All models of most cars, and that includes Hyundai models had "elastic bands" for timing gear.... but the Company replaced them with CHAINS since late 2013 I believe... mine is 2015 YM and had chains on it... and so did the 2013 i20 I had before!

Accent LC (2000-2006)

My 2003 Hyundai Accent runs ok for short runs, but if driven for a lengthy time, say 1 hour, then parked for short while, it won't start. Starter motor turns over but engine will not fire up. Seems like its getting no fuel but I suspect its an overheated sensor of some sort. Anyone have any ideas ?

Not shure cars normally become very costly once its done too many ks depending on the car some can do 100s of ks others only do 100 best thing is a good machanic mine can tell me exactly what is likely to go wrong and when and estimate the cost one he says get ride of it i do my cars usually last 8 to 10 years and thats second hand unless they crash at the moment i have sedan ford fiesta 20ksonce you get used to the gear box its a great little car to drive safe and aparently they never break down costly and they go for ever unless you wreck or crash it

Possibly it's time to take the car to a hyandai Australia workshop or a mechanical repairs and servicing workshop. If the fault is electric then perhaps a auto electrician shop might be able to help though it seems to that a fuel injection might be blocked

Had The same problem with my Hyundai accent. Solution was replacement of the fuel pump. It's a known problem with this model.
Been running like a charm since replacing the fuel pump. Starts every time.
