Thanks. Sorry should have been more specific. A lot of amplifiers today try to fool you by making the power look more than what it is.
I'm looking at getting the yamaha aventage 770. its rated at 90 watts, but in reality its about 35 watts and some reviews say that isnt enough to really drive speakers like Jensen. So was just interested in what others were using for amps, high or mid range.

They just barly fit in a 70mm cavity. I have 70mm like yours. Expect sound to come out the otherside if its also a gyprock wall. Honestly they sound excellent tho. Been usin em for a fair while now. The center speakers work fantastic. Just need to raise the center channel 3 levels. Mine are either side of a 120 inch projector screen. Also the glass isnt exactly flush it sits off the wall around 5mm. Thats my only gripe. Good luck

My fitment was a bit different, I had lots of space as it was fitted in a feature wall which seats half a meter from bricks.
Glass does sit half a cm from the wall but if you want to spend some time when installing you can make it sit flush if you have sufficient space, which I believe you don't.
I do and might decide to flush mount it at some stage but it is not necessary, it looks really good the way it is, at least for me as I am using it next to the TV rather than using the projector.

How far from the edge of a rear lit led 55 inch screen can these be mounted given that they are not magnetically shielded?
Thanks Rob.

Probably question for Jensen..Mine have the wood frame betwewn the TV nad the speakers and are probably 15cm away from the TV each side and they do not suffer with any issues..I have put a good quality ceiling speakers (Klipsch) paired with a 8 inch sub and it sounds fantastic..even thought my akp is 7.1 I went with 5.1 setup..really happy

Shielded speakers are only required when being installed next to a Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) television. CRT televisions have deep boxes behind the screen. Flat screen LCD televisions can have unshielded speakers next to them. If there are any doubts, one way to test is to hold the speaker or a magnet next to the screen. If the colour and picture becomes distorted then don’t install them near that TV. Note, after this test the colour and picture may remain distorted. Turning the TV off at the power point and then back on again will fix it. May have to be done a couple of times before all Residual effects completely eliminated.
