Best thing we ever did
This camper is relatively easy to set up and pack up and awesome in the wind as it’s not as high as some others. We love it it’s been a life changer for us
Purchased in January 2021.

awsome camper trailer best value great product.
purchased a brand new Aztec X track late December 2018, I shopped around a lot and did a lot of research, we initially only wanted a second hand camper or a cheapy, when I visited there store I spotted the aztec and was very interested, shape, storage, strong looks, fridge drawers, I dwelled on it for a few weeks, and eventually it all made sense to go for this camper over all others I had looked at, had a small issue getting salesman to email, turned out he had wrong email address on his card, (S-b throw those cards away) eventually we made co...Read more
ntact with owner and he could'nt be more helpful and looked after us on this camper 2 days before Xmas. we have used it twice now and we love it. went souh for first 1 week trip, and went North for second 1 week trip, loads of space for storage, sooo much space we didnt need to put anything in the 4wd except drinks and pillows for the trip. very strong suspension, tows like it wasnt there. did I mention space you have to check it yourself to understand the amount of storage. we had trouble filling the water tank but turns out you have to do it slowly, the breather only allows so much air out so only so much can go in, leisure matters are looking for a solution but currently it is better to slowly fill then for dust to get in, I did go back to show room to look at how to put the annexe up as this is badly instructed in the booklet (leaflet) the main section folds up and ready to go in less than 10 mins but the annexe took us over 2.5 hours with a lot of cursing and swearing, now I have done it once I think it will be much easier. we have added a 240v inverter, solar panels, some extra water tanks, toilet and shower setup, and had no issues camping off the grid, it also has a tow hitch at back to put bike carrier. I have given 4.5 out of 5 stars only because maybe they should do a video on how to set up the annexe on youtube or something, and maybe communicate and followup with there customers but overall we are very pleased with our camper trailer. great value camper trailer, thankyou

Would never recommend
I took it for my first real camping trip i have owned it for 4 years but as everyone knows its hard to find time to get away i have never had all my gear loaded in the camper until now i would have barley had 350kg of gear in it that's including my inflatable zodiac and my wheels where scrubbing out and the springs looked over loaded legally the camper is supposed to carry 650kg i should have had 300kg of wiggle room i had to move the heavy gear to my car taking this thing off road my water tank cracked loosing all my water but i thought no b...Read more
ig deal i still have 2 Jerry cans with water i can weld the tank when i get home. All my gear stored in the tool boxes where covered in dust the seals did nothing at all but still i thought no biggie ill put better seals on but the thing that got me is i have barley done maybe 150km of off road when i feel a massive bang and jarring once i stop to have a look my U bolts have snapped and i have run over my own wheel bursting the tire and smashing the rim a friend had a set of 2 U bolts so i managed to get it back on the road driving extra wary 30min later it happen again to the other side no i was up creek i was 200km from the nearest service my friend had to try and go looking for some U bolts or anything to try and help me get back on the track having my misses and my 6 year old crying because of the situation we where in. Took me 3 days to get it to a safe toe-able condition i finally get it back to Perth i take it in to the showroom to show them that the trailer was nowhere up to spec the customer service was so terrible they told me "whats the problem i managed to drive it to them" Form what i have left from the U bolts you can see that the material used is of very poor quality i do however cont myself lucky because it sends shivers down my spine to think if this had happen on the road doing 100km/ph Leisure matters do not live up to there name this has caused me and my family a massive amount of distress i would never recommend any of there trailers to any one i should have been smarter or i wish someone would have told me the dangers of there campers.Similar opinion? Terrible Customer Service
We bought a 2012 LM-CTT soft floor camper from a friend who brought it over to WA from NSW. It has been a great little camper and we have done about 40,000km travelling around WA and a full lap around Oz to Cape York.
It has need a bit of minor maintenance including new hitch damper, water pump cleaning, jockey wheel, electric plug, wheel bearings and shocks. All to be expected with this amount of kms across many corrugated dirt roads.
The problem has been WA service. All WA does is deflect questions and not provide any service or part infor...Read more

Had for 5yrs now and is perfect
We brought our trooper deluxe from the brisbane showroom 5 years ago, the staff were very helpfull at the time. We have had very little issues with the camper during the 5years we have no owned it. We take it from Sunshine coast to Ballina to Fraser island to Mackay, we have been through some crazy storms in this and never any damage and you are dry, warm and comfortable. The quality of the tent is fantastic and the main room is super fast to set up and the full annuxe is quick once you work out the pattern. I did months on research before buying this camper to make sure it ticks all the boxes and 5yrs later it still does.

Shockin customer service.
Purchased a Traveller Delux from Leisure Matters in Bayswater, WA, from new this trailer has presented problems, for none of which LM has taken responsibility. After driving WA to SA- all on sealed road- I noticed the shock absorbers had seized which meant they acted like steel rods against the leaf springs. One of the brackets sheared off, leaving the leaf springs in danger of collapsing; fortunately this did not happen. After speaking with [name removed], who agreed to cover the cost of some emergency welding, I have heard nothing and receive...Read more
d no reimbursement for the welding, cost $300, even though under warranty. Extremely disappointing- dangerous even. Additional problems encountered from new: electric brakes not connected to drums- had to wire myself! Water tank not filling properly due to air release valve not big enough; cheap wingnuts on tent poles- have had to replace several already with different solution. I suppose if I were to spend $2000+/- I could fix all the dramas and still have spent less than LM's nearest competitor but what really grinds me is [name removed] seemingly arrogant response to my problem, given I am now in a different state. Having contacted him several times by email, I have had no response; over the phone, he will happily promise payment but then nothing. The customer service here is appalling and I wish I had time/money to do something about this. I am $300 down on this camper and I am waiting for the next major issue to arise. I will not be returning to LM for any future camper purchases.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

the walk thru
I just hired this from a dodgy operator in Kardinya. These campers are the Aztec cheapo Chinese made. The water gauge never worked and the main cooker did not work. We ran out of water at 10pm at night at a campsite with nearest water 8km away. We were thrilled. Then the voltmeter stopped working and I could not tell condition of batteries. After the whinging by Rob from camperhire company at the booking about the batteries dying, I decided to do the right thing by the guy and I ran the genset pretty much all the available time I could. ...Read more
I tried to resolve the problem with Rob when I got into phone range and he got all shirty with me like it was my fault the voltmeter broke. How or why would I do that. Next time I won’t do the right thing Half the awning poles pins & hooks were broken and when we tried to assemble we had to use tape, wire. If you are not really handy or MacGyver then you wouldn’t be able to put it up. Luckily I brought duct tape and thick wire. It blew over 2 times with any sort of strong wind. We could not use the sides. Clearly this was not checked or tested before it was given to me. Then the aluminum Reece hitch socket holding our bikes cracked on a unsealed road (not even a 4wd track) Interestingly, the fatigue strength of aluminium is very poor and if you ever seen bikes bouncing on a bike rack, you know what I'm talking about. It was lucky the bikes didn’t break right off. Unfortunately we had to put the bike's on top of the camper which caused some damage to the checker plate. This was on an sealed road just out of Tom Price with traffic and a dust bomb coming through every 5 minutes. We were not amused. Never take this off road. We were amazed it made it back. I was just waiting for a wheel to fall off after all the dramasSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great Value
I spent months researching solid floor campers. Most of that time looking for a "pre loved" unit that hopefully had spent most of its life garaged. Eventually, I bit the bullet and bought a Ranger from Leisure matters at Slacks Creek. Their new manager, [name removed], was a pleasure to deal with. [name removed] went well out of his way to help me sort out my needs, resulting in my being able to aquire the Ranger at a competitive price. After a smooth 1200K drive home, I decided to inspect the wiring with a little more diligence than at their s...Read more
howroom. An hour later I had upgraded a couple of wire connectors to a better standard and sealed the toolbox hinges with some roof & gutter silicone. We have been away camping only once since buying the unit in March. A 50mm pillow top cover over the otherwise generous queen size bed, made sleeping more comfortable. Other than that, we are extremely happy with the trailer. We expected to have to do a couple of small mods to bring it up to scratch, but when the price is taken into consideration, nobody could deny the value in these campers.Similar opinion? It passed the Cape test
The Trooper Deluxe is built like a tank. A friend and I recently took one up to the Cape for a 3 week fishing trip. It handled the rough road conditions very well being pulled around like a rag doll by a V8 Landcruiser wagon. We only had to tighten the stone guard once but that was after about 1000 k's of offroad. Great value for money LM, cheers.
Very reliable, lots of space inside and didn't break the bank.

The Taj Mahal of Camper Trailers
We set up our Leisure Matters Trooper Deluxe Camper Trailer twice and it was very high quality fantastic design where you can just keep adding annexes. It was huge - you could easily fit two families in it. The water tank pipe did develop a kink which lead to a leak in it, but leisure matters were very happy to replace the pipe for us free of charge. Other campers were envious of the space inside. It had a comfortable built in mattress, was very waterproof and the zippers which joined the annexes together were all very durable. The stitch...Read more
ing was also of high quality. The sink which had an electric pump was a good size. We loved all the lockable storage compartments on both sides of the trailer and the toolbox fitted so much in it. The flooring was very durable and the use of thick and strong velcro to attach the flooring to the walls and the walls to walls, floor and ceiling kept the rain out and helped hold the tent structure together very well. The Gas arms were very effective when opening and closing the top. There was a lot of storage space inside the trailer and also extra room under the cover to fit extra tarps, floor mats, tables, clothes racks as well as the two extra annexes we bought. Good quality and good value for money. It's preferable to have more than two people set it up if you are adding extra annexes, more hands will make it a lot quicker.Similar opinion? Very good service, Much better than similar camper trailers.
I did not bought this model but got a Ranger in their Brisbane site. Comparing to their price and service, I believe it is a good deal.I got a really wonderful trip fun with my whole family in weekend. I must say what the ranger is a well made product with the excellent after purchase service as well.
Excellent service! Quick response!
Tiny problem with water pump and fixed by other repairer and got reimbursed

Worst camper trailers ever!
Cheap camper trailers that are imported from china! I understand you get what you pay for but when I picked my trailer up it was suppose to be brand new and it was already rusted! These trailers are cheap and nasty and by far the worst trailers in the market! Had teenage boys putting trailers together absolutely disgusting! Ip would never in a million years recommend leisure matters camper trailers!
Nothing!!!
Rusted, brakes didn't work, leaking water tank, Gibbs to tight, faulty tent, bad service

Are there instructions for setting up and packing away trooper deluxe camper trailer

Thomasina M.asked
Is there a setup video or instruction on how to setup trooper deluxe 2012 we bought second hand please help
5 answers
No there isn’t
As I said in my review they should
All there tents are the same so you can go and see one setup at there sales office
My suggestion is set it up before going away the 4 posts for annex are different size so make sure long ones are in middle
It takes us 20 minutes to fully setup main unit then another 30 minutes to set up annexe two people required but 3-4 makes it much easier
Hi Thomasina I have laminated pictures of where all the posts go and have marked all the posts with numbers if I work out how to share a picture on here I will
If you email me your number or email I will send you the pictures [email removed]
