Nice to buy for an experienced driver. Alright for intermediates and can be a concern for newbies. Overall it's a good buy.
Great looks and power. Good interiors and quite comfortable as well as for the price. Good looks for the price.
Not good handling. Stiff steering and steering wheel can skid if not used properly. Chance to flip if over skids.

I have the car for three years now and will never buy Kia again. Waste of expenses for cheap plastic do not really appeal to me. It is worth exactly how much you are paying it for.
Engine is quite powerful. High level of equipment for such a small sedan. Looks very nice from outside. Good size boot.
Not functioning handbrake from the beginning! Never park it on a hill and try to reverse! Poorly adjusted clutch. Technology of the engine is a bit old and the consumption of petrol is on a higher side. Body panels are quite thin, so you must be very gentle with it.

Great car to drive, high specs for price of car. Reliable, easy to drive and park. Good all round vision. Would certainly buy another Kia.
Currently own 2006 hatch version. Great on fuel, car looks good, huge hatch when rear seats folded forward. Cruise control is magic (helps with fuel usage), comfortable, stable car to drive. Good head room. Smooth gear change and whisper quiet engine.
Nothing at this stage (owned car for 14 months).

We bought ours on the net, traded in a Terracan, didn't even test drive it, just met the dealer halfway between him and me, exchanged paperwork and keys and that was it. It is an 04 man sedan and had 40k on its clock and 3 yrs later now with 91k on it. We have not yet had a service and the only thing that has let us down is the battery so we can't argue about that. We would get another one for sure because where lese can you get everything as standard cruise, elec windows, fogs what more can you need, regards wiskas.
Looks good, goes good
Nothing really

I have only had this car a month or so, having bought it off my sister who purchased it new 2 years ago. There have never been any problems with it, and the only repair that had to be done was because of vandals, not because of the car itself. Very good steering, air conditioner is fantastc. Good sound from stereo, and pretty good fuel consumption. Havent had problems with brakes as others have reported.
Very nice shape, good quality interior, good fuel consumption with about 450km per tank. (auto model)
Most sunglasses dont fit in the sunglasses compartment over head.

After 18 months & 47,000klms I have not had a problem. Economy has been good. The car is well optioned and nice to drive. My wife finds it easy to drive & it has sufficient power (105kw) for overtaking etc. A 2 litre car costing $3k+ less than other 2 litre cars.
Nice looking (hatchback), great value, well optioned, strong & proven (Hyundai Elantra) motor, good economy (36mpg driven hard).
Gearchange could be a bit more positive.

Fair price for our 3rd and last Kia. Clutch failed at 30,000kms, dealer and importer unresponsive. A 2 litre vehicle at this price is a big plus. Spark plug lead failures in earlier Carnivals and Mentors seems to have been fixed.
Responsive engine. Good fuel economy. Modern styling.
Poor importer support. Front type wear. Low clearance at front.

If you are looking for a solid, value for money medium size sedan with the grunt of a 2.0lt engine you can't go wrong. With power windows front and rear, cruise control, lots of storage compartments, 2 airbags, this car is hard to beat as a family sedan.
Cerato has to be one of the best value cars in it's category. It is packed with features and the 2.0lt 4cyl engine makes it a pleasure to drive. It is a medium size car with a solid "big car" feel and sound road handling to match. Build quality is excellent and design very functional. Rear seat leg room is good and there is a generous size boot.
Gear shift a bit loose, but not really a problem. Head room for rear seat adult passengers could be better. The CD player is not MP3.

I have owned other new cars before but the Cerato is by far the best. Go straight to your Kia dealer and buy one today.
Everything is fantastic. I get about 750 Km's out of 55 ltr tank. The person who is gettig 300 k's must have a hole in their tank. Cruise control is great.
There is nothing I can say that is bad

Superb vehicle, spacious, economical and stylish. Great value for money. Have owned Toyota's and Ford's, and the finish on this vehicle is up there with Toyota. Would recommend this car to anyone.
Well finished, very well optioned for the price and economical to run. My wife loves the car and that is a great recommendation in itself.
Clutch, brake and accelerator pedals a little too close together but apart from that minor complaint cannot find much to fault with the car.

Good car, good model, good seats, bad fuel economy. Nice car. My car is 1.6 DOHC motor, maybe if the motor is bigger and the weight of the car not too much. I think the proportion of power versus weight should improve the fuel economy.
Luxury car for the money. Great model.
BAD FUEL ECONOMY. With the full tank you only can ride aprox 300km (in city) in highway the fuel economy is better, you can improve 600km with the full tank. Whatever I live in the city, so my gas is not reliable.
