Terrible! Gift card redemption is 17th century. Have to CANCEL subscription to use a gift card. Never again!

published

Unbelievably backward company. How about you state on the gift card that it is ridiculously difficult to redeem a gift card. Certainly don’t want another Kayo gift card again! Doesn’t really encourage customers, does it

Tonight chatting with [Name Removed] sent a picture off screen problem & chat wouldn't let me continue. Very poor service.

Horrible

I have 600mb internet that can download at stupid fast speeds, but somehow I still struggle to watch f1 on anything other than absolute potato quality. Kayo and foxtel are a disgrace for Australia.

Not worth the money. Live stream tripping / glitching issues.

published

I find the service overpriced for service received.
Only 3 available streams per account with premium. I have a large family that enjoy watching multiple & different streams at once.

Also the live stream seams to trip / skip / glitch and replays short snippets which results in the screen not being live even just watching on one screen
( only app open, up to date, perfect internet speeds & free data storage )

Also the customer service is appalling to say the least. I’ll be using an alternate app going forward

Same as other reviewers - thank god I don't pay for this

published

Constant buffering; cannot watch a single event. My internet is 200MB/S and is capable of supporting UHD content from both Netflix and Prime on multiple devices, but this Kayo product is worthless. Given Kayo is owned by Foxtel I can only assume they have launched a product they know is inferior to try and turn people off streaming services and move them to their normal Foxtel product (at twice the price)... Needless to say, I wouldn'y pay a cent for this and am only using it as I get it for free with my power package.

Pay for advertising and bad technology

published

Kayo is full of bugs, not compatible with basic technology and their support pages don’t even display on safari. The fast forward and rewind is akin to a video tape knotting itself up. Why a paid tv service has sooo many advertisements is poor product service.

Want to pay for something that doesn't work. This is for you!

published

Can never watch things you pay for. When a stream doesn't work and you contact the help service different people give you different reasons as to why it isn't working. Sometimes they will even stream a completely different sport to what is meant to be on. You're literally paying for a service that doesn't work. You wouldn't pay for a product that doesn't work so why do it with a streaming service.

Most pathetic streaming service you could possibly imagine

published

Do you like not being able to watch programs that you pay for? Or low quality images and buffering all the time? Or not even being able to watch the program at all because it just does not load? Then this app is for you.
Absolute robbery that these guys can charge for this service.

Waste of money

Absolute disgrace how they can charge $28 a month for this product. Never get a clear picture and always buffering! My internet works perfectly fine for everything other streaming service I use. If you’re thinking of getting Kayo, do yourself a favour and save your money

Poor quality

published

I only use Kayo for NRL. I have middle tier speed NBN package which handles 4k streaming on other apps such as Netflix with no issues whatsoever. However, Kayo and it’s 1080P struggles all the time with the resolution dropping and pixelating all the time. These issues are when I watch it via an Apple TV device ( i have the latest 4k box) on my $12k tv. The hardware is not the issue! I don’t seem to have the resolution issues on my Iphone 12.
The user interface is also horrible.

I’ve been a long term user and only like it as a cheaper option to Foxtel. Kayo pick your game up!

Terrible!!!!

published

Kayo is terrible. I’m mad at myself for sticking with it for 3-4 Months. I’d get an unknown error everyday. It got to the point I just stopped watching it. At first I thought it was my internet service as it happens on all my devices, TV, Laptop, IPad and IPhone. Then I logged in with another IP and the same thing. I have over 20ish emails to Kayo no help desk, and it’s always the same. Try this try that log out delete start over and never an outcome. I asked for a refund and they told me I do not qualify because “their report” says it was working. It’s laughable. Lesson learned.

Makes sport unwatchable

published

Believe all the reviews you read this service is absolutely shocking. I have never had an app so consistently just not work or be so continually intermittant that the product is completely unwatchable. It is astonishing that for all the money involved they cannot produce a baseline working product. Dont bother talking to Kayo because they just blame your internet connection. Thanks but all other 4K streaming services work fine. The TV app is the worst, but even the browser is completely unreliable which is just unforgivable.
The second a service with equal content access hits the market, I will not waste another dollar with Kayo and Foxtel

Kayo is substandard

published

I’m trying to watch NZ v Tonga MENS replay from the START but Kayo instead keeps sending me to the women’s game in the 67th minute!!!!!! Kayo is crap!!!!!! Because News Corp’s going broke and they think the best way to make money is by offering a crap service to save a few bucks!!!!! Really poor layout too, it is quite often literally hard to find the footy game you want because of the layout

Impossible to cancel subscription.

They refuse to assist in canceling. Keep charging credit card telling me they can’t stop it. I have to go through Apple. That is its own dilemma. Be very careful.

Worst app ever! Charge an arm and a leg for an app that freezes every 30 seconds! All they say is get better internet even though I can stream 4K on every other platform no worries.

Bugs galore

published

I’ve used Kayo for some time. It has bugs but now it freezes on the Home screen. You can still use Sports, Shows and search but nothing works in the Home screen. The short lived remedy is to logout and login. It works for a short while then reverts to freezing. I contacted Kayo and they don’t read your message or problem solve. They just give you a stock answer.

Disgusting

published

Kayo is disgusting. Affiliated with Foxtel. Can’t even watch 1 minute without it pausing, “buffering” and the picture quality is awful!
Foxtel provides this cheaper and supposedly more economical alternative but in my opinion, they purposely make Kayo almost impossible to watch so that people will pay the extra out of frustration, to have Foxtel. Wish I could give a no star rating. Subscribed today, canceled 2 hrs later!

Hate it!

published

I'm not gifted technologically but can handle netflix, foxtel, iview etc.
Kayo is a nightmare especially fast forward, rewind and so on.
I hate using this with a passion! Too clunky and confusing for your average (or less) punter.

Watch the bouncing ball

published

Switching between 2 sporting events is very painful. Despite setting your sporting preferences it has every sport you never watch at your fingertips. Every few weeks it stops working and you have to vefify who you are you via your mobile phone. I am so sick of watching the different balls bounce whilst I wait for it to load.

They charged me twice.

published

They wouldn't refund me. They said I had two accounts but I don't. They just argued their point of view and would not respond to me. I closed my bank account and started investigation into suspicious activity. I'm a disability pensioner and they don't care if they charge. You twice and won't refund or help you at all.
