No expiring date!

published

They give you a ridiculous long code that you have to use to find out the expiring code. And the code doesn’t even work!. Just imagine the struggle of a senior person doing this in the shops.

Made In China

published

Here is a brand that has a great history BUT who have sold out. Initially to Thailand and as a person who has a condo in Thailand...fair to say I was extremely concerned about many things but then looked at their continued accreditation as "whatever TF" environmentally ... it does not matter as it is all nonsense when products come under the control of Asian countries that thrive on corruption. I recently read on the John West smoked oysters box that the product is "made in China" well my dear friends...I rest my case

Causes allergic reactions

published

Garbage stuff that gave me skin hives for 4 days. Most likely not very well produced/sourced made in Thailand where I have been and also gotten an alergic reaction to the seafood there.

Cheap plastic filled tuna farmed in Thailand

published

Not sustainable and farmed by Thai slave labour. If you have seen the beaches in Thailand you will be aware of how bad the pollution is there. Do you really want to put this garbage in your body.

Purchased in at Coles for $1.25.

Very disappointed.

published

Today I bought a small tin John West Tuna..tomato and chilli 90 grams. Very disappointed with this product from a reputable company.
On opening the tin it contained approximately 1/3 oil and the remainder being a hard lump of ghastly chilli tuna with no discernible tomato. Just raw chilli flavour. I wonder if that’s why it was on special.

Purchased in at Coles for $1.35.

All the leftovers

published

Compared to the other “Tuna in spring water” brands, John West is all the leftovers, there isn’t even an actual piece of Tuna, it’s like someone has sieved the container and put the scraps in a tin. Not good, happy to spend more to get a real piece of tuna.

Smells Awful

published

Looks and smells like cat food. Could not actually bring myself to eat it properly. Just nibbled a bit, and threw the rest out. Tried giving it to my cat - but she turned her nose up too.
