Jalna Greek Style Natural (page 2 of 3)
Revise the new lid
I absolutely love jalna yoghurt but the new lid style is terrible... I've broken 2 nails trying to remove the lid and using a spoon or similar utensil doesn't help. Jalna, please revise the lid.
update on initial review
Since my first experience with this product I persisted and can honestly say I have been really happy that I did. The yogurt is really lovely firm and smooth.
Jalna Lids
Agree with other comments that the new Jalna lids are very difficult to get off, old ones were much better. However will keep buying Jalna because oit ispot set and one of the best on the market...yoghurt is not mean to be runny and sweet, but tart tasting & firm...
Jalna Lids
Love Jalna especially the low fat one kilo pots . have been purchasing them for 25yrs + however due to the new lids they have chosen to use I have had to find another product. bent two many spoons and forks trying to get the lid off.

Nector of the gods but you need super human strenth to open/close the lid
I would rather be saying what a great and delicious product you have .Instead I really need to tell you the the new packaging on your 1 Kg pot set yogurt is letting your product down big time .
The first time you try to open the top lid, you need to have the patience of a saint and the wrist muscles of Arnold Schwarzenegger to get it off .
To get it back on, you need either a blow torch or a jimmy bar .
Please bring back the old closure on the pot .The current one is doing your brilliant product a disservice.
We love your product and have for a great number of years.
HARD TO OPEN NEW LID
We absolutely love your yoghurt especially the Greek Style Sweet and Creamy. I just wish that I did not have to wrestle with it every morning to get the lid off. It seems I am not the only one experiencing this problem.
To hard to open
I too am frustrated with the new lid on the 1KG tubs. We have been enjoying Jalna Yoghurt for many years. However, until they bring back the older style lid we will have to buy yoghurt with a lid that doesn't damage my fingernails and tip of my fingers. this is a bad decision to change the lid.

Beautiful yoghurt....BUT....the lid is a BIG problem......until made easier to get of....not wasting
Absolutely love the yoghurt....however until the lid is changed to an easier one, to get off....not buying anymore as half of it ends up in the sink when finally opened,,........so PLEASE.....make it easier for us old people....
Can't open to get to the yummy contents!
My favourite breakfast is in tatters as I cannot get the lid off the yoghurt to scoop onto my fruit and cereal. The edge to the lid cuts into my fingertips and is not worth the pain. I'm trying out the other brands which lack the set consistency of Jalna but at least I can open them. What happened to quality control testing lids? Pleased I'm not the only one experiencing this problem.

Can't get the lid off
Frustrated- can't get the lid off! I cannot believe anyone involved in marketing this product has not realised this! I won't be buying again no matter how good the contents may be!
That horrible lid!
Please Jalna, get rid of the awful lid! I love the product and have been buying it for years, but this lid is too hard to get off. I agree with what everyone else has said. I can't see why Jalna hasn't been swift about getting rid of the lid.
"Get rid of the lid!" "Get rid of the lid!"

This stuff is proof that Yogurt really is the food of the GODS!
I simply cannot live without this product. Being a hardcore Greek Yogurt afficinadio, all i can say is more, more more! I love this product because it is rich, creamy and so moreish. I have even invented recipes, just so i can get the opportunity to use this product, in almost all of my cooking. God Bless you Jalna, what a top quality product!

It really is about the new lid!!!!
I have bought Jalna yoghurt for a number of years and do believe that the Jalna Greek Yoghurt is the best on the market (and how can anyone resist the sweet and creamy/coconut?) . However, the recent change of lid to 1kg size has made it such a difficult feat to even open the tub. I have been left with sore fingers and broken nails over recent weeks. Why the change?. Please bring back the REAL lid and I would easily raise the rating to - 5 stars.
the lid
I buy Jalna sweet and creamy regularly; but why did you change the lid? I need a chainsaw to open it. I have to wrap it in a towel to protect my hands, then once it is open I cut the lid through the narrowest part to allow me to open it again. I didn't have any probs with the previous design
Best Greek yoghurt ever
Eaten every night on evening meal as a dressing with salad or vegies....we love Jalna Greek yoghurt..no other brand will do!

The Lid!
I love this product and am so happy they don't go with the "creamy" style like all the others. This is almost like the natural yogurt sold in Greece, not the process version sold here. HOWEVER what in heavens name have Jalna done to the LID!!! I can no longer get at the product! It's burglar proof and CONSUMER PROOF! Jalna - if you want us to consume your product, please replace your lid so that we don't have to call a carpenter to get at it!!!
New lid
Return the old lid please . These new ones are terribly hard to open, leaving me with broken and damaged fingernails. Not user friendly at all. I only buy Jalna but may have to find another brand if these lids are kept.lainey

Impossible new lid
Jalna have changed the lid on their 1kg pot so now it is so difficult to remove, not just the first time but subsequent efforts, that we will have to change brands. The yoghurt itself is great but can no longer tolerate the pain and damage to fingers.

Just lovely
Beautiful thick and creamy yoghurt. Other brands just can't compare. Its the best on the market by far. All natural and Aussie made too!
Wouldn't buy this again.
I just had a few mouthfuls of this yoghurt and stopped as it left a mild but horrible aftertaste in my mouth. It didn't exactly smell right and there was a random black speck in it. My stomach feels a bit off after eating it too. Waste of money. I'll be buying either Farmer's Union or Tamar Valley after this. Hopefully I don't get sick from it.
incorrect labelling
jalna yogurts are made from homogenised milk - this not shown on the label.
it is over processed until it is tasteless

My favourite yogurt
I'm very surprised at the last review. I use the sweet and creamy and the Greek and find them thick, smooth, creamy and filling. The flavour of the Greek is quite mild and not sharp - maybe that is the issue for the previous person. For me they are perfect. All natural ingredients as well.

Jalna Pot Set Greek Yoghurt
Unbelievably bad. The whole 2 litres (less a couple of mouthfuls) has just been flushed down the sink where it deservedly belongs.
Slightly gritty, but the main complaint is that it is absolutely entirely without taste, not just of any known type of yoghurt, but of anything at all.
There are lots of poor commercial yoghurts out there - too many additive, preservatives etc, but this was supposedly free from all those. Tasted nothing like the genuine artcicle should taste like - we would home make but for the time - in fact it was wIthout any taste at all. Jalna, a name to avoid.

Sweet and Creamy
I love mixing this as a dressing for fresh fruits and berries. They are smooth and creamy and doesn't turn watery when mixed with fruits. I like its subtle sweetness that is not too overpowering the fruits and instead it complements the flavours. Best fruits to pair it with are strawberries or any berries basically. I really really love it!
They change the best before date.
They wipe off the best before date and change it 10 days forward when it gets too old, they call this recoding so their employees won't tell the supermarkets.
