes a lot of strength to do a normal size lawn. Paint around body is peeling off, also normal again from dealer and catcher is a bit of a nightmare to empty. Took it in for it's 5 hour running time service and at this time was taking at least 20 pulls to get it started. Dealer informed me they would look at it while doing the service. On picking up the mower I was told the carby was filthy and blocked so they had to clean it long story short cost me $90 for this service "wow" only mowed the lawn three times and washed it down after every use. Would definitely not recommend this mower save your money and buy a Honda you won't be sorry.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Glad I bought it
Yep I bought it first then decided one day to find some reviews. Firstly if I'd seen the reviews first I wouldn't have bought it but I'm glad I didn't because I read these reviews and it's like they are all talking about a different machine altogether. Yes the catcher looks flimsy and the lid too but it holds up well as I treat it with care. Starts straight away, is very quiet, good on fuel and has a very good finish.
End of the day you look after it it'll look after you.

Im a commercial lawn mower
The LC19AP is my go to mower. I have had it over 12 months and my Honda HRU196 hardly leaves the trailer anymore.
I did need to modify it a tad but i have to do that to all my mowers.
Its light, comfortable, cuts, bags and mulches well.
Id recommend it to anyone after a push mower.

Disappointed with durability of Catcher.
Bought the LC 19 a bit over 2 years ago mower starts and mows really good. The bars across the back of the mower where the catcher fits in have both fallen off welds The first one around 12 months old the second one at 20 months. Have had them welded back on locally as we live too far from shop mower where I purchased it.
I am about to replace the catcher as it has cracked and lost a piece out of the bottom where grass enters the catcher. I think the material the catcher is made is too thin and is of is of less a quality than the rest of the mower, Other than that it's O.K. I did expect better for the price.

Lemon
Have been very happy for years with Husqy chainsaw so decided on LC19 mower. Took between 7 and 20 plus to start from new but ran fine once going. Took back to dealer, was told had a faulty choke and was now OK. Took it home only to find would not start at all.
Returned to dealer and advised it needs new throttle. No parts in Australia !! Will have to wait almost a month to get the parts and get mower back. Extremely disappointed and now have to hire a mower to mow my lawn.

First Lawn mover and cannot fault it so far
This was the only recommendation from Mowers Galore sale person for domestic use/ 120 SqM of sir Walter buffalo grass/ Flat surface/ long term ownership for around 550$. ( Other recommendation was Honda which was nearly 200 $ dearer, the equivalent Victa range had a plastic height adjustment ) The main PLUS point was it comes with 5 years domestic warranty when husky oil is purchased along with the mower.
Lawn Mower exterior - Looks great/solid, great padding on the handle, the throttle/ engine start pull very handy, Big wheels and easy t...Read more
o move around, height adjustment lever is easy and sits on a metal clip rather plastic, Large catcher ( Held by the flap which feels clumsy but does the work of holding the catcher ) Engine - B&S 750 DOV, felt powerful, Noisy The grass was a bit long but the husky did not have any problems ( Used the Mulch insert ) I think the engine was running for atleast 45 mins overall and there was fuel in the end. Easy to push !! Overall happy with the performance. Time will tell how long it will last but for now its got a 5 years domestic warranty.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Expected better from husqvarna
I only use a push mower to clean up around the edges and I between trees, sheds etc as I have a very large lawn on a hilly country property. I use a ride on for the majority. I spent quite a bit of time speaking to the husqvarna dealer explaining what I would be using the mower for and that I wanted something with loads of power as there are a few spot where the grass gets thick / long quickly.
It mows the lawns but bogs down badly when the grass gets longer / thicker. There's no fuel tap so the fuel left in the tank evaporates / leaks away...Read more
between mowings. It blows a lot of dust out the front/sides when conditions are dry. It has a funky clip to secure the catcher and it appears weak / flimsy, I expect it will break before long (once you get used to the clip it works well). It has a very bad habit of compacting the grass above the blades / cutter deck requiring you to stop the mower, flip it over and clean it out by hand. (didn't do it with sparse dry grass only with lush green grass) The spongy foam on the handle is good on the hands and you don't seem to be affected by the vibration. The handles appear to have to much wiggle where they fold no matter how much you tighten them ( I am planning to put in a second bolt as the movement is very annoying) Very disappointed that the dealer recommended this mower - must have had the highest profit margin on this one! Very quiet, Underpowered, no fuel tap, no hose attachment on wash port, did I mention underpowered, blocks up with grass5 comments
Marc, To be honest the DOV engine on the LC19 is one of the best engines Briggs and Stratton have ever used, It is also the 2 most powerful push mower engine that Briggs and Stratton build They are... Read more
a 750 DOV (the 850 is the biggest) I would suggest getting you local Husqvarna dealer to up the REV's on the engine that will increase performance dramatically, This will also increase the airflow and will help with the compaction above the blades, Please make sure you run this mower at full throttle as the engine is governed and gives you the power you need when you need it The catcher clip is similar to the Masport design and it feels weird but is extremly strong and durable, Out of all the Husqvarna mowers that Mowers Galore has sold we havent had to replace a rear flap / clip assyHi Scott,
When do the LC19 mowers come out with the mesh catcher?
Cheers

Why doesnt my grass carcher fit on my new huskvarna lc 19 mower? Any ideas?

it's a but tricky but just keep jiggling it, you will eventually get it in!
Before start .First make sure that flap and internal frame on mower are clean and free of built up grass clippings.
Second the spring loaded catch and guides needs to be clear of debris and not bent.- Clean with engine cleaner and lubricate with wd 40 in around spring and handle.
Open catcher lid fully insert catcher making sure it seats properly in cavity on rear axle. Close lid allowing spring loaded handle to lock.

Is there a replacement to the mulching disc?
Its a pain in the ......
I have an early model electrolux made by husky which doesnt make cow pies on damp grass.

Not sure, all I got with mine was the mulch plastic insert which goes in the grass shoot on the back and the catcher. To be honest I don't mulch as my grass is super thick and I hate the kids dragging grass in all the time!
Think that the mulching plug is the only thing that makes it a "mulching" mower. (Mine' s a LC19)
My plug came loose and was chewed up by the blades and was just replaced with a view of increasing it's trade in value.
