Easy to use!

published

It gives heat up quick. Light and safe to move when cooking. Easy to clean off the mess. Except one thing is, it is not used for non stick saucepans.

Purchased in March 2021 at Kmart for A$49.00.

A great buy

published

At first I was quite skeptical with this product. But I like it straight away the moment I realised that it works better than the gas stove etc because it can heat up to 240deg and do a slow cook at 60 and 80degrees. This is hard to come by whenever Kmart has it, it got sold out very quickly. For less than $50 it is such an amazing product although I have only usef it for a few months so I don't know how long this product will last.

The product is very portable and easy to clean. The temperature is displayed properly.

Can be noisy with the fan going on about 5mins even after I turn off the product, sometimes it produces high pitch noise too. The heat increment is 20deg. from 60 to 240, so I can't make it 90,110, 130 deg etc.

Bought it for camping, now using it as main stove top

It is lightweight, easy to clean, remains cools when operating, cooks extremely fast compared to my old electric element cooktop, and efficient. At $49 from KMart is it a bargain.

Some caveats: it heats up any container you put on it unexpectedly fast at the default setting. Thin-walled iron containers such as cake tins will warp and twist before your very eyes. Oil and butter will burn as soon as you turn your back. So turn it down to the minimum setting as soon as you turn it on.

Your old aluminium-bottomed pots and pans will not work. Check the labels of any pots and pans you buy to make sure they are compatible with induction cook tops.

Purchased in July 2021 for A$49.00.

Affordable & works well

I've been using this as the only hotplate for about a year. It works well, heats quickly and is easy to use (after you read the instructions) and easy to clean. So far I have had no issues and it is used almost daily.

Purchased in April 2021 at Kmart Retail Stores for A$49.95.

no, it heats up the pan. It works a little like the casing of a transformer that heats up when in use. The wiring etc is the part in the cooker and the steel casing is whats in the base of your pan. When the pan is near the cooker it produces heat. The cooker wont start until the pan is near it.Essentially the glass doesn't get hot but the pan does. Just be aware the. glass can pick up some heat radiating from the pan.
