Hi, I test rode it and it wasn't going to be suitable for the longer rides I was doing but maybe for stop start stuff would be perfect, go for a test ride so you get a feel for it, I've heard people use it for short rides when travelling and it's been perfect for that, good luck

Hi Paul,

thank you for your question.

I have personally used the Leitner electric folding bike as a leaflet delivery bike and it is suitable.
Depending on the distance you are planning to cover, it may be helpful to buy a spare battery (current pricing $350 for a spare 10 Ah battery) or to upgrade the standard 10Ah battery to a 16Ah battery (current price for the upgrade: $220). A standard 10Ah battery goes for about 30-50km, carrying a spare 10Ah battery will cover about 60-100km and a 16Ah battery will cover about 50-80km. These are estimates and depend on the terrain, weight of the rider and riding style.

I hope this helps.

Yes it would be ideal. Get a spare battery or the larger battery.

Hi,
Yes have it on the lowest gear and your feet have to be going around and you have it on the highest setting for speed and away you go, I actually only use the power for hills and if I want some extra speed as I have a back injury and can't get up hills on my own so it gives me what I need, I'm getting at least 50 klm's as I don't have it running all the time, this is my 2nd electric bike and I'm so impressed with it, I hope that helps, good luck

Hi Merv
My wife and I are in our 60's and we take our bikes camping on our caravan, we pedal as normal for as long as we can then turn on the pedal assist which helps with hills etc when we am getting tired. When we are both exhausted we press the red button and use the hand throttle and no pedaling is required. This will use up more battery power but it does last quite a long time. We have ridden over 10 kms and still had nearly a full charge. Cheers and good luck. PS. the after sales service was also very good.

Hi Merv,

Thank you for your question.

The standard version of Leitner Electric Bikes goes 6km/h with throttle only and then turning the pedals, even if it's very slowly, will accelerate the bike to 25km/h.

A quick 25km/h throttle can be installed to use the bike with virtually no pedalling.

Contact us on [email protected] or 0450 213 166 or www.leitner.com.au for further information.

I hope this helps.
