Most comfortable vehicle i have driven
I own a MU-X LSU 4x2 and love it. I bought the 2 wheel drive as I have no intention of going bush bashing, but do intend to tow a van. I cover a lot of K's, my previous car had 505,000 K's on the clock when traded.
I purchased the mux in October 2016 new and have been to Goulburn and Geelong since then and found that I can step out of the car feeling great after 8 hrs behind the wheel.
Very easy car to drive and very economical.

Over one year on with my Isuzu MU-X LSU
I have spent most of my life in the motor industry both retail and manufacturing and possess a Full Technological Certificate in Automotive Engineering and have been in various management positions including Fleet and Truck Service Specialist for one of the big three. So when I tell you I believe the Isuzu LSU MU-X is the best vehicle I have ever owned or been supplied for free you can take this as the truth.
This vehicle is beautifully manufactured, fit and finish is excellent and apart from two recalls has been completely trouble free. NVH...Read more
is so good one could be forgiven for thinking it is petrol powered. The economy is as claimed 8L/100 Kms. bearing in mind I live in the country, the engine now run in seems more powerful than its capacity would suggest 3L's. It is nice to drive under any circumstances and my wife loves to drive it. The standard running boards are a great help for short stature passengers to climb aboard. The seats rear movements is the furthest I have experienced and I'm six foot in the old language. I am satisfied with the MU-X being only two rear wheel drive as I don't need 4X 4, I don't wish to drive it, pay the purchase price for it or pay the extra maintenance cost. I have ignored " Four Wheel Only " signs for all of my 76 years and only got stuck once with the wheels substantially off the ground where 4 X 4 would have not made any difference. Isuzu have an excellent reputation for reliability building only commercial quality vehicles and I am impressed by this. I worry about the move in other manufactures to smaller diesels producing more power. This probably comes from more boost from the turbo which will inevitably lead to durability problems. The auto trams used by Isuzu has a similar excellent reputation for durability coming from a commercial vehicle most likely being weight abused and subject to stop and start operation. In every model range there is usually is one model that has all the desirable options at the best price and could I suggest in the MU-X it is the LSU, I purchased my 4 X 2 for approx. $38000 and in view of what was supplied it was a bargain! To sum up, if you have not arrived at the conclusion that I am extremely pleased with my purchase, let me say now its a ripper and I look forward to many years of use such as I have experienced with two previous Isuzu vehicles

Great car!
After 6 months of investigation looking for a 7 seater I decided to go with the LS-U.
Comfortable for 6 adults, built like a brick outhouse, fuel consumption is great.
After 3 weeks of driving this car I look forward to many more years.
A little disappointed with the audio system.

Perfect tow vehicle
Awesome car, as a diesel mechanic with a long history of Isuzu experience I can not recommend this vehicle enough. 7.5 litres per 100klm diesel usage unloaded, that is better than a Toyota Corolla and I can tow 3 ton
Shock absorbers could have been a bit heavier but if you drive at the speed limit it isn't an issue.
There was a recall on a seatbelt bolt in the rear of the vehicle, repaired no problems and was given a voucher for $55 to spend in their spares/accessory shop, totally awesome, if Holden and Ford had this level of customer service they be in a better position than they are in now.
Be advised though, to look after the injection system

I forgot to finish off, be sure to use a 2micron fuel filter to look after the injection system
