As potential purchaser of a HSE 2020 reading these reviews I am a little nervous.I have owned landrovers for 8 years with no major hassles. Am I pushing my luck contemplating buying a 4th one?

Hello Keleb, I too shared your apprehension about buying the Discovery 5. However, I ended up going ahead and bought my HSE in July 2022 and I do not have one regret! My wife and I have done 15,000km so far (due to Covid19 we have hardly travelled in the past few months) and 7,000km of that was towing our 20ft caravan from South Aust to outback Queensland and back. The car is so comfortable, has great power for towing, and we are extremely happy with the economy. Offroad, it has out performed any of the other 4WDs we have owned. It has not missed a beat. I'm not affiliated with Land Rover in any way, but I can easily say that this is the best car we have ever owned!

Thanks Deedub..I'll keep on the case...the change over price will be critical as will decent off road tyres which have been very hard to get for my current 2015 Disco 5.Any suggestions?

Has anyone had their Balance Shaft replaced in the Discovery 5? My car is 8 months old, has done about 5000 kms, and is currently booked in for both a leaking windscreen and replacement of the balance shaft. Unbelievable in a new car!

Are nearly all the new discovery 5, lemons? Seems a lot out there. Unfortunately ours is one 600klm and electric problems they don’t seem to have parts for. And service, there isn’t any or very little.

I have a Discovery 3. Only now at 192XXX Km's had i got problems. I would be asking for a refund or threaten with Legal Action. Contact Consumer Law, because it's you right to get what you pay for and not a Lemon. Before you contact the dealer, don't forget to give your nastiest review of what you bought, the grief it's given you and how you have had to waste so much time trying to sort your issues. When your review upsets their sales, you will be heard! Nasty as it is, you don't have time to waste, as you have already wasted money buying it!

Yes, will be putting it out there, to warn other people, in the process of accc, and consumer affairs. Manufacturers of cars should be held accountable, like everyone else

Can anyone tell me with the new Discovery 5, if you only want 5 seats (ie no third row) as I do not need a people mover. Space saved by no third row, does this give additional storage space or is the spare wheel relocated from underneath the same as the Range Rover??

Not sure about the tyre but the third row or space for two more seats folds down into the storage area so you may have more seats but less storage the seats fold down very flat. We only wanted a 5 seater but have used these seats sometimes.
