Awesome bike
Recived the tirol on the 24th march, was impressed on the quality, easy to put together, was super happy with the first ride, now I look forward to a daily ride, I have rode it every day with highest pedal assist and battery still reads full on my return home, would recommend this model to anyone,

Great Bike
The bike is great! Went for 20 km ride this morning and was very pleased with the operation of the bike. I did have a 20" E bike before (not a Leitner)) and this is far superior, the controls are easy to use and I can ride the bike without power or power assist and love the fact I have 3 grades of power which was great as I often tow a small trailer with our Jack Russel in..

The Leitner is an Excellent EBike
This is my second Ebike and the Leitner is vastly superior to its predecessor. Lighter, better made with clearly better quality materials and the Leitner folds up and at only a marginally greater price than the old one. Exceptionally good packaging. Assembly was easy enough and the instructions very clear. A clip on or folding rear vision mirror would be as asset and there really isn't space on the right handle bar to fit one but beyond that I can make no criticism.

Better than expected
Took delivery on Wednesday. Assembly took about one hour. The following day went on a 66km ride that I am very familiar with having done it about 30 times. It involves 496m of climbing according to Strava. I opted for the larger 16Ah battery and when I got home, having averaged 20kph for the trip the battery had only lost one out of the three lights which suggests that the claim of a range of 80km may be conservative. This is a very well built and strong bike. It's heavy of course but that is not so relevant with an e bike and means it's tough...Read more
, and should handle the rough roads well for years to come. No rattles or squeaks at all. The components are all entry level which, at this price point is to be expected but that doesn't mean they are rubbish. On the contrary, the gears are smooth and quiet and the brakes are powerful and smooth. I especially appreciate the disc brake on the front as it's a lot stronger in operation than the rear V brake which is desirable as 70% of your braking effort is on the front wheel anyway due to weight transfer. Other things I like are the wired in lights operated from a button on the control panel the adjustable suspension forks and the other extras like a nice rear rack and bell, all included in the very reasonable price. I am delighted with this bike. Being a 10,000km-a-year Lycra-wearing cyclist and having owned a full carbon ultra lightweight racing bike and as a former Audax club member I am used to long distance cycling and the Leitner electric bike adds a whole new dimension of cycling fun.

Even better than I had anticipated.
My wife and I are just learning to ride our Libelle and Tirol respectively after about 50 years since we last rode a bike.
We found the power assist a bit daunting for a start but I believe that with a bit of practice it will just become a natural part of riding.
Very impressed with the standard of workmanship and general quality and would not hesitate to recommend to others.

I'm not able to ride a normal Bike nor can I walk very far
Hi this review is only a Brief impression and not completed yet. I will follow up with a full Riding report in 1month.
I have chosen the Leitner Tirol because it had the right price compared to the competition it offered me a need being disabled and going towards 70 . This Bike had the best choices offering the best Battery extra compared, it was so easy to assemble and very well packed Leitner kept me informed very well.
I have but 2 little things I do not like so far the Manual is only online via PDF and the front light cable is a bit of a ...Read more

you read my review; it shows that not only did I buy a quality product but from a company that cares. Kind Regards Wolf N.B. No Rain issues are most likely because you state not to use your Product in the Rain so your Statement is self defeating and I say this with Humor but since you have mentioned that it is ok for a few minutes I will make this known in my next Report and if no other issues I'll update form 4 Stars to 5 !Leitner E.Leitner
Thanks Wolf for your reply and my apologies for getting your name wrong! I hope you'll be able to enjoy your bike soon and I'm looking for an updated report. Have a good day Regards Leitner E bikes

Great value and great support
One of the potential drawbacks of buying over the internet is that when the product arrives it may not be as described; the company is less than ethical and there is little or no support. I am more than pleased to say that this is not the case with Leitner. The few dealings I have had with this company have been exceptional. My Tirol fold-up arrived a day or two before they promised. Everything was as it was supposed to be and although I subsequently had one small issue this was resolved immediately and without hesitation. The bike is everything it is cracked up to be and represents exceptional value compared to others on the market. I cannot recommend too highly this bike and this company.

The best bicycle I have ever had.
Excellent quality product and service, would recommend without hesitation. The bike was delivered in a timely manner and the instructions manual with explainatory guide and pictures simple to follow. I look forward to many enjoyable years of cycling on my new Leitner Tirol. And it was so easy to order over the Internet.

What a find
Now in my 80th year, and always a bike rider, I had to finally admit defeat with ordinary bikes. So.... what to do? The answer came with the folding Leitner Tirol e bike delivered in the West a few days ago. Pete rides again, and the hills are no longer a prob. I can see the passing parade [the rat race] from the comfort [and exercise a bit] from my folding Tirol. Now - dare I unleash the beast to its full 25 kph unassisted. That might be a bridge too far. Leitner, Ephraem and Sam - ''good job''.

A very satisfied customer
I purchased my Tyrol model folding bicycle 3 months ago and wanted a little time to go by before I wrote a review. First up, the bike and customer service deserve 5 stars, no doubt about it. But I do want to be objective and pass on a couple of small details that some buyers might want to know about. Before that though, at around $1,100 this bike is very solid and well built. I have been riding it about 8 km to and from work a couple of times a week. It can be unfolded and ready to go in just a couple of minutes. There are no nasty rattles and ...Read more
the gear changes are very smooth. As far as the battery goes, I can easily do 3 rides to work without recharge, although when I'm running late and get lazy and use the high power setting it can drain the battery a bit more quickly which is only to be expected. No problem of course if you charge the battery each night. As for the customer service, Ephraem was top notch. Whether by email, text or phone he was always very helpful and polite. Upon pulling the bike out of its box I discovered a couple of damaged cables. Ephraem forwarded replacement parts no charge once he was satisfied through my provision of photo evidence etc. I guess a couple of things that may concern people... the bike is heavy at around 25kg and some might find it difficult to lift down steps or load into a car boot. (Think of lifting a lawn mower into the car). I also wish there was a series of lower gears. When using the high power setting, you'll find your legs fair going, (on flat ground, that is). However I should point out that you can keep the motor running by pedalling slowly, there's just no sensation of actually contributing any motion yourself. This is not the case with the lower power settings. I definitely feel I have had some good exercise when I arrive at work. The extra power push makes the whole riding experience much more pleasant, especially on the hills. Who wants to get to work all hot and sweaty! When all things are considered, including the attractive price as compared to many other electric bikes on the market, this is a winner and I am certain I made the right decision for my needs. Thanks Leitner Bikes. JohnSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

a downloadable file, because then we can include lots of pictues and a very detailed description. I do understand that you may have preferred a shorter printed version. Sorry to hear you didn't like the front light cable and that the bike is not recommended to be ridden in the rain. Although we didn't get any reports so far about any issues of the bikes in the rain and it's ok to be ridden in the rain for about 5 minutes, we do recommend not to ride it in the rain for a long time, as the water may cause damage to the electric components. I hope in the meantime you have been enjoying the bike. Feel free to contact us on 1300 856 725 if you need any further assistance. Regards, Leitner E bikes.
