Toxic, pungent smell of Opera Limited Edition sofas disappointing
I purchased Opera limited edition leather special sofas x 2 and an ottoman from King Furniture. I was looking forward to having this new furniture in my new home with the leather smell. They arrived as arranged and assembled without issue. The smell that went through the house was pungent and toxic. It was offensive for us as well as visitors. When highlighting this to Sales staff at King Furniture they stated that this was not usual however they did acknowledge to engage an independent technician to review. nteresting my sister also purchased the same product and experienced the same issues. She lives in a completely different State and had her furniture delivered a month later than mine. At this stage King Furniture has not acknowledged the issue or proposed a solution besides "keep the windows open"

Don't waste your money. Terrible quality at high price
We bought the King Living sofa as it fits our apartment perfectly in terms of size and our friends seem to have very good quality sofas from old King Furniture.
However, our sofa got dented in the base after 2 months of mild usage. The leather surface already wrinkled despite sitting on the sofa for a couple of hours during night time on weekdays. If the ieatwords portal allows photos I would post it online. I am very disappointed having paid $5000 for a sofa that lasts for 2 months. The quality is really shocking.

Badly made and terrible customer service
The sofa does not look like the nice display sofas in the showrooms - there are big gaps between where the back cushions are supposed to nicely meet the seat cushions - making for a bad look! It took 2 detailed texts and 5 emails and 2 days for King furniture to to respond to the problem - which they think will sort itself out (hardly - there is no way, the gap is over 5 cm). They will send a technician to the house to take a look in 2 and a half weeks ! In the meantime i have paid in full for a bad looking sofa. We have previously had an issue...Read more
with a tv unit from King being delivered in unsatisfactory condition (door didn't work, was hung incorrectly) - I think King Furniture need better product checking. King should ensure that the well made products displayed in the showrooms are the same products they deliver to the paying customer - from my experience the customer gets a poorer product and poor customer service.

Perfect for apartment dwellers
Living in an older river front apartment at New Farm we needed a smaller but stylish lounge. King Furniture was having a Sale and I picked up the Opera and an Ottoman for an amazing price. The colour is called Java and it matchs perfectly with our kitchen colour scheme and floor tiles. We had a dilemma when trying to fit it in the lift and it wouldn't fit. Within one day a measurer came out to assure us they could carry it up the stair well. 13 flights!! A fee was charged, which trust me was worth it! And two terrific delivery guys Graha...Read more
m and Jeremy had it up in under 15 minutes, out of the box and sitting perfectly in our little unit. Quality of the leather and stitching is obvious and I must say all staff were terrific in helping me out of the panic that I wouldn't be able to get it up to our unit!
