No issues
Have had driven through rough and wet weather and I see no problems with them.. just been on a 2 day long trip with full board and the drive was smooth.
Purchased in September 2021 at Mycar (Kmart Tyre & Auto Service) for $358.00.

Not great
An ok tyre, not great. Not very good grip in the wet for a van. They were recommended for the vehicle but I wouldn't purchase them again. On the positive side they are a smooth ride and have worn well. Just not a good tyre in the wet is all.

smoother than the Achilles LTR80's
after using the Achilles LTR80 tyres on my previous 2013 model toyota hiace lwb van, i was certain they would be the only tyres i will ever use again while courier driving. 8 ply, thick block tread, great grip, long mileage and 104 bucks each........when i got my new 2016 van and the factory fitted shithouse, never would buy, terrible wet grip, bridgestones died at 21,000km.....i was about to buy 4 new LTR80's until i seen khumo portran kc53 were on special buy 3 get 1 free plus free wheel alignment and the total price worked out only $8 more t...Read more
han the LTR80'S, i decided to try the khumo portran kc53's. At first look, the khumo seemed to lack the aggressive thick chunky tread that the achilles have. However the khumo tread depth on the water channels are very deep on closer inspection. the pattern itself appears basic compared to the Achilles. i was beginning to think why did i not stick to the achilles LTR80, until i drove the van. The difference of feel on the road was huge over the Achilles. The Khumo portran were so smooth and extremely responsive on steering. there is almpst no road noise from them. the braking grip is exceptional as is the handling in the wet. The achilles LTR80's had great grip but these khumos are like super glue in comparison. the achiles lasted just under 30,000km so it will be interesting to see if these khumo portran kc53 tyres last as long. If the mileage on the khumo are as good as the Achilles, these portran kc53 will be a hard to be tyre in the courier useage.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Light Commercial Tyre for Towing
I'm now on my second set of these tyres. Got over 80,000klms out of the last set and that was after towing a 2 tonne caravan on a couple of very large trips. I originally purchased these tyres because of there reputation for being a comfortable Light Commrecial tyre but was surprised at how well they lasted towing the caravan. I Think I could have probably got 100,000klm out of the first set but I don't like to let my tyres get too low.
