How many fan-speed settings? I need a floor fan-hater with at least 3 fan settings, so the fan isn't roaring loud when heat setting is on low or minimum. Kambrook used to offer the perfect one, with 3 fan settings, but I can't find anything like it.

The fan is the same for whatever setting it is on. Settings are for the temperature. Low, high or choose your own temp using the temperature dial. There is also a fan only option. The fan sound is the same on all of the settings. It is a low hum - not too loud at all. There is a swing button if you want the heater to oscillate - doesn't affect the sound at all.

Is the noise bearable to in a small room?

With all small heaters you will get a fan noise. We think that this one is very reasonable - not too noisy at all, but if you are looking for whisper quiet then don't buy a small fan heater.

Hello. Apparently the outer part does heat also :( so i dont think i can recommend this to families with babies who can by accident touch the outer part. Since sometimes, i mysef get clumsy and would accidentally touch the front part of the heater since that part also gets hot as you use the heater.

If l had little children or new pets l certainly wouldn't contemplate a floor heater.
Best to have a ceiling 4heat ..they take longer to heat area...but safer .
This is only my opinion ..hope it helps

Hi. Now for a stupid question. I wonder if anyone has tried this heater as a cooler, i.e. with just the fan going? I'm hoping it might save me buying a small fan for the little study. Yes I know I could just try it out, but it is stored away high on a shelf so writing this seems easier than climbing up on a ladder, maybe falling and ending up in Emergency. I know I know, I'm just plain lazy. I'm blaming the heat.

Hi sydneymidge - The KCE95 can be used in fan only mode with no heat emitting and it will help to circulate air but as the products main purpose is heating, it will not be as effective as a fan would be for cooling. Thank you, the Kambrook team.

In our current hot weather I guess it's better than no fan at all. I'll give it a try.
Thank you for responding.

Everyone will offer you their opinion as an answer to whether you can use your Kambrook as a cooler too.
My suggestion is to telephone the actual suppliers ...on the back of your service book will be National telephone numbers for problem shooting.
Good luck ..
