My blades used to shut off immediately when I turned the lever down. Now they just slow to a stop when I disengage them. What's could the problem be?
Went out to an started mower drove about 200 feet it sounded like I ran over something stop checked it out found nothing hit notice belt is really lose an now it owing start is it because belt is loose or is there another problem?
Added a small amount of 10-w30 oil before using mower, about 10 minutes later it started lots of white smoke coming out muffler. Never missed, kept running good. Oil level a 1/8 in above full line What's up with this? Thank you
Mine has white smoke and smells like something is burning for the first few moments of starting but clears and runs fine. It is burning some oil off but not sure where the leak is or why a less than 1 year old mower would be leaking.

If its not turning at all, the motor has probably seized. They are having a problem with the 19HP Briggs engine and its pretty common in the D110 actually. This is exactly what happened to mine. Good luck with it. Still get it checked though.

Read morever, up market ones are engaged through a switch to a solenoid, if the cutting deck is not engaging with the switch turned you may have either a blown fuse, faulty switch or solenoid, I would check power supply first, I assume belts are intact?My mower blocks every time I use it. I empty it as soon as the hopper full light comes on,or before but it always blocks and spews out the cuttings. Is this a common problem?

I have a D100 manual ride on, yesterday it was going well and bang it stopped. The motor is still running however what ever gear I put it in its still not going. Smoke was starting to come from underneath. Is it my transmission?
Hello ..While I was cutting my grass ..I heard a pop and then my mower blades stopped working...But the engine was still running..I turn the PTO lever off and on mower blades will not turn..The Mower is a John Deere D-100 and I bought it new 4 years ago..Its been a great mower..What can I do?
